Not reliable! Confirmed reservations means nothing! Left stranded!

Never go here. We actually had booked with both Avis and Budget for 2 separate reasons over Labor Day. For the first rental - with Budget (at the same location/counter), I arrived about an hour late, and they gave away the car I'd "reserved" online! So then they wanted us to "wait" until another car came in! We said - NO WAY, and cancelled the reservation - with of course a $50 cancellation fee. SECOND Reservation was with Avis a couple days later. We got there on time, and they did NOT HAVE THE CLASS OF CAR we reserved (luxury, as we were driving from GA to FL). The guy at the counter tries to upsell me THE CURRENT DAY'S RATE AND GIVES US A SUV - FORD! ewww! Finally, after I complained - he gave a $10/day (2 day rental) discount to my husband (not to me...) Sexist, anyone?As I said - don't ever give them your business.

Not reliable, booked online and i got to Budget and my car was not there at the time i booked. They only gave me an option to upgrade or wait. No accommodation or remorse at all. Don’t come here

As a follow-up to my previous negative review of Avis Car Rental written on 7/14 for an incident that occurred on 7/4, I am pleased to report that the customer service department at Avis Rental responded to my complaint in detail today and adequately addressed my concerns.

0 stars if possible. Absolutely horrible management and the owner is beyond rude and judgmental. He only cares about money, not customers; scams the hell out of you. Never rent from here, save your hard earned money!!!

I will never rent from Budget rental company again. First, they overbooked and I was over an hour late leaving for trip because I had to wait for a car. They put me in a car that costs more in gas than the smaller car I ordered. The car was dirty and I could tell had not been cleaned out from the previous user.Then when I dropped the car off I was an hour late because of an accident on my way home. When I checked in absolutely nothing was mentioned to me charging me for a full day for being an hour late. In fact I stood there and made sure before I left that everything was good and there was nothing else I needed to do. The man assured me I was good to go. It wasn’t until three days later when I happened to check my credit card balance that I saw where Budget charged me an additional $123.10 because I was late returning the car. I have tried calling multiple times to get an explanation for this and no one will return my calls.This place is very unprofessional and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Woot! There was a car available from the advertisement! Make sure you check the rental car for damage and take pictures and also check the amount of gas so that you're not liable to "pay" for it later. Don't get screwed in a bad way. Literally, within 3 seconds and no hassle. Yay, now we can all go to the aquarium kids! Hop in!

Yesterday, March 31, I came to this Avis location because their web page showed me that they had 3 weekend autos available. Oddly, the site wouldn't accept a reservation, so I came in person. As soon as I walked in the door, the middle aged man behind the counter glared at me with distinctly unfriendly body language. I asked if a weekend rental was available. His curt answer was, "No, we will not lease to you." I asked my friend who had driven me there if he felt the negative vibe, too, and he said "Oh hell yes. He definitely busted your chops." I am half-,Japanese, but have never felt discriminated against. Until today.

Be careful with this rental car company! We picked up the car at the Florida airport. There are many documents for you to sign when picking up the car. She speaks very, very fast, she did it on purpose! When returning the car, no one checks the car in front of you, and asks you to park it and hand over the keys before letting you go. After a while, I found that the credit card was overcharged by $50.12. Not a pleasant experience and will never use this company again.

I had a great experience and the guys were nice who helped me out with my rental. I was there for about 10 mins. They didn't pull the car up but they made me go find it. Giving 4 stars because the car that was given has a "Maintenance Required" which is ridiculous in my opinion. They should keep up with the maintenance. I didn't have time to go back and find out what it was. But other than that, I haven't had any issues with the cars or the experience at this location.

No rental cars available. I prepaid online 2 days prior and the online inventory stated the vehicle was available. On the day of the pickup, someone calls and tells me they do not have a car available at all. It is so easy to call and cancel a reservation, but only if they knew the amount of trouble they made in my life. I was going to a wedding and this was my only way to get there in time. Now I called every other rental companies and no one has the availability because I called in last second. I do not have any other way to get to Florida now and I am literally stuck in GA. Thank you so much for ruining my day and my plans! Words cannot describe how sad I am. One star is not even enough, I wish I can cause more damage to the company. Guys please do NOT use this company.

BAIT AND SWITCH My fiance and I made a pre-paid reservation with Budget for a SUV to pick-up at the Cumming location. We wanted to make our reservation at a different location, but the ones we considered were either closed or the SUVs were out of stock. We were driving out of state for our wedding and we needed the cargo room of a SUV for essential items we were bringing down. Upon arrival at the Cumming location, despite having a pre-paid reservation, my fiance and father were told there were no SUVs available at the Cumming location. Instead, my fiance was given a sedan. The contract and website state we are suppose to be given at least the EQUIVALENT within the category of what we rented. A sedan is not the equivalent of a SUV! When my fiance returned home I had him call the Budget location as I was quite upset. He put it on speakerphone so we would both be able to speak with them. The first person listened, said hold on and put us on hold. The guy who then answered the phone was completely unprofessional and flat out rude. He was TALKING OVER US and RAISING HIS VOICE, which was very ABUSIVE! His attitude was very much that we should take whatever he gives us and we're not allowed to say anything. We couldn't get a word in about why we selected the SUV in the first place because he obviously didn't care. It didn't matter to him that we needed room for 3 people, luggage and vitally important items for our WEDDING. However, he seemed to hear us when we asked if another location would have a SUV as he lowered the volume of his YELLING - except he completely ignored our question. We mentioned the SUV was not in the same category as a sedan. He then stated we could not get a refund because we pre-paid. Yet, we didn't ask for a refund...we merely pointed out the sedan was at least two categories below the SUV. It immediately raised a flag he must do this same practice to other renters. He claimed they would call us later that day or the next - according to him they were NOT closed on Memorial Day like the site said - so we could swap the sedan for a SUV. (They never called...) We immediately called corporate for Budget when we got off the phone with the Cumming location. It turns out in the state of Georgia nearly all the locations are franchises - meaning they cannot transfer your reservation to another lot or have them pull a vehicle for you from another location. You can drive to the airport (ATL, at least a hour and a half drive for us) to see what they have in stock, as we were told. You can also receive a refund for your reservation - even a partial one at the end of your rental - when you do not receive the equivalent of what you rented. Ultimately, even though corporate was much more professional and understanding of our situation, our advice would be to rent from another company. Under no circumstance should a so-called "professional" talk over you or raise their voice. The Cumming location took our money and "reservation" without actually reserving what we paid to rent. Clearly, they had no intention of giving us the SUV we paid more for and the fact the location refused to do anything to compensate was absolutely ridiculous.
