Horrible experience! Took my Doberman puppy who was having some symptoms of gout. Just for them to look at him cost $190 (when prior to me coming I called and was told it was $170) that should have been my first red flag with this place. I was then told my dog needed surgery which was going to cost me around $6,000-7,000 dollars. My jaw dropped as she told me those number with a straight face. She then told me I can sign up for a loan through them to cover the costs if I could not afford the surgery. All this place does is take advantage of pet lovers who are in need and have emergencies. I would never recommend this vet to anyone who genuinely loves their pet because all this place will do is run your wallets because they know you have no other options but to use them. Horrible crooked people and it’s such a shame.

My mother and I had to take my cat here for an emergency late at night over the weekend after my cat suddenly became paralyzed in his rear legs and could not walk. Every staff member we talked with was very kind and professional, which made the whole visit a lot more calming during stressful times. My cat was seen very quickly and was unfortunately diagnosed with saddle thrombus as well as blood clotting in his lungs, and as heart breaking as it was to hear, Dr. Stuart was very kind, direct, patient, empathetic, and explained everything in great detail and was able to quickly answer any questions we had and give any reassurance we needed. My mother and I were both crying messes, and at no point did I feel like I was being judged or shamed for crying as much as I did during this visit. Everyone was patient, empathetic, and understanding and let me take as much time as I needed to say goodbye. Although the outcome was the opposite of what I was hoping for, the staff here made this whole experience less painful than it could have been. ♡

They took good care of our sick cat. Office staff and vets were fantastic. Took time to answer our questions about the care for our kitty as well as billing. Really appreciated the way they took care of us.

This veterinary clinic is bad news - plain and simple. They are heavily, excessively & OVERLY motivated by money - totally apparent and not good. As a Vet clinic, they do have a right to make a profit - that is true. However, they engage in price gauging of necessary (not voluntary or optional) vet care/treatment & that is wrong. For me, this clinic's doctor, Elizabeth Perry failed to provide follow-up care concerning my need for a temp supply of a critical care medication. Second, their support staff - namely "Lee" was extremely rude to me when I contacted their office about needing a post care med script.Lastly, East Metro's business license was lapsed at the time I went for vet care & therefore, they legally were not allowed to operated under Georgia state law. I would recommend going to another ER Vet Clinic if at all possible.

I empathize with there being only one doctor on duty and that she is busy, but the complete disregard this doctor had for us last night was heart breaking. The only interaction we were given was when she handed me the clipboard with the price on it. We waited for hours trying to figure out what we should do with a $1200 bill (this was only for testing & bloodwork.) not once did this doctor stop by to have any kind of conversation, instead she had a nurse communicating with us. The worst part is when we decided to leave, we paid the office visit and we saw the doctor talking in great detail and attention with a guy who had just walked in and had his puppy sent to examine. Maybe she didn’t want to deal with us because she knew we didn’t have the money, or maybe because my dog is old; either way this is no way of going about your practice. Just disgraceful. This doctor was a Caucasian woman with blonde hair and I believe she had glasses (I was very distraught and tired at this point) I pray over this establishment I would NEVER wish this kind of behavior from a doctor onto anyone.

After being refused by another emergency clinic (that stated they see emergencies). I called EMAEC, I spoke with Anthony who was super compassionate on the phone, we decided it was better to be safe than sorry with our Bindi. We drove from Monroe to the clinic. We were welcomed and greeted right away, Anthony remembered our call and took our girl back right away to get her vitals. We were put in a room quickly. Anthony peeked in to see if we had been seen yet, we told him no, and someone was right in to take Bindi back to see the Vet. Dr. Liu came in and was very personable kind, and compassionate. He told us both the pros and cons and we decided to go ahead and get an X-ray just to be safe. Dr Liu was very thorough and explained everything to us. I definitely recommend EMAEC for your furbaby's emergencies!

Honestly so sad , vets just care about money! No payment plans or proper information on rescues. I simply try and save a pup & if you don’t have funds you don’t get any emergency services. Truth is none of these vets are truly in the business for the love of humans . It’s simply a pocket filler! They should be required to have a certain amount of funds for rescues and animals that need help. So they too can get services!

Absolutely horrible!!! They only care how much money they can get from you while your dog is sitting there suffering. They killed my dog. Gov Kemps office, ASPCA, all news channels have been informed. Can't wait for this place to face justice!! Animal cruelty, animal neglect and human bullying. Shame on you all!

East Metro Animal Emergency Clinic is such a blessing to have in our area. I have had to take my pets there many times throughout the years. Yesterday I had to take my sweet pup of 13 years to the clinic due to a cardiac event she was having. Sadly she did not make it, but the love and care she received while there meant so much to me. Dr. Miller and her staff showed me so much compassion while I had my last moments with my sweet pup. They were so kind to me and it really meant a lot. While I wish things could have turned out differently, I am very thankful that the East Metro team took care of my baby in her final moments. Thank you for all you do!

All they care about is money. Not the well being of the pet. Instead of telling you what’s wrong with the pet they show you a layout of all the charges you have to pay and it’s a ridiculous amount of money. If you are true animal lover that claim to be a doctor you would try your best to figure out something for the dog rather than demanding money without even running test first. The actual doctor just came in and never said what’swrong with my pet, she just walked in with the amount of everything and never seen her again after…

My fiancé and I took our 7 week old Rottie here last night. She was extremely weak and very dehydrated. I work in the animal care field so I knew that she didn’t have parvo or giardia but they insisted on testing her and talked about numbers before explaining the process of treatment. They would only give her an IV if she stayed overnight and proceeded to state that it would cost $1,500+ and refused to give her treatment unless we agreed to let her stay overnight. I told them that I’ll take her to my primary vet clinic in the morning. They said “okay” and proceeded to type up the invoice. On the invoice they typed “could pass away tonight.” Not one time did they ever stress that she wouldn’t make it through the night. Our sweet baby passed away this morning. Don’t take your pet here.

Took a minute to get seen, but there were several critical animals in front of us so it made sense. The nurse and doctor were nice and took good care of my pup giving her a benadryl and steroid shot for the reoccurring hives she'd been having.

My wife and I brought our cat, Cali, to East Metro Emergency and the Dr. and entire staff was very professional, concerned and caring. Our fur baby must have passed on the drive to their office and the entire staff was very respectful of our baby and us during this emotional event. Their made a room available to us to be with her for as long as we needed and their asked if they can do anything for us. EMA took care of the calls for the pet crematorium. The staff also sent a beautiful condolence card to us which was appreciated and unexpected. They are all All-Stars in our eyes.I would recommend them to anyone and would absolutely use their services in the future.

If i could leave no star I would. We are seeking action against this facility. They told us our dog needed a surgery which we couldnt afford so we had to surrender her. An employee (if she is an employee there)of theirs emails us back we a nasty email berating us and full of lies and defamation. She wasn’t even in the room but she sure has a story of what happened in the room with the vet which was inaccurate and what goes on in our home. There is no such thing as privacy in this place and incorrect information is shared and put out. Then she had the nerve to lie and say she was there. I was on facetime and she was not! Our dog had a corn on cob in her stomach(i dont even cook corn on the cob) but she told us we were bad owners pretty much. That could have been thrown in my yard from kids or neighbors near by. She spoke on us not having 4500 out of pocket but having two new pups. The pups were purchased before and were service dogs. She has no idea who purchased the dogs for us or the program that sponsored us for our kids with autism. Because we didnt have pet insurance according to her we failed her. she was up to date on everything but two shots which we had planned to get before the incident. She has an appointment the same time our other service dogs were going in. But according to her we failed her and pet insurance is only equivalent to a meal out to her and we should be able to afford it. Therapy for 3 special needs kids is 400 per week lady! This lady name was Tanya..She is rude. and incorrect on so much. They dont give u solutions. She got funds from others to pay for our girls surgery when we gave her up. They could have easily done the same with us as her owners. They are not there to help. We have already spoken to an attorney. Please take your animals elsewhere, all they care about is money and somehow incorrect information gets passed around. It was already enough to surrender our girl the. get a nasty email. The lady Tanya then renames her truffles when she has and answer to a name. She get telling future adopters she is a great dane mix because she has white on her paws when she is not! Her father was a merle! We have her akc papers and have papers and health tests of her parents, grandparents and great grandparents. She obviously likes control and doesnt listen. She take information she wants and comes to her own conclusion. She is trying to rehome a dog with false information. But this place I guess is okay with this
