I stopped by ingles in Covington to pick u a few items today at 2:30 pm. I unfortunately when through the wrong line to check out. It was at register #8. I greeted the lady and had no response from her at all. I didn't have my ingles card so I put in my phone number. She said it didn't work. I tried 2 more times with my number thinking I put it In incorrectly. Each time she said it didn't go through. I asked if she had a card that I can use because I have never had this problem. She said you can't use your number you have to use your card. She continued to check me out, by this time I accepted that I wouldn't get any discount. When she was done checking me out she yelled to the lady at the desk can you run a number for me? I thought she was maybe trying to check my number and then she did ask me for my number. I gave it to me and then she left her register to check my number. She came back with a number and told me you need to enter this. I said OK and I entered the number and I said i did it. I asked if it worked? she didn't answer me and I said oh yeah, it did work I see. I paid for my groceries and told her I hope she has a good day and I'm sorry that I inconvenienced her. She didn't tell me goodbye she didn't say thank you she didn't say no problem. I am not one to complain, but I've never ever been so upset for being treated so rudely when I am going to a store to purchase items from that store. I went directly to the manager, Rico . Rico listened to my story and he told me that that is not how they treat their customers and I told him that is how the lady on register eight treats your customers. He did tell me that he would talk to her.I prefer a Shopping in Ingles and have shopped at Ingles for 40 years . I have shopped at Publix in Kroger, but my main grocery store is a Ingles. If this kind of customer service continues, I will be going to other grocery stores. Mean people suck! #8

Visited on Saturday 8/21/21 5:00 pm. The store had many customers and all lines were long. The genius whose checkout line I had the misfortune of choosing didn't seem happy when people got into his line. My order came to $7.67 and I gave the cashier $20.70 and right away I could tell this was going to be a problem for him. After staring at the register a few seconds he proceeded to punch some numbers in and gave me $12.98 in change. I immediately and in a nice tone advised him that I should have gotten $13.07 back because I had given him the previously mentioned amount. The first words out of his mouth was "No, you gave me two quarters and two dimes" (Duh). He then looked towards the ceiling and said "oh". He picks up the phone at the register and calls a number that no one ever answered, I casually mentioned that I think the store have the registers fixed so that if you put in the amount given the register will give the cashier the amount of change to be returned. It was taking such a long while I decided I would not inconvenience my fellow shoppers any longer over a nickel so I told the cashier that I would take the loss and I left. The cashiers should be checked for basic math skills before being hired to run a register. He or she could always fill stock positions or janitorial. One final observation, after dealing with this same issue in other stores I wonder if those cashiers with this problem actually know that any cent amount from 1-9 have to be preceded with a zero after the decimal point (.01-.09). other than not knowing how to operate the register and lack of paying attention in school this could be the only conceivable answer.

Horrible customer service and the manager is a complete moron. He refused to accept a coupon that was attached to the item by the manufacturer. Said the weights were different. The store is cramped and hard to navigate with displays sitting everywhere. I will go to Walmart before I shop here again.

This store has horrible customer service starting with the store manager ask for help it's like you are bothering them checking out the cashier has bad attitude the deli clerks are the worst inconsistent with food prices and act as if it's a bother. This is not all Ingles just this one. I love Ingles but this is giving me a bad taste about your brand

Basically has everything you need. I would rather go to Publix or Kroger however for a greater selection and variety.
