Equipment is trash. Guy behind the counter isn’t welcoming, eager to show you around, nor eager to sign you up apparently. This place likely may go out of business soon as a result. So go next door to Planet Fitness. Better equipment, atmosphere, and pricing.Continued: After reading the owners response, after his childish name calling, I feel compelled to expand on my unacceptable experience at this gym. And let this one star review forever stain this establishment in the same way the owner and the employee I dealt with are also stains on their establishment.I myself am a small business owner. I not only live near Commerce but work and shop in and around the Commerce area but your establishment didn’t go so far as to say “Hello” when I walked in so I’m not sure where you got that I don’t live in the area. It certainly wasn’t through any conversation we had. Because I’m a small business owner I understand the importance of doing business with small business over big box businesses. That’s exactly why I was at your facility….to join. Despite the broke down equipment up against the walls and the pads on every piece of equipment needing replaced, I certainly still would have joined if the guy behind the counter did even just slightly more than grunt when I walked in and explained why I was there. For example: A basic greeting is required to earn new business. Usually upon knowing a potential customer has expressed interest in joining, a standard tour of the facilities is offered including the equipment area, the lockers, changing areas, and bathrooms. However, since it appeared that “grunt” wasn’t going to offer a basic tour of the facilities, I asked if I could look around. He said yes. I looked around until he asked me to leave the gym for daring to go down a hall I assumed to be the locker room….because again, no basic tour was offered. AnywayVery different experience at Planet Fitness. The staff was very friendly. A basic tour of the facilities was immediately offered including the large workout space, the immaculate equipment, massage chairs and tanning beds for those interested, and yes I even got to see the mens locker room, showers, and bathroom. All were very clean I might add so because of this and the willingness of Planet Fitness to be welcoming to nonmembers, I am now a member, a paying customer of Planet Fitness. I look forward to beginning my workouts today as a matter of fact. Thanks again. Have an awesome day.

Horrible experience. They're not welcoming to new customers. They offered no basic tour upon me expressing interest to join. So on my self given tour I dared venture down a hallway I assumed lead to the locker, I was asked to leave the gym. After I posted a negative review on Google, the owner responded with a bunch of assumptions followed up with some name calling. The pads are cracked and torn on all the equipment. Broke down equipment is pushed up against the wall. I won't be back. it wouldn't surprise me if they go out of business. Planet Fitness is in the same complex. Staff is welcoming. A standard tour was give. Everything was clean, new, and well kept. Planet Fitness is hands down the better place to workout.

This gym is wonderful and the owner is such a good man. The atmosphere is very welcoming and everyone there from staff to other members is very supportive and kind. I recommend this gym to anyone who needs a nice spot to work on their fitness goals in a true no judgement zone.

Bad customer service... I tried to understand about the cancellation over the phone and you argued about it...you should trait your customer better.

I love this place! Been here about 3 months and it has been such a great gym. The owner is helpful and informative. The people that attend the gym are so friendly and inviting. Everyone here is helpful, it’s more than a gym; it’s a gym family.

Owner is extremely rude. Tries to argue with clients. Verbally says one thing and sends threatening emails that contraindicate what the verbal agreement was. Makes random prices. You can usually find him looking at the female clients quite often, little freaky. Best advice is to head over to Planet Fitness where it’s cleaner, cheaper, no judgement, and newer equipment.

Great gym, lots of nice equipment, lots of room. Never gets real crowded even during peak hours. Staff is nice and accommodating. The yoga mats are pretty old and could be replaced. 24 hour access is convenient. There are signs all over which are informative, but a touch on the angry/vengeful side and it puts off a slightly negative vibe.

I have been trying to cancel membership for over 8 months with no luck. He then tried to call me a liar instead of trying to work with someone who had been a paying customer for over a year. Terrible service and a terrible owner. I also only owe $185 which is not more than $500. More shady business tactics.
