I get wow through my apartment. Thought it was fine because the apartment provided it rather than me having to subscribe for my own but I should have known they’d pick the cheapest option for Wi-Fi. I can’t even switch to a different provider. I have outages almost every month and every time I try to call to have it fixed they can’t help me because I don’t have an account because it’s provided by the apartment and to top it all off they outsource their technical support out of country so trying to explain the problem is a battle in and of itself. I just have to pray the internet comes back on its own since my apartment or WOW doesn’t seem to care

The service is terrible with constant outages and unrelable equipment. The customer service will take forever to reach and if you are over charged you have ti fight them tooth an nail to get it back. If there is any..and I mean ANY alternative, go with someone else.

I was promised a $300 visa gift card when I signed up for service. Never received it and when I called their NON-AMERICAN support, I was told I did not qualify. So they lied!Also, their Philippino support people can not speak English. WOW should be ashamed of theirselves for taking away American jobs.UPDATE: 02/12/2024. I received my gift card today, just out of the blue. So I thought I would be fair in updating. But it shouldn’t take complaining to make them keep their promise.Maybe if they quit trying to fill their company with off shore people, they could find decent American employees that would keep their customers support dept tip top.

KRISTION LOVE - Awesome TechRecently had issues at my parents house with the phone service after switching to WOW's phone plus plan. Their was no dial tone and their phone number that they've had over 30 years wasn't still associated with the account. Kristion quickly determined the issue, got the number reassigned back to the account, and went an extra mile. He did what at least 4 other techs couldn't do, which was getting their master bedroom phone line working again, too. He said something about overlooking a two way connection. All other techs said there was a problem with the line and left. He quickly resolved the issue, never just saying whatever before verifying. He also made some set top box changes to get the best cable experience. He was very professional and pleasant and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for sending Kristion!!! He was Awesome!

I gave a 1-star because 0-Star is unavailable. Terrible Internet Service and Customer Service. I discontinued service and was told I would be billed for over $600 for early termination of contract I never signed. Read all the reviews below - They tell a consistent story.

Their internet has been absolute garbage for the past few weeks, but when you call them or chat with them, they tell you nothing is wrong on their end. However, all the reviews here and on downdetector show a different story. I’m about to switch because I’m tired of my Internet crashing and slowing down. I didn’t say anything when they raised my price, but I’ll be darned if I’m going to pay this much for horrible service.

Modems are not any good, get your own router/modem and pay for the interney service. Wow kept blaming my VPN issues on my company's security settings but as it turns out once I got my own router, problem was solved and was just a defective modem.

The internet constantly goes out. We pay to have good internet, at least 200mb download speed, but it can’t even reach 50mb. I can’t do anything for more than 10-30 minutes without the speed going low enough to disconnect me from everything online.

If I could’ve given this company a zero rating I most definitely would’ve done so. But 1 star is the lowest I can do. These folks are liars and customer service is atrocious. My internet has been out for over 2 weeks now and every time I call they tell me that a technician was dispatched and they reset my modem, (which is a flat out lie). Not 1 tech has been to my home! Just one lie after the next!

Chat is a joke. They say anything to not have to work on an issue. Customer service is a joke. The internet isn't good. Technicians are very nice, but they send techs with no bucket truck so it's always another few days wait. Not a good place, neither is Mediacom

I absolutely HATE wow. The only reason I have them is because there were the only one that service in my area. If the wind blow to hard, no connection, if it's a regular day, no connection, if you're a day late, they turn you off and charge you a connection fee. Customer service isn't the worst it just takes hours to get the right person to assist. Look for someone else. 1.9 out of 5 is pretty bad. Everyone is not lying.
