NEVER GO TO THE SUNTRUST AT PEACHTREE MALL. I had a huge debacle with Suntrust; they flagged me for fraud when trying to open a personal checking account outside of my joint account there, told me the account was closed and would not be opened because of possible fraud, and then charged me fees for an account I don't have! I'm being charged for not allowing my checks to go through since I did not want my money tied into an account that does not exist, and on top of that they're charging me overdraft fees for not having money in my account at the time the fees were charged. That's $100 I'm paying because Suntrust flagged me for fraud and then mistakenly told me my accounts would not be opened/re-opened after this. Well, I went into the branch location at Peachtree Mall after a Suntrust customer service rep specifically told me to so I could try and talk to the branch manager about waiving these fees. The service I received there was horrendous. Patricia Wright, the rep I worked with, never took a moment to listen to what I was saying because she was too busy being condescending, disrespectful, and talking over me. She didn't want to help me at all, even though that's what she insisted she was doing, and kept looking for a way to blame my current bank for these charges instead. On top of not being accountable or empathetic, she started joking with a coworker and laughing together while I'm still fuming and confused. The only time she started treating me with respect was when I asked her manager if I could speak to her before I left the bank (Patricia never took the time to ask her manager to come over when I asked, so I had to initiate the request instead). The worst part of it all was when I was finally able to speak to her branch manager, Angela Hairston. I had to walk up to her since she never approached me, and once I did I regretted ever wasting my time at this location. She was worse than her rep! She kept talking about how she knew me and tried to call me about the checks that never went through, but there was no voicemail to show that she had. She and Patricia ran me in circles with dates and processes that did NOT match up with what happened on my two bank accounts, both blamed my current bank instead of offering to help, and Angela wasn't even willing to hear my side of the story before brushing me out of the door. I wish I had asked to speak to their district manager then, but I hadn't known that was a viable option at that time. I felt so disgusted with myself after that appalling experience, especially because I was willing to come back to Suntrust even after the fraud incident! Needless to say, I will never return to this branch again and I will never do business with Suntrust again.
