I took my car in for a Service B maintenance 7/9th. The light came on that it was due. Really overdue at this point. Now, I had to fly out 7/10th which I had to drive my car to Atlanta. I got the Service B done-cool! No problem. Now, let me mention I had mentioned to the Savannah my "battery" light had came on and I needed a battery. Long story short I did need battery, but that wasn't the fix I needed to stop my car from idling up and down when the light came on while running my AC. Well, 7/29th that infamous light came on again, so now I'm really frustrated because my problem still exist. I called back and everyone was very nice w/explaining everything to me, because I'm really frustrated. I did need battery, what was done --was done, but in my mind I ain't so convinced, because that darn light came on again and the car is idling up and down. The possibilities was endless as to what maybe wrong when that "check engine" light come on vs "the battery" light. So clueless and frustrated I am.
I made appointment for Thursday 8/1st to get this fixed maybe, because if the light doesn't come on doing a diagnostic it will not give a true reading or error message as to the problem. And on 7/30 I took my car in to check anyway because, I got to go to Atlanta, they ran the check. Jimmy brought me in his office, he was so thorough, gave examples, showed all of the read out on the print out and I'm still frustrated right. He was soooo nice to me. I went home hoping and praying that the light would come on before I got on I185.
Today, 7/31st on my way to the city and low and behold that light came on the"check engine" light. Yes! I'm nervous and I got to follow Jimmy's instructions that he gave the day before: call him, come to the shop, don't turn off the A/C unless I can pull over...yeah, yeah. I ain't doing that because I'm scared the car is going to cut off with all of the idling up and down. I turned around, headed to the shop, pulled up to the shop, hopped out of the car, door open and left the car running. So I followed some of the instructions. Jimmy is there and he was just ever so kind, mild and patience. He remember what he said to me the day before, got his scan out, came out to the car and hooked it up to my car and got a reading. Yessss!!!! He told me what was wrong, how much it was going to cost. I said fix it.
I'm in business now, no stresssss and I can drive anywhere I want to now. Oh by the way, Jimmy did say that my car wouldn't have died on me with the reading he got, but listen now I know it won't now for sure. Listen, they fixed my car in less than 1 hour. I'm good! I'm extremely happy! And my mind is at peace.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! A very happy and satisfied customer!
Did I say thank you Jimmy! Thank you, thank you! You are a jewel! Best customer service ever! :)

I used to go to Mercedes Mikes for 5 years. This is my second Mercedes and never had any issues with them doing maintenance on my car. I go there twice a year for my A and B service. At my most recent Service A inspection, I had to get my spark plugs and air filter replaced because I have more than 50,000 miles on my car. That’s a Mercedes recommendation that wasn’t new to me. But after driving for about 6 miles, my car started stuttering once I hit 65 mph. I took the next exit, driving down 2nd Ave and my car felt like it was about to die on me, had problems accelerating and the engine light came on. I knew immediately something was wrong with my spark plugs. So I took it back to Mercedes Mikes, where Jimmy asked me what light came on again because there weren’t any lights on when they drove it in the garage. I told him the engine light came on and that something is wrong with the spark plugs.
Jimmy later came back saying there was one faulty spark plug from the manufacturer that was replaced. I was so shocked that they didn’t check my car before they handed me back the keys. So I asked if they don’t check the cars after they do maintenance on them. He said it’s too EXPENSIVE and that only 1 out of 300 spark plugs from the manufacturer is faulty. And that they only cost $20. Yet they charged me $330 just for replacing 4 spark plugs. He then said it’s the same with buying a brand new car. The dealership would have to drive every car for at least 100 miles to see if something is wrong with them. That would be way too expensive so they don’t do that either. The comparison made total sense…NOT.
After driving my car for a week or so, I noticed my car was still stuttering and shaking once I hit 65 mph, so I took it back to Mercedes Mikes. Jimmy wasn’t there that day but I spoke with Mike who had told his employee/Admin Taylor to tell me that no error messages popped up on his computer and that he drove my car and could feel the shaking/stuttering but he needs my car for 1-2 DAYS to run more tests ? Taylor said that they’ve seen it a few times where the 2020 and 2021 C300s needed to have the cylinder caps replaced, it’s a “known” issue with this make and model. Since my car is out of the manufacturer warranty, she said if this is the issue to talk to Mercedes because this shouldn’t be a problem at such a low mileage for a car that’s less than 5 years old. When I asked who’s paying for all the tests that Mike needs to run, she went and grabbed him. Mike said it really depends on what the problem is but it’s so subtle right now that the computer doesn’t show an error yet ? I scheduled my appointment and was worried about needing a rental car for the time he needed to run more tests. I felt like I shouldn’t have to pay for a rental car though because I had no issues before I turned my car in.
But something just didn’t feel right about the conversations I had at Mercedes Mikes. So an out-of-town mechanic met me, plugged in his computer, and again, no error message so we took it for a spin. Shortly after I hit 65 mph he said it’s my tires. They need to be rebalanced and aligned. Have somebody check your brakes too, he said. So I went to Mavis Tires & Brakeswhere I bought my tires. When I explained the stuttering once I hit 65 mph, they immediately said my tires need to be rebalanced: They rebalanced my tires and checked my brakes but they are fine, thank god. Now my car drives as smoothly as before I dropped it off at Mercedes Mikes. What the heck did they do to my car?
Yesterday, I received a call from Jimmy telling me that Mike had ordered 4 new spark plugs and wants to replace them to make sure this is not causing the stuttering ? I told Jimmy that I already had the problem fixed and he asked what it was. I told him that the tires needed to be rebalanced. Silence. I asked Jimmy, if he thinks the computer would give him an error message if there was a problem with the spark plugs, and he said yes. Silence! I cancelled my appointment!

I am an 83-year-old Air Force Veteran with a low income showing on my tax returns and Mercedes Mikes has helped me many times by charging me the lowest prices I have found and often repairing items on my Mercedes without charge that I would have paid considerably for elsewhere. Having technical knowledge of electronics and computers used in today's autos is a must and Mikes knowledge has saved me time and money. JC

Jimmy talks to people like that are kids and he is an infant. Jimmy learn to give people transparent answers talking about powerball numbers is not a yes or no answer. A person who is smart would say “yes etc is not likely; but we do not recommend as the more you drive the more wear and tear it could cause. He has to be over 50 yrs old and has not learned to talk to people transparently.

Communicating with Jimmy at Mercedes Mike were inspiring in reference to repairing my S420 Mercedes, The faith that I had and have without the totaling completion of my transmission replacement lead me to rate the service as I did with total confidences that all will be well.

Mercedes Mikes is not a good place to take your car for repairs. You will have more problems with your car when that place finish with the repairs that you went there for. The little man that sits in the first office near the main entrance, is very rude and unprofessional. He makes silly unfounded excuses as to why there is a new problem with your car that wasn't there when you dropped your car off. Very untrustworthy company.

Had a situation and wasn’t happy about it. Spoke with someone, and at least reached a resolution. At this point I’ll just have to go with it. They do have the best prices.
