I’ve been a long time customer with Fred’s tires and I know they are under new ownership now, but it isn’t the same. I bought tires from Fred’s before the change and wanted to redeem my warranty since the last oil change they said I needed new tires. I bought the tires there, but they couldn’t honor the warranty bc they didn’t “know how to do it.” I understand that’s not staff fault but that is management duty to train their staff to honor their customers purchases which should also entail training for the process. Everything I’ve ever had done to my car has been by freds and just a little disappointed on how the customer satisfaction has decreased imo.

Lacks clear honest communication. Quote to fix my son's car was $404. I okayed the repairs, I am out of town and gave him my card to pay for the repairs when completed. My son picked up his car and returns the receipt to me for almost 100% the agreed amount. I was never contacted or authorized the extra 393 dollar charge. That is almost 100 % more!!!!!
I called and asked why, asked to have a manager call me. Nothing. No response. No one places an order for an agreed upon amount and then receives a bill for twice that...then thinks thats fair....no they would demand and explanation.
Over the last ten plus years, I have never had them charge me a penny more than quoted. I would not have paid this withoutsome explanation, except I was unaware, as I am out of town.
This is clearly not the same company is was for decades. I will never return or recommend. I do not know if the charge was fair or work was done correctly.....the work might be shady also.
What I know for certain is I was deceived or manipulated in the cost of the repairs....now how far or deep that goes you are welcome to discover for yourself.
NOW it is your choice, your consequences...I have had mine.

Very pleased with my tire purchase. Customer service was excellent. They came all the way to my work to fix something for me. That’s what a call great service. I would highly recommend them. They have a gained a new customer to bring all my car needs to. Thank you Brian Fisher.

This is the main mechanic I trust to take all my vehicles to. I have gotten tires repaired, purchased new tires, and done lots of general maintenance on multiple vehicles through the years (brakes, rotors, oil change, inspections, tune ups, etc). Highly recommend taking your vehicle here. I’ve always had a great experience.

I purchased 4 new Toyo AT tires here and Duane helped me out! Couldn’t be happier. The tire price was reasonable. They were thorough and didn’t try to upsell products I didn’t want or need. Go there, ask for Duane or Brian and I think you’ll be happy!

I had to get new spark plugs and coils and they did an amazing job. The customer service was outstanding and I could not recommend this place enough. 10/10.

I took my car in last Tuesday for a new battery and oil change. My low oil warning light came on Sunday while driving. Upon checking the oil it was completely EMPTY. No leaks underneath the car. Took it in first thing Monday morning, and sure enough, whomever worked on my car did not fill it back up after emptying it. No apology from the manager, and I had to ask to be reimbursed for the quart of oil I had to purchase to put in to take it back to them. Evidently they’ll “mail” me a reimbursement for the oil. Absolutely crazy that they did not double check their work. How do you “forget” to fill someone’s car with oil after you change it? I’ve been using Fred’s to service my car for years. So disappointing.

We have been using Fred’s for years and have had good service. The last time I got an oil change they told me they ran out of oil and it would be the next day before I could get my oil changed after my car sat there the whole days. Today, I dropped my car off at 8 am. At 1 pm it is not ready. Things have changed at Discount Tire. I don’t even want to call it Fred’s anymore. This is definitely not the same place.

Why? 4 hours for 2 tires and oil change. Up on lift for over an hour. Moved my vehicle to the parking lot and after 30 minutes, I had to go to the desk and ask to pay. They had no idea the work was done. Something needs to change with management.
