This store has a complete lack of supplies. I went to other locations and found the items in stock.

I came in to buy some Flonase. CVS has it locked in a cabinet. I rang the service bell and waited. No one came. I repeatedly rang the bell, no one came. I asked the tech in pharmacy and was told in so many words that wasn’t his job, that I’d have to get someone from the front to help me. I left because no one wanted to help me.

So I was just hung up on by a pharmaceutical technician when I called to ask why my son's medications were shorted. His behavior is night and day difference on and off medication, and years ago I noticed that some days he would be spacing out and others he would be restless even though he took the same pill at the same time every day. One day I saw the capsules in the light and there were different levels, so I bought a pharmaceutical grade scale (down to 0.001mg accuracy) and made sure it was calibrated, then did a quality control check on his meds. For a 15mg prescription, what was inside those capsules usually ranged from 12mg-18mg which would explain the shifts in reactions to his meds since as little as 3-5mg changed the reaction and I didn't want him overdosing especially. Normally I am one of those types that believes the best intentions unless direct evidence is brought forth, but I'm not gullible. It could be a machine glitched or a tech was still training, right? So in the past I would painstakingly make sure that all were 15mg and as a result his behavior leveled off. Problem solved. Today for his 15mg prescription I saw 10.6mg, 10.2mg, 7.6mg again and again 5-8mg less which is a big deal for his stability and the fact that we are paying for more than we're getting, which is upsetting. I called to ask what could have caused this shortage and they did say it was filled by hand by the pharmacist - not a technician, but was told a customer couldn't possibly know what they were talking about... Firstly I'm not stupid and I'm not talking anything overly complicated. It is weighing a single medication to check and make sure the numbers are the same and they're not - by a lot!! So she was rude, dismissive and hung up on me after *they* made a mistake with medication, the latter of which is a very serious deal! I will calibrate my scale *again* and if I'm wrong I will delete this review, but if I'm right I'm contacting corporate. If they are done by hand and it is this far off during a shortage, it's hard not to wonder if someone is skimming or trying to stretch medications when they should just say "we don't have enough to fill this prescription." While frustrating, I can respect that more than deception. Double check your meds, especially if you find their efficacy is variable or unpredictable. I would only give one star, but until today they have been neutral or friendly in customer service. But shorting prescriptions is a big deal and the way they handled it was wrong.

If I could give this pharmacy zero or half a star I would. They give contradicting information. They will tell you that you can call them to see if they can fill your prescription and when you call they will refuse to tell you if they can. I have also been told by a pharmacist that I am too old to take a prescription. I am pretty sure my doctor knows more than the pharmacist and I don’t appreciate being discriminated against due to age. Don’t use this pharmacy. It’s awful.

It took a CVS pharmacy nearly 10 minutes to answer the phone when I called. It was a few minutes to 9:00pm on Thursday July 13, 2023 that I called the CVS Pharmacy on Hilton Ave in Columbus Georgia. Assuming, (which is something I shouldn’t have to do) that the unpleasantness of my interaction with the CVS Pharmacy employee was probably was dude to the fact that they were getting ready close the pharmacy down for the night and was ready to leave. I assume this as a probable reason I was told my prescriptions were not called in and as to why the employee never fully arrived at a conversation with me especially since the recording informed me that the pharmacy was closed when I tried to call back hours later. Whatever the reason for adequate customer service being something that I did not receive because of my interaction with this pharmacy I did add to my ta do list to find a new pharmacy because I do not trust CVS after this experience(I thought they were 24/7)A korean accented woman answered and was not prepared for the call and did not even try to act happy to help. The overall conversation gave me with unsure thoughts about The people working at CVS pharmacies I don’t like this at all and I left the call wondering if they gave correct information to me and I do not trust CVS pharmacy to handle my prescriptions because of this after I get this prescription straightened out I’ll be finding a different pharmacy that I can trust to be professional and provide adequate communications with me to maintain that. I told her my birthday again and again and she still repeated a wrong month and day to me not even remotely close to the month I had stated and acted like she didn’t want to tell me what was there for me prescription wise or not. It pushed me off enough to write this I am so glad I don’t have to deal with them again after this she was barley in the conversation enough to get my name right the third time I said it and then after her not being able to understand English on a telephone over and over again repeating back to me things in such error she ultimately informed me that my doctor had failed to do what she said she was going to do by calling in my prescriptions I have never had a doctor not call in the prescriptions so at that point she had less ones the trust I had for cvs to handle my medicine so much that she didn’t provide the conference to me that she knew what she was talking about was trustworthy and or even cared enough for the phone call to even care to give true information. In thinking about it after it angered me more and more I had to let it go but wanted to share maybe it will be fixed

I was very disappointed with my experience today at CVS. It has been a while since I've had a booster COVID-19 vaccine and went to the Hilton Rd location today to do so. I'd read online that CVS was accepting walk-in appointments and so I came after I got off of work. At around 3:45 pm, I walked in and asked about getting a vaccine today. The woman behind the counter checked to see if they had them in stock and then confirmed that they did. After realizing that they would need to open a new vial for my dose, she walked to the back of the pharmacy to speak with another coworker. I heard them talking about how it would be wasteful to open a new vial for me since they didn't do walk-in vaccines on the weekend. After a short moment, the woman returned and repeated that it would be wasteful to give me a vaccine because they weren't sure that more people would come in after me. Unless I'm unaware of vaccine shortages, they denied me vaccination due to capital loss. I left the store very frustrated. CVS clearly does not care about the patient. I work in a clinical microbiology laboratory and we would never think about rejecting patients due to medical costs. This makes me sad because I've always had good experiences at CVS and I hope that they will make some serious changes to their priorities.

There is a night and day difference between this location and Macon Road. The people at this one are friendly, they answer the phone and they fill prescriptions In a timely manner. I transferred all of my prescriptions over from Macon Road and that was the best decision I could have made.

There are no longer ANY 24-hour pharmacies in the Columbus/Phenix City area. This is a detriment to people leaving the ER late at night or people with sporadic work schedules. On a corporate level, CVS can do so much better than this. All those reviews saying they’ve lost medication, don’t have the medication ready on time, prescription counts are off? 100% true and has happened to me MULTIPLE times. Save your time and effort. Go to the next pharmacy down the road. I have been on hold for over forty minutes trying to get an urgent medication filled. This pharmacy is a joke.

I want to congratulate Denise at the cashier station for going over and above to help assist myself and other customers. She was very nice, polite, and very patient with other customers and I. She is definitely A keep and every location needs A person like Denise. I will definitely be returning because of her good customer service. Keep up the good work Denise.
