On 7 October 2022, I took my 2000 Jeep Wrangler in for transmission service at “Advanced Transmissions” in Columbus, GA. Steven, the owner, was initially very nice too me. He made me feel like my problems were being taken care of, and earned my confidence. However, $2,910.18 later, and 2 months later, i’m driving too Virginia for school and yet again, transmission problems. I contacted Steven and I told him my issue, that I am military, and had to go to school in Virginia and afterwards move to Florida. He explains too me that he will work with me, it is under local warranty, and that he would contact me back with more information. Weeks go by. Multiple phone calls a day, even from different numbers. No answer, and when someone does answer, Steven is magically never there to resolve my issue. I’ve given them plenty of chances to right this wrong, yet now I am out nearly 3,000 dollars, and a non working vehicle. In fact, the problem is so bad, transmission fluid is burnt and gummed onto the dip stick, and does not want to go into gear.Service: Transmission

Great Service. They may not always answer the phone but that is because they are so busy fixing people's vehicles, but they are wonderful. I can't recommend them enough!!!

I called this place 25 times and no answer, all I needed was a simple inspection just to let me know what I need to do, I had no communication for 2 days..you are better off taking your vehicle to a bakery. I EVENTUALLY JUST PICKED MY CAR back up.

If I could give a zero I would. My car broke down a few hours away and I had it towed to Advanced Transmission, Steve’s shop. At first, he was extremely polite and communicative, told me that my car would be fixed within three days. Three days goes by and I don’t hear from them at all. I have to call the shop 10 more times over the next 3 days before I would eventually hear from Steve again. After two weeks, I finally got my car back.

Beware! Will charge you to fix your transmission and then you will break down a week later! I called the owner of the shop the minute my transmission started to go out on the highway. Steve advised me to drive to the next town and on my way there, my car would not even move in first gear. I was stranded. Steve did offer to tow the vehicle at his cost back to his shop. Which happened two weeks later. However, since my car has arrived at his shop, I have not heard from him again! No one calls to give you updates and you are completely screwed over. Terrible customer service. Car isn't fixed. It has been over 30 days of my car sitting at this shop and I can't get Steve on the phone to give me an update. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to get legal involved. Update: After going through the BBB for mediation, I picked my car up after 35 days without getting any notification if my car had been fixed until I called yesterday. Upon arrival, I was given my key and car but the owner refused my request for written documentation on what work had been done the second time citing it was against policy, he was physically not able, and that it shouldn't matter. When we mentioned that we would be selling the car and the new owner deserved to know what work had been done, he said "just list it 'as is.'" He did not charge me for whatever work apparently happened. I'm taking my car to another mechanic tomorrow to try and understand is my car is now in complete working order. I have had an awful experience with this shop.

In the beginning of August I towed about 7500 pounds from Utah to Columbus in a 1990 F250. About 1500 miles into the journey I realized that I had completely burned the transmission fluid, and figured that much more had gone bad inside the case. However, I decided that reporting for duty was much more important than fixing the transmission immediately; the problem could wait until Columbus. While at the time I made this decision in practicality, it turns out to have been a wonderful choice.
