Horrible experience. I rented a car to drive from Atlanta to Orlando. The car I rented had less than 15K miles on it and it broke down. I had to have it towed and Hertz left me without a rental car for 24 hours. To get a new rental, they made me go to the Orlando airport which was about forty minutes away from where I was staying. The replacement car I was given was older, had more miles, and was obviously not cleaned before I received it. They stole valuable time from my vacation and still charged me in full. It's clear this company doesn't care about its customers.

The vehicle pickup and return process was straightforwardHERTZ, being widely used, often rents out cars without any maintenance, and nobody knows the issues with the vehicles. It's risky to drive as there's no maintenance at all. Occasionally, I've used HERTZ, but I've rarely rented a car that's in normal conditionI received a car key like this

Worst car rental experience. Arrived at the Hertz ATL on a Sunday afternoon. Waited in line for about 45 minutes before i got my rental. I was told to go to the corner of the parking deck to find a car of the size I asked for. It was dark inside the parking deck I walking around and found a Toyota Corolla which rental fee was $37.12 per day for 4 days. I didn't notice there was a 2 to 3 feet long crack on the passenger side windshield not until i drive the car out of the rental center. It is dangerous to drive a car with a crack that long on the windshield but it was kind of later so I didn't go back because God knows how long I have to wait in line again. I returned the car on Thursday it was easy on that part only took minutes. Next day i checked my email for the receipt. The total charge was $490.82. Apparently the charged me all the optional services they have. The only option I agreed to was the prepaid fuel which was 40 something dollars. $139.96 for Loss Dmg War. $39.96 for Prem Road Serv which I don't even know what they are. It makes really angry because they did not explain everything to me but to assume that I agree to one thing automatically agree to everything. After I contacted Hertz it makes me even angrier. They told me that once I accept those optional services (which I did not agree) there's nothing they can do. So to those who are going to rent cars from Hertz in the future make sure you read the invoice and agreement very carefully before you sign anything. This is my first time car rental with Hertz and it definitely will also be my last time.

Very good experience. Very good car. The line seems long but actually our wait time is not long.

Car was good, but we received the car with one fuel point less and refilled it to the same level when returning. However Hertz charged $50 extra for refueling the whole tank. Upon seeing this additional cost we immediately raised a complaint, but it’s been over 5 days and we haven’t gotten a response

I am a gold member and so disappointed with my last two rentals. First off, I arrived to pick up my rental and was told; your a gold member. Go to the five star and pick any car. It was dark in the parking garage making it extremely impossible to see any damage to the car. However, before leaving the gate I noticed a hole in the floor of the car on the driver side. I reported it at the gate before leaving. My next rental I was not so lucky to spot the damage on the front grill of the car due to the parking area being so dark. I notice the damage and informed the person checking the car in when I returned. Hertz employee called and left no return contact information. SMH Tiara did call me back and I informed her that the car damage was there when I picked up the car. I told her I did not have an accident in the car and I informed the person checking the car in of the damages. Her question was did anyone check the car when you picked it up? No, the guy walked me to the car and that was that. All I was told was, I will note that! This is crazy... At this time, Hertz have not released my money back to my credit card. OH... you can forget about getting a person on the phone at this location!! I am done with this company!!!!

Hertz is good but will never rent another electric vehicle again. Almost missed my plane because of charging and finding a charging station. No wonder they took a huge loss on their eve

Avoid at all cost! They said they need a credit card instead of the debit card reservation was originally made for and charged our car twice! No one is answering from customer service, terrible service, it seems they will just keep it. Im starting to wander was this double charge intentional!

Had a terrible experience at Hertz. From the long line to get the car to having to re-make the reservation to the long line to exit the ramp. I will stick to renting on Turo from now on.

I probably write a handful of good reviews per year, but after last nights experience I think its time google incorporates a negative star rating. I made a reservation over a month ago to pick up an SUV from Hertz at ATL airport. When my family and I got there, there was a long line but figured it shouldnt take too long. We were in line for about 30 minutes without it moving, to find out Hertz were all out of cars, AND everyone in the line had reservations! They knew they didnt have any cars, and they had us waiting in line not saying anything to us. CRAZY! We eventually took and Uber which cost us over $150I mean, I understand things happen. But not even an email or notice to let us know. And then not even to inform us before burning 30minutes in the line when we could have figured out an alternative!CRAZY!

Upon arrival at the Hertz rental we arrived at 130am the hours of operation is till 2am. We are a Five star customer thus our name was on their board to which we headed to a minimal amount of electric cars remaining to which they had no keys along with cars completely not rentable being saturated by the rain in the garage. The customer service people just wanted to go home so they were not very helpful. One car remaining that had the keys along with a dry interior. We checked the entire vehicle and notated the marks indicating there was only 65% charge. Upon leaving the gates of the rental property it took nearly 55 minutes to get out with only 8 cars in front of us with two lanes open. Not ideal at 220am. Trying to understand why it took so long to exit? At one point a car remained in front of the gate for 25 minutes. Are these employees trained? What is happening here????
