Once you get to know these ladies you will find that they all are good at braiding. I am pleased with my hair at every visit. The one thing that I would tell anyone getting their hair braided be very specific upfront on anything you don't like or want to change. Examples include if the braid is tight or not sized appropriately.. If you communicate your wishes upfront you will be pleased every time.

Was in need of getting my hair braided by someone who didn't take a deposit since I got screwed by s stylist. Searched styleseat but the price wasn't right so I found this place in google that was near me. Opens at 8, open 7 days a week and takes walk ins. My kind of spot. No one had to wait long for a braider. I was started on at 8:45 after getting there around 8:30 to learn the price and going to get the cash. There are 2 banks within walking distance and restaurants as well. Place is clean and chairs are spaced out. They braid short hair because mine was 2 inches and I came out w bra length micros. I was out in about 3 hours. The lady who did mine was heavy set and starts w an M. Friendly place. Price was right with hair included. I'll be back.

I'm never disappointed and I've been patronizing for over 20 years now. My hair turns out perfect every time and they are truly one of the fastest braiders around. They've never kept me in the chair for more than 6 hours even when getting micro braids. I have nothing but great things to say about Aicha's Hair Braiding! Definitely recommend.

I've been coming to the braid shop for at least 20 years and this past Sunday was the worst experience I've ever had here. I arrived about 3pm on a Sunday afternoon and saw all the chairs were filled, but since I knew I was getting a simple style, i took a seat and prepared to wait. Upon entering the lady that spoke and inquired about what style I wanted, I showed her three pictures and each one she was, no we can't do that. We finally agreed on a style and she quoted me a price of $75. I sat patiently until about 5:00and then asked the lady how much longer it would be before someone got started on me. At this point she got snappy on me and told me that it was only one person in the entire shop that could do the style I wanted. I snapped back and told her she shoulda told me that when I first came in, especially since I shown her multiple pics. The one lady she said could do the style was about half done with someones box braids and would probably be at least two more hours before she'd be ready to start on me. This same one lady had also had a verbal confrontation with the person who's hair she was doing. I told the lady I'd spoken to when I first got there, there was no way I was waiting two more hours to get six braids put in, nor was I letting someone who was already giving poor customer service do my hair. btw the lady that was arguing with the customer name is Edna. After going back and forth with the first lady for almost ten more minutes, I text the number that is posted if youre having a bad experience. This was two days ago and I still haven't received a reply back. Finally one of the other braiders finished up with the person she was working on and summoned me to her chair. I showed her the pic of the style Id agreed upon and she says, oh I have a wedding to go to and that will take too long and I needed to select another style. Its now 6pm and after sitting for 3 hours Im being told to select a different style. I told her I wouldn't and attempted to call the number Id texted. No answer. After about five more minutes another braider finished up and said she would do my hair. She looks at the same pic Ive now showed three other braiders and says the style is $120. I told her what the original lady quoted and she says "dont listen to her she cant quote prices cause she barely speaks English" There is a sign in the shop that says free hair accessories with any style. I told the lady that was doing my hair that I wanted beads added to the ends. She says "we dont have any beads, but if you go to the beauty supply store and get them, I will put them on for an additional $20". I declined, firstly its after six and I honestly felt if I left and came back, no one would be available to do my hair. The shop closes at 6. And Im almost sure the beaity supply would be closed after 6pm on a Sunday evening. I am pleased with the end result, but quite unhappy with the service, $45 up-charge and lack of free hair accessories with any style. Will probably return if the owner ever reaches out to me but otherwise walking away from a black owned business Ive been using for over 20 years

Only giving 3 stars because I love my hair per usual BUT DO NOT LET EDNA BRAID YOUR HAIR. She is loud, slow with braiding, and her customer service is absolutely horrendous. I've been coming here for 14 years and never have I had a braider act the way she did. She stopped every few seconds, literally having the biggest argument of life in front of customers, and the list goes on. I would highly recover you guys see Aicha, Fatimah, the sisters......anybody but Edna!

I've been coming here once a year for about 10 years. I always get micro twists to the middle of my back and have never been disappointed. The longest it's taken is four hours; shortest was just over two hours. I've also had my daughter's hair done here a few times in individuals, cornrows, goddess braids, up dos, and ponytails. No matter what part of metro Atlanta I'm driving from, I'm always willing to make the drive to this salon. A few times I've gone to places closer to me but it's never as good: the braids don't come out as nice, or it takes way longer, or something else. Appointments Do not call to schedule an appointment. There's no such thing here. You'll be taken care of based on the sign in sheet. This place is always packed with a line of people waiting, and for good reason. Go on a weekday or at 7am on Sunday to beat the crowd. Kids These women are pretty heavy-handed so consider how much tension you kid's scalp might be able to handle. Your kids will not be allowed to run around or be a disruption; you will be asked to wait in your car. Your hair needs to be washed and mostly blown out. They'll blow it out a little more if necessary. Eat before you come. Your braids will be tight so take some Excedrin. Bring a snack and something to read or watch. Earphones would be a good idea even if you aren't using them because it gets loud. My ends get dipped in hot water so I bring a towel to sit against on the drive home. TI don't think there's any air conditioning so be prepared for that too. They do provide bottled water. The building is in a plaza behind a Taco Bell and a bank so you can't see it from the street. Prices Whatever they tell you over the phone is likely an estimate, so confirm when you get there before they start braiding. Pay attention when discussing the style and price; they are not trying to trick you. If you ask for micros it's $160. Then you say twists: $180. Then you ask to make them smaller: $200. Longer: $220. You now owe $50 more than what you initially requested. If the length of your real hair affects the style that may be extra. Prices include hair. The odds of them not having your color are slim, and even then there's a beauty supply store in the same plaza. They'll go get it. My micro twists are simple so having different braiders doesn't affect my style's appearance. If you're getting a style where different braiding patterns would be noticeable then tell them before starting that you only want one person to do the whole style. Yes there's hair everywhere. I've seen literally 20 braiders in here at once all working. Hair, packaging, and rubber bands are going everywhere. The same people complaining about the mess are the ones who would complain "Can't SHE do my hair?! All I've seen her do is sweep!". In addition to the hair everywhere there are also multiple spray bottles of cleaner, cans of Lysol, and huge bottles of hand sanitizer at the entrance. They may not do a full sweep but the seats are wiped in between customers. There are fewer chairs for social distancing, so you may have to wait in your car. Everyone has a mask on. If you're concerned about other customers not wearing masks, remember these are African women. They are not afraid to tell a person to go get a mask or leave. Masks are not provided. Yes they're speaking their own language. If I go to Mexico, Japan, Germany, or anywhere else in the world I'm still speaking English. Unless they're making faces at me and I feel uncomfortable, their personal conversations are none of my business. There's a small section at the back of the store where they have clothes for sale; mostly African-style dresses and head pieces. They have a single bathroom and parking shouldn't be an issue; as it's in a plaza.

I arrived at 430-ish. I pre-washed and blow dried my hair before arriving to somewhat stretch it because I have a tiny big chop fro ( 1-2.5 inches all over). Anyhow, i was in the chair by 440pm for microbraids. I was almost a quarter the way through (1 hour in), I asked about the payment method. Cash only. There's Bank of America and Wells Fargo super close. So, she stopped so that I could go to the ATM. Sophia did an excellent job on my hair! She was personable, friendly, and respectful. She has a gentle touch and quick hands when it comes to braiding. My whole, big head was done in 3.5 hours! She was the only one working in my head. So I tipped her very well. Braids are affordable here. All of the styles I saw finished while I was there were beautiful. I saw them doing traveling braids, feed in cornrows, knotless individuals, kinky twists, and tree braids. All were gorgeous. There was an older man, James, there cleaning constantly. Sweeping, mopping, wiping down the stations, wiping the whole chairs. I was impressed at that. Masks were on all clients but, 2 of the braiders masks wasn't fully covering their nose. Hand sanitizer was available. I rate this place a 3.5 because noticed no barbacide sanitizer to clean combs, clips, shears, etc at their stations. I witnessed a comb fall on the floor and the lady picked it up and continued working. Sanitation violations per Cosmetology board. Also, between clients they should be hand washing. So, if you choose this place, bring your own combs (at least 2), clips, and braid cream/gel this will prevent cross-contamination.

She stated she was doing hair out her house due to COVID-19. I went to her house she did a really bad job my hair in back was not tucked in braids, my sides are pulling and the ends where not done right. This is not a professional hair braided all she wanted was the money, Now it’s inconvenient for me to go pay somebody else to do my hair this weekend?♀️?♀️#Sopissed.....

I arrived and was asked to sit in a chair by one of the employees who was getting her hair braided by another employee. I sat for 10 minutes before I asked if I should reschedule. I was to "no" someone would be right with me. My request was medium box braids. The girl who started my hair gave me large box braids and I could tell by the amount of hair bring sectioned. After confronting her she took it down and started over. Another person came to assist, who in my opinion was much better than the first girl. With that being said I have 2 different types of braiding in my hair. This place is filthy. The staff spoke loudly in their language the entire time. The only good thing was they braided my hair in 3 hours, but this was the most unprofessional environment I've ever experienced.
