I would give them zero stars if I could since we never got a car. Reserved a car months in advance for Christmas Day. Went to the desk to be told they had no cars available and it would be a 5-6 hour wait. Who wants to be stuck there waiting 5-6 hours for a car (especially on Christmas). And in our case we were dropping my fiancé's kids off to their mom and then turning around and flying right back home (that's a whole other story). We did not have 5-6 hours. Lady working the desk was no help and didn't seem to care. There were only 3 of us in line and we were all stuck. Luckily I didn't prepay (people in front of us had to get a refund). Went next door to Budget and they were excellent. Not planning on using Dollar ever again.

I arrived on Sunday 11/25 around 11p. I walked up to the counter, no wait, the two ladies at the desk were welcoming. My information was scanned, and I was on my way in less than 5 minutes. I told the lady that I wasn't expecting a good experience based on the reviews.I walked to the garage and was greeted by another friendly employee who showed me the available vehicles. There were 3 rows of cars for me to choose from. The lady followed me around and made sure I was good before leaving. She was a bit too friendly, but it beats rude employees who act like customers are a burden.Dollar & Thrifty is where Hertz sends their "scratch & dents." So it was no surprise that the car I received had a ding. I was staying local, so an older high mileage car wasn't too much of an issue. It was still a good deal for $20 a day.

Same story as many here. Paid reservation. 10:00 pm arrival. 90 minute wait in very long line only to hear”oops. Sorry. No cars. Try again tomorrow”. No apology or compensation for the hotel room we were forced to get, the time missed with family after spending literally thousands to fly to Atlanta. No real customer service. Local office says call corporate. Corporate says call local office. Given the pattern it seems to be seems like the Atlanta airport should cancel their license.

Trash. Poor customer service. No cars available after reserving weeks ago. I am an understanding guy and can get past no cars available, but the poor customer service to top it off is too much. These people were so rude. Never ever ever again.

I have 2 serious problems with Dollar. First of all, their agents at the Boston airport overcharged me. I told him that I did not want LDW or premium roadside service (I have credit card and AAA to cover these) but he charged me anyway. When I questioned him about it, he said that they have a $700 hold on credit cards and my rental was paid for. Imagine my fury when I got home and reconciled my credit card statement. I sent an email to their "customer service" (such that it is) with this issue. They sent me a form letter telling me that I signed for the service and since I "enjoyed the benefit" that I was not entitled to a refund. Here is where this situation goes from bad to worse: they sent me another email (same exact email) but this time, they attached the rental agreement from someone else! I caution everyone to watch out for #budgetrental (I guess they're #Hertz now). They are liars, thieves, and are not protecting our information at all. They have not responded to my emails yet. I'm blowing up their social media posts and will NOT let this go. They owe me $500 and they need to tell me what they are going to do to protect my information.

We reserved a car weeks in advance for a trip to Atlanta. Wewere to pick the car up at the Dollar Car Rental facility at theAtlanta Airport on November 10, 2023 and return it onNovember 12, 2023. When we arrived at the rental companythere were over 50 people in line. We waited in line for ahalf hour before a representative from Dollar came out andmade the announcement that there were no cars. Dollarstranded over 50 people without a solution orcompensation. If I could give negative starts I would. This company is trash.

The chances you'll actually drive off with a car are slim. The chances of getting the car you reserved at the time you reserved it is basically 0%. You definitely will have a 4 - 5 hour wait time and maybe told they completely ran out of cars while you're in line. Clearly, Dollar Rental don't care about their customers at all. At least the ladies at the counter had decent to nice attitude. If you have things to do, don't rent from here.

Don’t book with Dollar or Thrifty. I’ve been here since 10:30 am. It’s now 3:00pm and I still have no car. Waited in line for 2hrs until a customer service representative was able to assist me and take my form of payment. After taking my payment they mention it would be an additional 5 hours before you would receive a car! Why take people’s hard earned money for you to not have vehicles on hand. Horrible system, and company. I don’t see myself booking in the future and neither should you.

Do not rent from Dollar Car Rental at the Atlanta airport. We booked a couple months in advance through Expedia. We prepaid and were confirmed for a rental car. When I arrived at Dollar after my flight (which arrived at 12:30 AM), Dollar said they had no more cars left.After phone calls and cancellations, I had to find another rental company at 2:00 in the morning! To make matters worse, Dollar did not want to give us a full refund, even though it was their fault when they failed to honor our prepaid reservation.I think this is a racket. Another rental car company said that Dollar always sends people to their car company because Dollar runs out of cars.Total scam. Rent through someone else.And thanks, Budget, for helping me at 2:00 AM. You were a lifesaver!

It does not even deserve a single star!! This is the actual worst car rental place we have ever done business with. Reserved a car weeks ago, showed up at the rental place after our flight (along with many other people) who have been told there are no cars available at all and if they did get cars (big if) we will be waiting six hours for it. Tried walking down to Hertz, National, Budget, Enterprise, etc and it was the same story. No car...if we did get one today it would be a six hour wait. Evidently this has been happening here for the past several months and no one is fixing the problem of over reserving cars. Mind blowing how inefficient this system is.

If I could give no stars I would. Been waiting 3 hours for a car I reserved months ago and paid in full with no end in sight. There is zero customer service, no one cares. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! Multiple people have said this happens all the time.

BELIEVE THE COUNTLESS NEGATIVE REVIEWS AND RENT ELSEWHERE. CHOOSING DOLLAR WILL COST YOU TIME AND MONEYI genuinely do not write reviews and absolutely would not want to write a negative review, but I would be remiss if I did not discourage people from renting a car from Dollar. After waiting in line for over one hour I learned that the premium car that I reserved and paid for over one month ago would not be available and that no car would be for upwards of 3 hours. Unable to wait that long, due to pre-arranged commitments, I inquired about other options, at which point I was made aware of cars available at Hertz (an affiliate of Dollar) that would require me to pay an upgrade fee. Several reviewers have described this experience. It feels like a bait-and-switch tactic.It is shocking to me that Dollar wouldn't satisfy customers by offering these cars, of which there were dozens, but instead would rather them wait extended periods of time. From the looks of it, this has been giong on for months without any action from management. This is not a company or brand that values its customers. I can assure you that any savings you might experience will quickly cost you either in time or otherwise.

1 only because no stars wasn't an option.Had a car booked for weeks only to fly to Atlanta and be told they have none available. To make matters worse I was told by some smiling kid who couldn't possibly have cared less. RUN DONT WALK

BEWARE! I don't usually leave reviews, but do NOT waste your time with this company. My son's team had a tournament in ATL.When we showed up to pick up our rental at 10:40pm the line was extremely long, so we patiently waited for about 1 hour. Then one of the employees announced for everyone in line that they had no vehicles. They were trying to have vehicles transported to the airport and it was a minimum of 3 hour wait. We were about to leave when we decided to go upstairs to see if we could rent a car from any other company without a reservation. We ended up finding a car with AVIS for double the price. We were told that they have been doing it for at least the past 7 months, prices are super low but hours of wait, IF you even get a car. Other players from the team ended up waiting for over 3 hours.

Do not use them! 2h in line with over a hundred people behind us they announced that it will be at least another 3h before we get our reserved rental.Building is packed.Person at the counter charged our card for accident insurance even though we declined. She said it's airport taxes... receipt which we got 30min later shows otherwise.. I'll be declining that with my credit card.
