I was told by another shop that my Engine was seized and I needed a new motor. Decided a second opinion was a good idea and had my car towed to Mason. I explained the entire situation over the phone and told Matt my car was heading that way. Chris called me a few hours later and said “you can come get your car now”.
Not only did he figure out what was wrong, he fixed it and all I owed was the 1 hour of labor it took him. 129.00. Y’all this man saved me from a 4500.00 engine quote.
I needed brakes as well and I thought a gasket was leaking so I came back a week later so they could work on those as well. I paid 387.00 and got new rotors, ceramic breaks and all of my external gaskets changed out!!! Not to mention his precious doggo Chevelle kept me company while I waited. I will never take my car to anyone but Mason Motorworks. Chris doesn’t tell you what the issue is, he shows you. He explains the how and why. You get your cost upfront. It’s not a surprise later. Highly recommend and I would give 10 stars if I could.

Glad that I took our car to Mason Motorworks. We’ve been using a different mechanic for a few years and every year had to take our cars back for the same issues. This week instead we took it to Chris and his team and they found the underlying issue (water pump) for why our car keeps overheating. We were all surprised this was missed for years by our other mechanic.
Also really appreciate Chris’s passion and his depth of knowledge, he walked us through everything step by step and what his team found and why it was responsible for the overheating.
The way he talks about cars and the underlying mechanics of the engine gave me complete confidence that he is the type of person who wont stop until he solves the root problem. That’s how you know he and his team are amazing. We are glad to have found them!

First off, I want to start by saying that Chris and Josh at Mason Motor Works are nice guys and they’ve done a great job on my vehicles in the past.
But for my most recent repair… I went in for a complete brake line and ABS module job on my 2000 Silverado 1500, and it was not an enjoyable experience. I wanted to stay positive during the whole process but unfortunately due to recent discoveries I cannot anymore. The repair took roughly 6-7 weeks and when I got my truck back I had to return it because it was still leaking brake fluid. Once I got it back a couple days later, two of my lug nuts on my wheels fell off (from when they removed them) and I had to go buy new lug nuts and then retighten the rest of them on one of my wheels... But ultimately what upset me the most was the fact that since I have taken my truck in for the brake repair, I have had a loud, bad pop noise when I turn my truck and an awful rattling noise at high speed… I’ve spent weeks trying to figure out the issue and today i discovered that the one of the metal brake lines that they installed were scraping against the steering column shaft so I had to reroute the line.
Overall, I wish there was more attention to detail on this repair. I am a college student and it cost me a lot of money for this. I don’t have a lot of disposable income. I’ve really enjoyed my experience with mason motors works in the past… so obviously they were my first choice. But after this experience, I don’t know if I would be able to return to this shop.

Great customer service and super friendly and reasonably priced. Won't nickel and dime you and won't take advantage. He even met me on his day off to check my car out for me before I left for a trip because I have extreme anxiety. Best mechanic around.

Called at lunchtime about getting my air conditioning compressor replaced. They immediately found the parts needed and I took my car in that afternoon. It was ready in 1 1/2 hours as promised and my A/C works great. $800 less than the dealer.

What a great experience! Chris and his team put my favorite vehicle back on the road. I bought this Suburban brand new in 1996, happens to be a 2500 that is no longer made. Mason put this back together and is as should be! Thanks team Mason and look forward to seeing you soon! Quick, responsive and VERY complete process with a GREAT attention to detail! Just what you would look for in an experienced team and Chris's leadership!
