I can't thank Joe and Ginger enough for the rebuilt Tiptronic transmission I purchased from Cogs Cogs in the spring. My 2000 Porsche Boxster has never run better than it did this past summer. I was shopping for a replacement tranny after mine seized up (at 120K miles). Every local Porsche shop I spoke with in Massachusetts tried to sell me on simply buying another used transmission and having that installed. Joe recommended the remanufactured unit and for not much more money than I would have paid for a used one in MA. I was able to break that transmission in to the way I drive instead of worrying about how the previous owner(s) had treated it. Joe knows what he's talking about.

I bought a Porsche 944S engine took him over three months to get it shipped to me, Engine was supposed to be gone through everything. I received the engine with used water pump and the engine does not turn over it binds up something internally is wrong so now I have to tear it completely apart. Every time I reached out for an update, there was always an excuse. it takes half a day what was done to this engine that took him 3 1/2 months and it wasn’t even done right. Over $2000 wasted and a project pushed back months and months..

Save your time. For 49 years their practice has been to keep items “in stock” for online orders even if they don’t hold any in stock. It shocked me whoever I spoke too said very proudly “we’ve been doing that for 49 years and it hasn’t been a problem”. Well sir as times change we must adapt. Adaptation means being honest this time around. So the next 49 years can properly reflect inventory. 4 days and I had to call them to find out why my product wasn’t moving. Apparently it wasn’t in stock and no one ever ask for it so they leave it in stock online. They confirmed it would take an additional 3 days for the part to get to them for them to ship it out. I could’ve just ordered my part from Pelican Parts and had it already. Thanks for pushing my project back. For potential customers, Just go somewhere else. This place needs to update their way of handling online business.

My '77 911S had locked its transmission into gear and could't be moved. While Joe and Ginger do not routinely pickup cars, they made an exception and with their covered trailer ferried the car to their shop. Joe and team resuscitated the 200K+ mile transmission with new and low mileage parts. Result was shifting quality, I had never known in 20 years. Very grateful for CC team effort and friendly service Will be back with the 914-6.

I bought a transmission from Joe at cogs cogs. It leaked in 3 places. I disputed it on my credit card because Joe would not cover the cost of the mechanic to take it back out, ship it to him, ship it back, and reinstall. But he would fix it. The credit card company would not back me up on the expenses as well. Not only did Joe screw me, you have no way to cover the costs when he sends you a defective part. STAY AWAY! From Joe and Cogs Cogs.

Cogs Cogs is totally amazing!!Joe is the best and knows Porsche like no one I have been around.You can trust he will do what he says and delivers excellent quality.Joe and team rebuilt my 1979 911 Targa and it drives like new, well worth the price paid. He has also done some additional work to include a mystery stalling. Again after he worked his magic no stalling; I spoke to several Porsche 'experts' concerning this long lasting issue and nothing worked. Joe fixed the problem and has not reoccurred. I highly recommend Joe and his team for both his specialty, transmissions and for anything Porsche related. A pleasure to do business with he and his wife, Ginger. If you are dropping off a car ask for a lunch recommendation in town, a real small town treat!

Thank you Joe for preparing such a good 5 speed transmission form my 1960 Porsche 356, thanks to this transmission we were able to shave off about 14 minutes from our last year's time at Chihuahua Express!!! Our next test is La Panamericana 2016 and I am so looking forward to competing in this extremely demanding rally knowing I have Cogs Cogs prepared inner gears helping me every mile of the way!
