Took a saw by because it ran backwards. Was first told it might not be covered by warranty. 4 days later got a call and they had a brand new one for me. Very pleased with their customer service. Honest and went the extra mile. Very pleasant to do business with folks like them.

Not for Dewalt woodworking equipment.Had a routers variable speed magnet break in May of 2021. Called Dewalt and was referred to Amrine equipment as the closest licensed Dewalt repair shop. Called Amrine and was told it would take 2 weeks to repair the router.Drove the router over 3 days later and was told it would take them 4 weeks to repair. Asked why I was told 2 weeks on the phone and now 4 weeks in person. Was informed that the mechanic I spoke to always underestimates the repair time required. While dropping off the router I also provided the spare part number and had them order it immediately so there would be no further delays to the repair.5 weeks later and I had not heard anything from Amrine. Called and asked for an update on the status of the repair. I was told it would be another 6 weeks before they could get it done. Again asked why the timeline keeps changing (2 weeks, then 4, and now 11 weeks). Was told by the manager that they are short staffed and have no one to work on the jobs they have.11 weeks after dropping the router off I called again and asked for an update. Told they had not even started on the job and needed to order the replacement part. Informed them that I had given them the part number when I dropped it off and they ordered it then. Was informed that they couldn’t find the part they ordered and had to order it again. At this point I called Dewalt. I explained the situation and the lack of communication. Dewalt asked that I cancel the work order and go pick up the router. They also agreed to send me a new replacement router motor for the trouble.Called Amrine immediately and asked that they stop the work order and that I would be by to pick up the router in 4 days. The mechanic informed me they would still try to get it done.Drove to Amrine and somehow they had the repair done in the 4 days after cancelling the work order. At this point it is now the last week of August (12 weeks). Even with the exceedingly long time to repair I paid full price for the repairs.Took the router home and installed it in my router table in order to test the repair. After 15 minutes of low strain work I could smell melting plastic. Immediately stopped the router and tried to remove the cover to inspect. I was unable to remove the cover as it melted to the motor.Called Amrine to discuss how the repair may have fixed the variable speed but now the motor is overheating. Told by the mechanic that he did the work perfectly and I could bring it back for them to work on further.Took to a local electric motor company. They reviewed in under 24 hours and informed me that the motor windings were damaged. No charge for the diagnostic and a free quote to repair. Unfortunately the cost to repair was more than the router costs new.I would not recommend Amrine for Dewalt repairs if you value your tools or your time.Thankfully Dewalt stands behind their product and made good on the situation.
