Man, I wish I had bought something here and I regret it. Excellent artistry in their pottery. The building is really neat, as it’s an old mill, and you can feed the trout off the back deck overhanging the river. Thanks to the unnamed local who bought the fish food for us to feed the amazing trout with.

So glad our airbnb host recommended this spot to us! Absolutely beautiful pottery from local artists and a great view of a waterfall as well. Very nice staff and reasonably priced. Truly a hidden gem I’m glad we were able to see!

Super friendly service. A really unique piece of North Georgia history preserved and turned into a place to find local artist pottery. The art you will find is high quality and beautiful designs! The best is the workshops available on the weekends by the artists whose work is displayed and fills the shop. Not to mention the breathtaking view of the river!

Very interesting place. Everyone should visit at least once. Well, maybe not children nor extremely clumsy people, but everyone else.

I’ve visited with family and friends since the early 80’s.Seeing it today I’m still delighted with the historical commitment and the plans for future appropriate expansion (to include student potters, reviving the estate buildings and above all preserving the Soque River). Thankyou to the gentleman host who shared the historical highlights with me today. The pottery is exceptional and the venue is a treasure!! It is a touchstone for my family I recommend you visit.

Much more than we bargained for. The pottery was amazing, but a little more than I wanted to spend. We didn't know that the place used to be a grist mill and evidence is well preserved. Very cool! And the fish in the river were huge! Made me want to take up fishing. Although it's not allowed so don't get your hopes up. Definitely worth a stop.

Stopped by and enjoyed the MANY different pieces made from various artists and talking with the staff. Also enjoyed watching the trout below the deck overlooking the river. Great place to stop!

Mark of the Potter not only offers pottery classes, they now have a bed and breakfast, see photos of their new addition. Every time I visit, the pottery and its surroundings are gorgeous.

The history here was great to see. The wood burning stove was my favorite next to the creek which you can see very nicely from the outdoor patio with several rocking chairs for a relaxing time. Of course the pottery was interesting to see too. We went just before Christmas so there were lots of ornaments available and cool items like a garlic baker, who knew there was such a thing. It came with instructions and all! There are also some picnic tables outside if you happen to be like the smart biker we saw who brought a bit of lunch to eat to the sound of the creek ?

An old mill turned into a gift shop for hand made pottery. Buy some fish food and feed the gigantic trout in the stream.
