My husband had an eye exam w/an optometrist, then asked for the prescription in order to shop for frames & lenses @ other optical stores. He found frames he liked at another store & ordered eyeglasses & sunglasses to be made from the prescription.
After wearing the glasses for a few hours, he had difficulty seeing distances clearly with the new lenses made from the new prescription. The optical store insisted the lenses were made correctly, & he should return to the optometrist to make sure the prescription was correct. An optician at the original store said that the lenses did NOT match the prescription. What a conundrum! Who is right? Certainly trust in these two businesses declined after these encounters.
He decided to seek help from a third impartial optical store, Stanton Optical, where he met Patricia. Though she had only worked there for a month, her friendly, honest manner put him at ease. She examined the prescription & lenses, confirming that the lenses did NOT match the prescription. She recommended he take the extra measure of returning to the optometrist to have another eye exam.
Patricia spent lots of time with him, answering all questions patiently, never rushing her advice. It was a pleasant experience from a very professional employee, certainly one of a kind customer service. Thank you so much, Patricia.
