“I have been volunteering here since Aug '22. This is an amazing group of unpaid volunteers doing all they can with limited resources for the animals in their care. Regarding adoption fees: These fees often barely scrape the surface of vet costs incurred by the shelter for spay/neuter, vaccinations, surgeries/other emergency treatment needed, etc. Regarding adoption requirements: Proper vetting of applicants is in the best interest of the furbabies, to ensure adoptions are a good fit and to prevent returns to the shelter. I'd encourage those bashing the shelter with one star reviews to actually come spend a few hours volunteering with us to see for themselves how hard everyone is working to help these animals get the best life possible.”
