For the first time in a long time I went in and didn't see dogs running around. I saw workers working and everwas friendly and asked if I needed help as I was looking for a certain product in the store.

It's WalMart. Prices are cheapest around mostly, But be ready to fight your way through the aisles. People refuse to shop like we drive, stay on your right unless passing and everyone moves smoother. Aside from narrow aisles Love the place!

Walmart needs to get rid of the self checkout and put back the live cashier check outs. They also need to have live cashiers available in the morning and at night and not only have the self checkout as the only option for customers. I don't shop at certain grocery stores because that is how they operate and Walmart is about to be added to that list. Ingles is the only store I know of that has live cashiers all the time and I truly enjoy shopping in their store.

I mean how can I not rate it five stars when I'm here almost literally at least once a week?
First I wanna shout out the ladies at the pharmacy here (not sure if any fellas work the pharmacy here since I've never seen any, but if there are, y'all get a shout out too, it takes everyone behind that counter to make it happen!) Just recently needed a pharmacy for the first time in my life and decided to go with this Walmart since I'm here all the time anyways, and the ladies were SO helpful and patient with me from my very first visit and every time since. I didn't even need to ask about the GoodRX discount (I don't have insurance) they went ahead and applied it and saved me a bunch of money on several of my rxs and casually told me as they rang me up after saving me a bunch of money, meanwhile I'm like omg thank you!
They also gave me good advice on what to bring up with my doctor, including alternatives to suggest, when I was initially rxed an absurdly expensive blood thinner that would've cost me over $700 for a three-month supply; the hospital wanted me on blood thinners for a total of six months, so you can imagine how badly I was panicking. But their (once again proactive!) help and advice was deeply appreciated and helped me get switched to a more affordable med!
And when I have to pick up new meds they always make sure I understand everything I need to know bc my doctors aren't always great about giving me that info, or even telling me they're sending in a script for me at all lol... The poor folks here have even had to call me up once to let me know they'd had some refills ready for me for a few days since my doc hadn't said anything to me about it (I wasn't even thinking about it bc I wasn't super close to running out yet.) And more recently my urologist sent in a script for a round of antibiotics without telling me; she had told me bacteria had been detected in my sample, despite me not having UTI symptoms, so despite the delayed timing the script wasn't unexpected, but like... maybe doctors should at least call patients and give us a heads up and discuss important information about the meds they rx? Like how with antibiotics it's super important to take them exactly as directed so we don't contribute to worsening the very serious AB resistance problem?
Thankfully though, the wonderful pharmacist on-duty that day who helped me was there to make sure I got that info and any additional instructions I needed for how to take my meds. I didn't get her name but if she reads this, THANK YOU! Your comprehensive knowledge and proactive involvement in patient care comes in clutch for patients in situations like mine, and we appreciate you!
Anyways, point is, the pharmacy staff here go out of their way to help us patients even when our doctors drop the ball (bet that's more common than I would like to believe...) so they definitely have earned my respect and appreciation. I wouldn't have even known about things like the GoodRX discount but they really seem to care about their patients and go out of their way to help us any way they can.
As for the rest of the store, it's almost always a pleasant experience to shop here, and on the rare occasions it's not it's almost always other customers. Note that they recently have started stationing staff near the exits to check receipts. Please don't be rude to them for doing what they're told. While it's your right not to show your receipt, just politely decline and move on.
No one should ever use "I have nothing to hide" as an excuse to justify invasive overstepping, but that's only important when it comes to government overstepping. And I feel perfectly comfortable saying that I gladly hand my receipt, because I never steal, and I want to make their job easier and their day a little better if I can. If having y
