Was given a pre-approval for up to 40k personal loan, after I was pre-approved for that I went ahead and actually applied for 25k & was denied. The guy I was speaking with immediately stopped responding to emails and messages. Very unprofessional and actually made me very mad. On top of that why you preapproving me for almost double my request then denying my request? Get it together.

Not recommended if you need a HELOC or easy wiring abilities. They impose an overly complicated and restrictive process to access our funds. They require in person wires with no online option even for business accounts and their phone wire ability requires you jump through hoop after hoop to access your funds and we just gave up and went with another bank we use. The other banks have the technology and freedom that this bank lacks and doesn’t offer.

I have been with Georgia United credit Union for 23 years and this is the best bank I have ever used. Under the leadership of Jessica Landin, her superb team have great customer service, and very knowledgeable about all finances. Thank you very much.

I not only bank at GUCU but I also worked there and this was a GREAT company to bank with and work with , they really know how to take great care of their members. I've noticed that the bad reviews here are all the older folks that banked there when this was Etowah Valley, because I worked there I can say these people think its still the 1900s and that you can just cash anyone's check or deposit anyone's check in their account and unfortunately because there is so much bank fraud now things have modernized and changed, that is not something you can do anymore. DO NOT listen to the bad reviews GUCU is a great company to bank at! The Branch Manger Jessica is the friendliest person I've ever met and you can tell she treats her team right because they are all so great !!!

I banked with this company for many years before Georgia United acquired them when they were Etowah Valley Credit Union. After GUCU bought it, I still did business for years with them. All together, over 30-35 years. When my roommate got sick and passed away, they locked down all of the money that we had in the bank because she had a loan that still had a balance and a credit card that we had been getting her supplies with. We had never been late on a payment for either of those accounts. I had to pay off the balance on the loan that was insured, by the way and pay off the credit card before they would release any of our funds. They were going to let me know if that insurance paid the loan and return that money that I had to pay on it. I left one account open so they would have somewhere to put my refund and call me. They never called. I called them multiple times with no reply. Now, over a year + later, I receive a statement with money back in that account. How much has been taken since the money was put back because I couldn't get any information on it. When my friend passed it was like I was nobody and nothing else mattered. 35 years a customer for no understanding or respect. No thank you.

I have been banking with Georgia United Credit Union for years . I love them , their staff is a huge help . Always taking the time to help me with any questions I have no matter how small or big , the head teller Melissa , always greets me with a smile and happiness . She is alway helping my 2 kids out with their account my parents , and is just a breath of fresh air when she is on the job I know I’m good !!!! Along with the rest of the staff , Makes u feel welcomed when u walk in . other banking establishments I have used in the past can make u feel like you are just a number . But here At GUCU they treat u more like family !!!!!No complaints here . I will forever be GUCU LOYAL !!!!!!!

This branch is absolutely the most personable, real, hometown business (and isn't that what we all really still want?). Others say they care. But I can tell you through years of experiencesvin my life and my banking this is tried and trust of these people. Jessica, Sam, and Hannah are the very best at what they do. Way above and beyond there responsibility. They take care of you and your money. Your best interest is truly at the forefront of there daily business.

This business does not even deserve one star. Poor communication and work ethic does not even begin to touch how terrible our experience has been with this company. Whatever you do, do NOT choose Georgia United unless you want a headache for MONTHS after your purchase. The lower interest rate is NOT worth it. Please choose someone who values your business and handles it in a professional manner.

This review is specific to the Cartersville branch. The branch manager who helped me with an issue I was having (that was my own fault) was extremely friendly and assisted me in getting things on track. She came out of her office with a smile and was able to help. Thank you again.

My purse was stolen and my debit card was fraudulently used at Walmart. I went to GUCU and they were quick to provide a new card and my money was returned to my account by the end of the same day. Another financial institution I use took 10 days to completely return the money stolen. The staff at the credit union were very helpful and understanding through the entire process!!

Let me just start out by saying ***BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE*** I have ever received !! Jessica (branch manager) was extremely helpful in getting me the best auto loan for my dream truck. They have the best rates I have seen for auto loans right now (rates have skyrocketed). Jessica took care of everything and ensured I got the best loan I could and made the process fast and easy. All I had to do was sign! Great customer service and I look forward to being a member at the GA united Cartersville branch.

Where do I start...So, I sold a car to a fellow who banks here. We worked out & agreed on a price. He went though the loan process, which he was told would be a couple days to set up. A week later my man is told that the loan is ready & he and I should come by the branch & bring the title with us. He is told this on Friday at 4pm. I leave work, grab the title & we get to the bank by 4:45pm. They make me sign over the title & We sit & wait till 5:30pm., when we're told its too late in the day to cut me a check. They tell us to come back on Monday. I then ask for my title back & I get the "Eye Roll", & they ask me why. I eventually get my title back & away we go.Monday we meet at the back at the branch when they opened at 8:30am.So, it's now 12Noon. The approved loan is still "Hung Up" in the system. We find out that the loan officer, "Felicia" is still "In the System" making some adjustments...** On a side note, the water fountains are broken, which I get. When I inquire about a bottle of cup of water they tell me that they don't have any..**Why is there such a "Lack of Leadership" here? Does this branch represent this entire company? What is it that they do here well??Am I missing something?

Came to this branch yesterday; spoke to the manager about opening an account. I had such great experience, super helpful and informative. I will definitely be joining the credit union when I become permanent resident of Georgia.
