I went in to buy a gun last week, and Donnie was the best! He let me look at a few different guns, explaining each one to me, as well some information on Conceal & Carry... great guy! Bought my gun and some ammo... great experience!

They are price gauging in regards to electronics. A 11.7 inch screen laptop, at least five years old, running on windows 7 is not worth 125.00. Due to covid19, and the sudden laptop sales, they believe they can sell a 45.00 computer for 125% it's worth. Let it be known they undoubtedly purchased it for 25 dollars or less. Further, the charger was meant to be 3-pronged and was missing the center prong. The CPU was so slow that I needed to wait two minutes for the TASK BAR to respond. The messed up part is he may actually sell it to someone who doesn't know better. I assure you, if you go to walmart, you can buy a brand new P.C. of the same size for 150.00 dollars. Do not allow these places to RIP you off. If they're unwilling to negotiate prices and show such greed then take your business elsewhere. FYI Windows 7 Operation system is no longer supported by windows as of January of this year. That means he is making you pay 125.00 to have your personal information stolen within a week. With no updates any holes in the operating system will be exploited by viruses.Buck Creek Pawn, do not assume everyone that comes into your store is computer illiterate. I build desktops, I know an overused CPU when I see it, and a factory restore would be necessary to even hope the P.C. would be responsive.

Brand New at Walmart - Acer 15.6" Laptop Intel Celeron 1.60 GHz 2 GB Ram 16GB SSD Chrome OS | Manufacturer RefurbishedAcerModel: CB3-532-C3F7Walmart # 568487623Average rating:3.5out of5stars, based on10reviews10 reviews$129.99$129.99And yet they sale a 7 year old, much smaller, laptop for 125.00 dollars. If that isn't greedy business practice, I'm not sure what is. Suffice to say, either they're purposefully dishonest or they have no idea what the worth of an electronic is and assume, because people are buying their laptops, they can sale them ALL at 125.00 "Is the sticker price negotiable?" "We'll sale it for 125.00 That's how much the others all went for."That's now how computers work. You sale weapons based off of their worth, the same goes for a computer. You sale it based off of it's worth. PC's are NOT all made the same, and they age far quicker than a gun. Ignorance isn't an excuse to rip someone off, however, and my rating stands. Do not buy electronics from them.

I've been looking for an affordable, used, laptop for the purposes of writing. I went to Buck Creek Pawn, as I've shopped from them before for Guns and ammo, and saw that they had a single laptop left. The owner, or at least the person working the counter, must not have much knowledge of computers. That, or he is practicing extremely shady business practices and is overcharging with knowledge. The laptop was old, at least five years in age, and operated on Windows 7 (A now obsolete operating system. Windows no longer supports updates for the OS.) and I found that the charger was broken. It was meant to be a three pronged inlet, however the middle prong was missing and sent out a spark when plugged into the outlet. I turned the laptop on to test the machine and found it extremely slow and unresponsive. I brought up "Task Manager" and found that it took nearly three minutes for the diagnostic tool to actually respond. From there, I looked through the various functions and found few programs that should be interfering with the speed of the CPU. This tells me that the hardware, rather than the software, is the cause for the slow response speeds. With a desktop, that type of fix is easy and relatively inexpensive. A laptop is a bit more difficult to fix. Again, this is fine. They buy used P.C.'s and it did turn on and operate, if slow. However, the owner stated he would not sell the P.C. for less than 125.00 dollars. He stated that he had sold every laptop in the store for the same price and did not seem to understand the difference in hardware, software, and worth. A similar P.C., Brand new, can be bought at Walmart for 150.00 with a Windows 10 operating system, box, and charger. A used P.C., of similar specs, can be bought for 50 dollars online. The fact that he had bought this P.C. for less then 25.00 dollars shows a desire to make over 200% profit with absolutely no desire to negotiate because he believes that the current pandemic will allow him to sale the P.C. for whatever he says. This is the literal definition of Price Gauging. I would also be careful in buying weapons from this pawn shop. I bought a Glock 19 in 2017 from this company and recieved a call from them about a month later asking that I return the weapon. It had been stolen from a retired Georgia State Patrol officer. They did give me another, lower quality, weapon as a trade. I'm not certain they didn't rip me off, even after giving me a bit of cash to make-up for the price, after seeing how they handled the sell of an obsolete computer. Be wary of buying from them and do your research before you pay. There are other pawnshops in the area, remind them of that, and let the free market do its thing.
