I have always been pleased with this Credit Union until recently. After my surgery I signed up for the Bill pay thinking I was going to need to use it to pay one of my bills since I don't have checks with ACU. Turns out I didn't use it and never have. I noticed for the last 3 months that ACU has charged me $5.00 for bill pay fee. I called to inquire as to why the charges?I was told that since I didn't use the service I am charged. If I use the service its free and they gave me 3 months free. What?? This policy sounds backward to me.I had them deactivate the bill pay services. I have never experienced this with a bank. Shame on me for not researching the information about the bill pay services. The bill pay service at my previous financial institution was always free no matter if you used it or not. ACU you will lose customers practicing this kind of business.

Have been a satisfied customer for over 20 years. Customer service is exceptional and I have not encountered any issues. I highly recommend banking with ACU

Switching accounts today... card gets locked every time i use it... If you want better banking I suggest capital one 360 or Amaris bank

Depressing place. Staff has never smiled any time I go in. They ask you how your doing without even looking at you . They seem like they don’t even want to be there . Not a pleasant or positive visit anytime I go.

Opened new account staff was very friendly and accommodating the process was quick no long periods of waiting very nice credit union compaired to others I visited before coming here.Would highly recommend them for all your banking needs

This bank will always charge 30$ for overdraft fees. If you turn off overdraft, they will STILL charge you but not let the transaction go through. They 1st told me I could undo overdraft charges 4 times per quarter, and then I was told 3x per quarter, and now was just told 3x per year. I don't approve of these money hungry tactics.

My husband and I opened a shared account months ago thinking it would be beneficial to have a credit union. This bank is HORRIBLE! We have to call in weekly to unlock my husband’s card. The representatives that answer say they cannot help that we have to wait for normal business hours to call in. When we get upset and not so nice, they then change the story to there is no lock on our account. They put a maximum daily spending limit on our account. They can’t give us a reason as to why our cards consistently get locked. We also only are allowed ONE online account. Meaning that when my husband created it, I can’t login without a secure code from his phone, even though it is a SHARED account.

This financial institute bank put a limit on the amount of money that you can spend per day. They only allow you to spend $15 00 A-day if you want to spend more you have to call them and ask mommy and daddy to raised your lim mindfor 24 hours betwee 8am and 5 pm. They treat you as if you are a teenager that needs a bigger allowance. Daddy can you gave me some more money please. No wait tell tomorrow. If they are going limit your founds at least have away to raise the limits after hrs.

Have used this bank for a few years, but over the past year it has went downhill fast. Several instances of the bank being closed during regular business hours. I don't mean holidays or odd hours, I mean just randomly closed for no apparent reason. They've also closed the drive thru and replaced it with a live teller machine. I don't trust machines when making deposits, so my only option now to make a cash deposit is to park and go inside. I did try to use the live teller machine twice, and both times it was out of order. If it wasn't such a hassle to change my direct deposit, I would have already left this bank. If I could give them zero stars I would. I do not recommend, anywhere else has got to be better.

Very difficult to deal with. After calling and setting up a car loan, I went to the Carrollton branch with what I was told I needed. That didn't go as planned. What should have been a short and simple process turned into a 1.5 hour fiasco. Website is substandard to put it nicely. This bank seems to be about 25 years behind my primary bank. Drive thru is no longer open when I go by but I am welcome to deal with an ATM instead of a person apparently. Paid off loan I spoke of this week but even though the funds from my primary bank have been transferred to acu I still have to wait 10 days to have the title released. I cannot wait to close my accounts and be finished with this absolute joke. I absolutely do not recommend this bank to anyone.

Overall I really like ACU. They have great loan rates for auto being a credit union and I would imagine the rates for other loan types would be equally amazing. The staff is always friendly but I admit there has been a few times I received false information, for example an unauthorized charge came through and after disputing I requested the nsf fee to be waived as it brought me into the negative. I was told I had to talk to the company who the dispute was with which didn't sound right being that I didn't know who they were let alone contact details. I'm glad they have the automated teller now because for a while I thought I'd have to find another bank. With my work hours I can't go to the branch while open to deposit a check or cash and ok I'm a little paranoid and ditzy. I don't feel comfortable putting such items in an envelope and putting it in the deposit because if an issue happened where it wasn't deposited or mistakenly lost or deposited in another account how can I prove it was mine? Not sure if that actually has happened but nonetheless it was on my mind. I prefer to bank with a person so I'm a bit bummed the drive thru is closed but we are given the ATM teller option at least. I also like the ability to deposit checks from the banking app. Overall I do recommend ACU I just wish they had more locations and we're open on Saturday.

I have banked with ACU for several years now and I have never had any issues and prefer a CU to a “Big Bank” a thousand times over.
