Caring, mostly full-time staff that treat my family resident like their family. Transferred to Phoenix from another memory care facility and couldn't be happier. I have "peace of mind" when I'm not visiting knowing my loved one will be well taken care of.

My mother-in-law just moved into the independent portion, and it has been the perfect decision for her. The staff, down to the last person, has been attentive and eager to make sure everything runs smoothly. If anything needs to be done, it is handled swiftly and professionally. I am truly excited to see how my MIL blossoms in her new home!

I am very excited to write this review about the Phoenix At Union Hill. I am a 63 old woman who never thought she would need to live in assisted-living at this age, but sometimes surgeries go wrong and you have to reach out for help. I could no longer live alone. I went from being in a wheelchair, to living in assisted-living to progressing to a walker and ready for independent living. I was referred to the Phoenix At Union Hill through a former staff member that had recently joined the staff here and told me “Sandra this is the place you need to be!”
I scheduled a tour and was welcome by Jennifer Udy, Sr Exec. Director and Teresa Cohn, Community Engagement Director. We immediately developed a bond & friendship. I have never felt so warmly welcomed by any administrative staff. I realized I had new friends from day one. in addition, I was introduced to Janice Kimber, Program & Outreach Director ( also known as our incredible art and activity director).
I have been here for two months in the independent living and I have never felt like I have found my home before this move. The food is definitely restaurant quality and I want to personally thank Manny Santana, the executive restaurant director and Robert Diaz, the food and beverage Director; they make sure every resident is being taken care of and the restaurant quality food is definitely a 5 star rating!!!
If you’re looking for independent living, assisted-living, or memory care for yourself or a family member you must must come take a tour and check out the Phoenix At Union Hill in Canton, GA I again have never felt so welcomed and loved and we have so many fun activities!!! There’s always something for everyone the entire staff here goes beyond what is required of them to make us feel as we are home and all family. I plan on living here for a long, long time, thank you to each and every one of the servers, Casey & and all the Housekeeping staff, and all the transportation drivers. There’s just not enough words to say this is the place you wanna live!!

My apartment is perfect size for me and has updated finishes. The community has so many activities indoors and outdoors which allows for meeting people and sharing our stories. Staff is respectful, helpful and engaging.

Tonight I had dinner with my Dad at the Phoenix at Union Hill. Jamal had about 10 tables. He treated every resident with care. Even though you could tell he definitely had a lot on his plate he kept a smile on his face. Great experience.

I'm a traveling Nurse Assistant, I recen, for all my efforts of tly kicked up a shift through the Kare app at this facility. My travel time was 1hr 15 minutes, I arrived on time and completed the assignment with no hesitation, the pay rate advertised was $144. Upon completing the shift I noticed that not only did they not pay me the bonus rate but I was giving a 1 star for all my efforts of making it on time and providing their residents with the best adequate services. For all the CNA'S that travel like I do and care about the high prices in gas, wear n tear on yoyr vehicles and the time given to make it to this facility safely. I wouldn't put in the effort, it's not worth your time or travel for the false advertisement and the ugly look the wellness director gives, because he's the only 1 that's been a RCA for 5 yrs and all that we've learned over more yrs than him, doesn't mean nothing, because you're just agency!! Avoid this facility at all cost!! You've been advised from a fellow traveler, make your proper funds somewhere else.

What a great community! Our company, Atlanta Senior Placement, has placed residents in all of their living options and our clients love it! Jennifer the Executive Director and her entire staff are from top to bottom our favorite. Highly recommend this community!

The Phoenix at Union Hill was our choice to have my parents live. Staff is very caring and sensitive to all of their needs. Lots of activities for them to get involved in. I would give a 4.5 because there is always room for improvement. I am very pleased we chose The Phoenix at Union Hill.

My in-laws lived in assisted living from Jan 2023-Oct 2023 and in that time I believe the site had 4 directors, 3 head nurses, & 3 head chefs & numerous other management changes. Management of this place is a total disaster! We kept giving them the benefit of the doubt and kept hoping it would get better but it never did. Trying to get help from doctors or help filling out forms was extremely difficult. Understanding their processes of what to do when my parent were ill or needed a doc was impossible. There is just not enough mgt or staff at this facility to handle all the people’s needs. The few regular CNAs and nursing assistants they had were wonderful to my parents, but even they had too many people to try and support. We felt sorry for them and could tell how flustered they would get. We came almost daily and got to know the regular staff well. It’s a miracle they have held onto their good staff during this time. The dining rules changed over the summer and the menu became very limited. The people on the 2nd floor could only eat on the 2nd floor or they would have to pay extra if they went downstairs to the main dining room. If my parents didn’t want 1 of the 2 choices to eat they were stuck with eating that. They couldn’t just order an egg salad sandwich or they would have to pay. Also eating on the 2nd floor meant food was often served cold as the kitchen is downstairs. One of the elevators in assisted living has been broken for months! There was a lightning strike I believe in April and they just kept saying a part is on back order. I find it hard to believe that it’s ok being down to 1 elevator for that long. The front desk people are sweet and really everyone is super nice…our parents just needed more than they could give. It’s a very nice looking and clean facility. They just need some steady management brought in that knows how to run a place like that and stay consistent. Definitely need more nursing staff!

My mom is over 100 years old. Her most recent upset was in the dining room. It took 2 hours to be served her dinner. The quality of food is poor, often her table has to send their meal back. Oh, yes, its true, they make you feel independent, she has no choice, she stocks her refrigerator and prepares her own meals! The website says gourmet meals! Beware!

My sisters and I chose Phoenix at Union Hill for Mom & Dad after touring several assisted living facilities. We received a very warm welcome from Teresa (we LOVE her!) and she took time to answer all our questions and provided the assurance we needed to move forward with our decision that it was the right time to make this move. After seeing the 2-bedroom floorplan we knew it was perfect for our parents and that we had found their next home. What we didn't know at the time was that the staff would be as genuine and warm as Teresa. It took no time for staff to recognize us and greet us by name when we visited. If there is anything going on with Mom & Dad, they do not hesitate to provide a quick update in the hallways. My parents have made some wonderful new friends at Phoenix, and I truly believe this was a great move for them. They enjoy getting a cocktail in the pub with their new friends and sharing meals together in the dining room. There are far too many special staff to mention them all by name, but a huge thank you to Teresa, Brandon, Jamal, Ruthie, Sheri, Valerie, Nick, and Wanda for their welcoming smiles and genuine care for our parents’ well-being. The only negative has been that Mom & Dad don't always love the meals. However, it was just announced that changes are being made to the menu/meal plans and I am excited to hear great reviews from Mom & Dad. THANK YOU PHOENIX for providing a caring and safe home for our parents!
