Nothing but positive things to say about The Crest. I’ve lived here since November and plan to stick around for a while! Had my first experience with the maintenance staff today & Nick was great. Replaced a faulty lock on my front door & re-sealed it as well within a couple hours of me calling the front office. The grounds are well kept, neighbors are polite & it is nice and quiet 24/7. Beautiful facility, and I recommend to anyone looking. Best value for money around the area.

Went recently to the complex to move a family member and was impressed on how clean the parking lots are and the maintenance of the grounds. I would recommend this complex to a friend .

I’ve lived at this location for almost a year! I love the office & maintenance crew and they always go above and beyond no matter the issue. The property itself is gorgeous and the amenities make living there even better. The property is kept very clean. I also appreciate that they use Poo-Prints and have noticed less dog waste around other properties I’ve lived at in the past.

Honestly, probably never moving out. Compared to places we’ve lived in the past this place is quiet, calm, and very well kept. The property manager and her staff are attentive. Maintenance is quick and respectful. Not to mention they fine people for dog poop left behind, so i’m not constantly stepping in other dogs poop. 10 out 10, would recommend to anyone looking.

Great view from the mountains, well maintained property and amenities. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. If you are in between places come check it out…I did and now I’m more permanent than anticipated!

We moved into these apartments in July of last year and it has been the absolute most awful experience ever. When we moved in the microwave didn’t work, the breaker kept flipping every time we turned the dishwasher on, our AC went out for a week when we were getting heat advisory while I had a 3 year old and a new born baby here, our smoke detectors went off for 2 days straight and once they came to fix it they didn’t bring back a replacement for one of them. Every time we try to call the emergency maintenance line it rings and then hangs up. If you are looking for an apartment to move into don’t move here.

Excellence! I visited The Crest at Laurel Canyon repeatedly for about a year before I moved in. I wanted to compare and really feel certain I was making the right decision. Each time I was so impressed, and I met with different staff members who were genuinely welcoming and helpful. Jenna Grassi the Manager, was thorough and so helpful during the move-in process. I was so appreciative and realized I was in good hands. She was honest with me and that honesty is so important to build client trustThe other staff members were as genuine and polite as Jenna. Kayla Jefford was the very first person I met there and honestly I was sold after that visit with her.Positive and Helpful! Shy Camps entertained my frequent visits with charm and patience! Marisa Smith-Jackson assisted me on move-in day. She made me feel so special on move-in and she even checked on me toward the end of the day! Wow! I have lived in apartments my entire adult life and just ... wonderful. This means a lot to me and to anyone in an apartment ... the staff members are directly involved in your home life, activities, and amenities. Also, the property is luxurious, the apartment is charming, the neighbors are so friendly, and all the pets make this the most special and loving place to live. ❤️I am in heaven here, so thank you so much Jenna Grassi and staff! You are wonderful and deserve more than 5 stars. -- Stacey C.

Honestly I'm very disappointed in this apartment complex. This apartment complex as nice as it is has many problems. First off half of the stuff keeps breaking. First it was the washer, then the dryer, the garbage disposal still never worked since we moved in, the fridge was busted and the temperature never worked, then our ac died and the maintence guy told us he had to replace this one before like three times. Then flies got into our apartment from a crack in the patio door clearly not sealed correctly. This was also due to our very inconsiderate upstairs neighbors which this apartment complex still has refused to do anything about. They let their dog run rampant upstairs. They slam doors bang around drop things all up into the night. After countless complaints this still has not addressed. The very likelihood of us renewing this lease is slim to none. The only competent people here are the maintence staff, working tirelessly to fix the issues the complex is too lazy to address. This apartment is painted gold on the outside, but out of my 7 years of apartment living, I've never had more inconsiderate neighbors or apartment staff which clearly only cares about you before you enter the door.

Honestly, we were pretty disappointed with this complex. Sure, it’s a beautiful complex. However, they are very deceptive with how the apartments look and what’s included. We were shown a model one bedroom apartment at the complex before moving in. The model was nice. It had a pantry, nice big bathtub, washer and dryer. Come to find out that our apartment was vastly different from the model. No pantry, a shower with a door that was messed up, leaking sprinkler on the balcony, etc.The packet that they give you when you sign your lease and view the model apartment states all of the great amenities. We were most excited about the washer and dryer which the packet and the website advertise as being included in the apartment. Well, we move in and there is no washer and dryer. I go to the leasing office to ask and come to find out that “not all apartments include this”.Half the time that we were there, our microwave didn’t work, our sink caved in on us, the sink head broke off, and our sprinkler never was fixed (put in multiple work orders for it). Overall, the experience was less than what we were expecting. Especially given what we were paying. Definitely not worth the money.

I feel compelled to amend my review of five years ago. I truly felt that the Crest at Laurel Canyon was a wonderful place to rent great apartments at that period of time. The staff then were very attentive when I moved in five years ago. Unfortunately, the management staff changed over the years and I can't state that they are nearly as attentive now. I would amend my original 5 star rating to "an overly generous 3 star rating".The layout of the apartments are really first rate access the appliances and layout are awesome. However, the service and responsiveness of the management team to any complaints is sorely lacking. I resided on the main floor in the 8000 building and my upstairs neighbor had a 100+ pound dog who constantly ran across the floor above me. I could constantly hear this dog scratching with his nails across the floor above me as he ran back and forth for hours on end. Based upon the level of noise I could tell that the upstairs apartment was likely not fully carpeted as mine had been.Every time I called management to complain about the excessive noise, they stated that they are "a pet friendly community" and they offered to "move me" to resolve my problem. I have a handicap placard and I can't move to a third floor apartment (which would be the only true option for me). So, I was forced to move to another apartment complex altogether. The moral of this story is, don't move on the Crest at Laurel Canyon unless you don't mind neighbors who might have large, noisy and unruly dogs. Management will not afford you any assistance nor relief should you complain.Additionally, neighbors are messy and very few people abide by the roles for using the compactor. Often unsightly garage will be piled up in front of the compactor for the entire weekend through Friday and Saturday evening). It was an embarrassment whenever folks came to visit me.I'm so happy to be living in a different community where folks actually respect where they live and act accordingly.

This neighborhood is absolutely amazing. It is beyond well kept, quiet, and well managed. Maintenance responds quickly and doesn’t make you feel like a nuisance, unlike most other complexes. It’s so quiet here, I find myself whispering outside sometimes. Lol. I would highly recommend this complex to anybody. The sunsets are absolutely stunning. 10/10!

I’ve resigned twice with The Crest. It’s a great place to call home. I’m not sure why the management staff gets so much hate. I’ve had conflicts at times but they have always been quick to respond and we have worked it out. The maintenance staff is great. The grounds are well kept. Any issue I’ve had has been dealt with. Can’t say anything negative about them. It’s more of a retirement type community so keep that in mind. I didn’t know that being 40 when I moved in. But over all. Best apartment complex I’ve called home in canton. And I’ve lived in almost all of them.
