SICK FERRETS in CANTON? CALL BELLS FERRY ANIMAL HOSPITAL ACWORTH
My family has owned ferrets for the past 15 years. Ferrets are relatively low maintenance pets. Finding a VET who treats Exotics is challenging. I had phoned Riverstone Animal Hospital twice in the past 6 months for my 7 year old ferret, since they treat Exotic Pets. Both times, my ferret was not able to be seen. My first call was when my ferret had ear mites and at that time the first available appointment was in 2 weeks. My second call to Riverstone was when my ferret was experiencing insulinoma seizures and we were looking for help to end his life. Again, we were not able to be seen. Thank goodness for Bells Ferry Animal Hospital who were kind and compassionate enough to see us with a same day appointment! We had a 1 pm time slot, we arrived early and they saw our need for urgency and treated my ferret during their lunch hour. It didn't take long. That's all we were looking for, was a little help to ease his suffering. I have in the past sought treatment for exotic pets at Butler Creek Animal Hospital in Kennesaw. Butler Creek was fantastic as well and many times treated our ferrets as walk-ins. We've since moved and now the drive is too far to Butler Creek.
I am not able to rate the quality of care at Riverstone Animal Hospital, since they were never able to see our Exotic Pets. In our time of need it was well worth the call and drive to Bells Ferry Animal Hospital Acworth.

I live an hour away from this Animal Hospital, but I travel to it for my two dogs because they are so wonderful. I have not found a great relationship with any of my local vets, and I really like Dr. Ashley and her staff.

Everyone is so nice here. Front the front desk to, medical assistant to doctors. They are very gentle with our fur-babies.

Take all of my babies here from my dogs and cats to my reptiles. They are amazing. Kind, knowledgeable and take things slow when my dog was scared. Would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

I have been doing my first rotation clinical as a vet tech student here for about a month now. I can honestly say that I've never seen such a wonderful, compassionate team before. They do everything they can for your pet and keep you updated the whole step of the way. Whether it's just a yearly wellness exam to getting vaccines to every emergency in between, they will treat their pet with the same love and care they have for their own pets. I would trust them with all my furbabies.

I took a Bearded Dragon here for a physical/ general check-up. They gave alot of attention and were very thorough. I am glad I went in, as I was not aware that he had clogged pores on his underside. They gave him a bath with solution and cleared out each pore. Also, they gave a few recommendations to optimize his health. I highly recommend them!
