Brought my transmission up to the shop to have it remanufactured and I got it back with more problems than I brought it there for. They weren’t cooperative on fixing the problems they caused. They wanted to charge me more for fixing a problem they caused and ended up repaying but not fixing the problems they caused with my transmission that will now cost more to get rebuilt somewhere else. They almost seem like they have no real will to work on the jobs they are getting paid to do.

I dealt with another local shop that left me with a defective transmission so I took it to Cherokee Transmission and dealt with Jeff and not only did they fix the other shops work they also did so with honest and fair pricing and great customer service 5 stars

I've been in the auto business for over 40 years. I've dealt with many business owners over the years and Mike is one of the most stand up guys in any walk of life. Years ago he stood behind a job that he did so far above what was fair I was blown away. Not only is he the type with good morals and character but he is flat out good at his trade. He is the last of a dying breed. What's even better is his son has the same character. So good business at Cherokee Transmissions will continue for awhile longer for sure.Service: Transmission

If you live in Cherokee County and you find yourself with transmission problems, there is simply no reason to go anywhere else. . I have nothing but good to say about the whole experience. Mike, in particular gave me a lot of confidence the way he communicated with me about my truck. He went above and beyond customer service. Stop in to get a engine code cleared so I can get my Emissions, the young guy didn't want to help so he told me he couldn't read a Land Rover. I asked why it's just a Ford Eco-Boost? He said that the electronic was different. I did oh okay but I know better I have done this for 35+ years just don't have access right now because of work. Hell even the parts store can read it they just can't clear the code because of liability issues. If they will lie about something do simple what else will they lie about?Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I stop in to see if they could clear an engine code after I replaced a part on my car so I could get my emissions done, less than a minute process. The young guy working there wasn't very friendly and asked me what the vehicle was that he could see through the window was a Land Rover. After I told him he said that he couldn't read those, I asked why it's just a Ford Eco-Boost? He said yeah but the electronics are different. So I've done this for 35 years I know it's the same just OBD II hell the parts store can read it they just can't clear it because of Liability issues. If they will lie about something so simple what else will they lie about?

These guys were awesome! My husband's truck needed a new transmission, I ordered one that took forever to get delivered, but they didn't charge us any storage fees or anything. It's running like new now! Any transmission work we ever need will be done at Cherokee Transmission
