Horrible customer service. My paid online order hadn't been pulled so it took time to put the order together. This was extra time that I hadn't counted on. The attendant acted as though it was a huge imposition to do his job. The store showed the mattress cover I paid for online but they were out of the size, so the inventory hadn't been updated. One of the items was a short wardrobe box from my order and the attendant didn't want to open a fresh box sitting a few feet away even though he had NONE available on the floor. What did he think the boxed inventory was for? Take the time to go to another location and save yourself the aggravation.

The good: the truck did not break down and made the 200 mile round trip. The bad: truck A/C only worked below about 40 miles per hour. At highway speed (for about 180 of the 200 mile trip) the A/C worked maybe 10% of the time in 85+ degree weather. Driving into the sun towards the end of the day.The ugly: Booked labor to unload truck thru uhaul website. The labor crew to unload the truck never showed up (they did call to say that had been double booked). They showed up the next day (so incurred a 2nd day of truck rental). The app to use times out when uploading photos (multiple times). And prevented me from recording damage to the truck (but I have time stamped photos and video of the damage of the truck, taken with a cell phone camera and cellphone flashlight). The above is uhaul corporate issueBelow is the specific Uhaul facility issue.Checking out the truck, in the dark, because the facility parks trucks with minimal lighting, shoulder width apart and backed up to a dirt berm makes it difficult.Tried to use app to take self photo and of drivers license - app from link timed out constantly. Clerk had to take photos. First truck was stuck between other trucks - they found another truck. Checkout of truck was done in the dark. No lights - difficult to checkout using cell phone camera (to see and document damage that existed to truck). Tried to use app to report status of truck, it timed out while uploading photos of damage. Tried to use link again, said link had expired and to call 800 number. Was told by 800 number screener it would take 15-30 minutes to get someone to discuss app issue. Gave up - had purchased the insurance so that should take care of any damage. While driving the truck, 200 miles round trip during the day - the A/C did not work consistently. maybe 90% of the time NO air flow. Was told today when checking in the truck, that "air conditioning is a luxury" even though Uhaul website says trucks have air conditioning and that it doesn't say "it is a luxury". Try driving 200 miles in 86 degree temperatures. Also contracted thru uhaul for laborers to unload the truck - they had overbooked and never showed up. Had to keep the truck for a second day until they showed up today.Uhaul counter representative said AC was a luxury - not guaranteed.Uhaul counter representative said that the labor company was a 3rd party company (true) and the 2nd day wasn't their (uhauls) fault. True, but there is some culpability by uhaul for their contract company.I mentioned to the counter lady that she was the "face" of Uhaul from the customers perspective - and she didn't really seem to be concerned with either the AC, the dark/night time checkout or the labor issues causing a 2nd day of truck charges. (she did apologize for it though). What uhaul web site says about 15 foot truck:What are the features of a 15' truck?Large, roomy cab with seating for 3 adultsAir conditioningAutomatic transmissionAir bagsAM/FM radioDisc brakesAbove doesn't mention that A/C is a "luxury" - so maybe FALSE advertising?Would I use uhaul again? I would probably check out other companies first. I am so glad I didn't have this issue 5 years ago when my son moved 1500 miles - we were going to rent a 15 foot truck (to pull his car) but decided not to. Driving across mid west at the start of summer with no AC would have been...not good. The truck happened to be registered in Arizona - and the temperatures today there were over 100 degrees. I would say if someone had that truck in AZ today they would not have considered it a "luxury"!This is describing what the labor portion from the uhaul website. while it does mention a 3rd party company, they are ON THE UHAUL website and I would be willing to be that Uhaul corporate gets a commission from every booking thru the website from the labor company. Uhaul is the "face to the customer" for that transaction!Moving Help® is an online marketplace that connects you to local, affordable movingcompanies. Find Moving Helpers® that meet

The store was dirty, messy, unorganized, and understaffed. Customers all looked confused and the two staff members looked harried and overworked. For my experience, I rented a dolly, not a truck, just a furniture dolly, and was treated like a third-rate criminal. I was required to have my picture taken and provide two references. For a dolly that cost $50! I could potentially understand if it was a truck but this was a handheld furniture dolly and the company acted like I wanted to rent the Queen's diamond. And I have rented dolly's before and have never, ever been subjected to such invasive procedures. It was the most bizarre and off-putting experience I've ever had in a retail situation. If I wasn't in such a need at that moment I would have left. But I will definitely NEVER utilize any of the services or products from this location ever again. And will encourage others to refrain as well.

They overcharged me for the mileage with 30% without recognize it, when I complained. Their check-in is awful on the App, they charged me a $ 20 convenience fee, even if I did all of pictures and information. They did refund that, that's why the 2 stars. Else it would be a 1 star.

Only one that cares is the owner, D. Some guy named J we got told us some ridiculous thing about how our reservation was incorrect and basically told me to stop talking and let him finish talking when he didn't even check our actual order or know what he was talking about. If it was up to him he would have turned us away right then and there. Thankfully the owner, D, was there to correct him, otherwise we'd have to sit through their hours-long call center.

Needed a van, got a text 2:14, got to the place 2:45. We waited in line for an hour, got to talk to someone and they said we should of been there at 2:15, so he said we were late. My husband told them we could not get their in one minute. They had three vans sitting. But they would not give my husband one. Very rude, will not ever use them again, and my husband rents for business often. What has happened to customer service. It's really bad.

I rented a UHAUL from these people for 24 hours and only drove it 14 miles at most. It went ftom $35 to $99 over night. They charged a $20 overnight fee when I turned it in at 5:45pm same day under 24 hours and $14 for fuel when it was not completely full when I drove it off. Some type of enviromental fee too. Crazy! Owner of Oakwood Tire didn't want to take responsibility in handling it telling me to call Iu-Haul. They took responsibility in renting it to me with no problem, they can take respnsiblity in this review as well. I'd give them and UHAUL zero stars if I could. I was on the phone waiting on U-haul for 3 hours, and they stated they'll investigate verses take care of the extra charges I didn't authorize. Caution when using them for anythiing!
