Loved the idea of a family owned buisness. Stopped by to grab firewood and had a terrible experience. Older guy there was very hostile and was very rude. Stood over me while I'm loading a truck load of wood. no offer of help. Asked for help and was refused. Once I asked for a refund, he became very disgruntled and began yelling and calling me names. Very unpleasant and unprofessional

I bought about 100 pieces of wood and none would burn.. I called them and the lady said “sorry, it should burn.” We gave them another shot and bought some cedar wood, and it would not burn either.. they have terrible quality and they don’t care if your wood isn’t seasoned.

There is a very rude woman that runs this place. I bought firewood here and it wasn't well seasoned and would not burn. She would not let me return it! She said she didn't know one firewood from another. Obviously they do not stand behind what they sell! Go elsewhere for whatever you are buying.

I called this business in Gainesville GA asking if they pickup logs or might know of a logger that did and the lady on the phone was terribly rude when I inquired if they could refer me to anyone else when she said they were too busy currently. Don’t recommend this business as they seem to be aggressive and defensive, awful business practices there ma’am.

Good place for firewood if you camp at Lake Lanier. Close to Jimmy Buffet's place.

Grew up around here. It was always tradition to stop at Pop's Place and get bait and Wings. Had the best wings ever. Miss visiting here. Haven't been here in almost 13 years. My friend had his picture on the wall after he killed a deer. I bet it hasn't changed a bit. Hope to visit soon. Is the wing place still there? â¤ðŸ˜˜

These guys have the bait. Red worms, several types of minnows and crickets. There's even a stand out front selling farm fruit and vegetables. Be sure to stop here on the way to your fishing destination.
