Very good service from the moment you enter until you leave. They managed to save my baby cat. The price seemed good to me for an emergency. They explain everything and help you. Many thanks to all the staff who supported me and also speak Spanish. My Diamond is already happy

It happened year ago now, but I can’t forget about that night,
They just care about money, they don’t care animals die or not.,
they leaved my baby die alone.
They didn’t even called me before or after my baby died,
I’ve felt something so I called them first that night,
Doctor said my baby passed away few mins ago,
?????
they didn’t even knew my baby died if I didn’t called ,
I couldn’t even see my baby, or changed doctor,
just leave him at oxygen room alone until he died so they can charge me every hour for the room and everything,
I had to pay about 4000$ for 41 hours, but they couldn’t save him, that 4000$ and even more wasn’t even important for me and my husband if they saved my baby,
they should of let me go home with him if they can’t save him, doctors kept saying they don’t know he can make or not, they are evils,
They should of try to surgery made him breathe better at least, I think they might worried about payment so they didn’t even tried,
They don’t know why people go to 24hour emergency,
my baby died alone at this horrible hospital,
I can’t even sleep well until these days because of my baby might thought his parents abandoned him there until he died, this made me crazy sometimes,

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have taken 3 animals to them in the past, so I was familiar with them when my vet recommended I take Daisy there for a recurring anal gland infection. She had been on antibiotics off and on for a couple of months, it just seemed to keep coming back. My vet then put her on 30 days straight of prednisone. In the meantime, I got an appointment at this specialist. It just felt different when I walked in the door. Like they wanted the money first before they would even take a look at her. They actually make you pay in advance for what they work up as the estimate to treat your pet.
Dr. Curcio recommended taking her anal glands out. Around $4700. I wanted to do what was best for Daisy, so I scheduled the procedure. But when he did the blood work before the surgery, her liver levels were very high, so Daisy had to go off all meds for 2 weeks to bring her levels back down.
I took her back a few weeks later, and then he did an ultrasound, because of spots on her liver. At that point, the same vet recommended taking out her gall bladder as well, said it was 60% full of sludge, could burst at any moment, and she may die. This time it would be almost $8000 to remove the anal glands and the gall bladder, even though I told him several times that the anal glands had cleared up, thanks to the 30 days of prednisone.
He only gave me a verbal on this, showed me no x rays, films from the ultrasound, nothing. I was just supposed to give him $8000, and take his word for it. I wanted to talk to my husband about this, and consult my regular vet, who had been treating Daisy for 12 years. It would be a long, hard recovery for a dog of her age.
I then asked Dr. Curcio to send her medical records, films, etc to my normal vet, which he did, but it was sent in a format that my vet couldn't even open.
So we waited. My vet wanted to look for signs of gall bladder issues- her coat changing or thinning, diarrhea, vomiting. She checked her anal glands once a month for any reacurrance. We did that for 3 months straight. No issues, blood, etc. We got a 2nd ultrasound on her gall bladder 2 months after his prognosis. Just a small amount of sludge, normal for her age, and totally treatable with MEDS. NOT SURGERY!!.
I am so glad I didn't give this vet clinic my dog or my money, and that I didn't put her through unnecessary trauma. All her tests have been coming back NORMAL FOR MONTHS.
Don't let them guilt you into what they think is best for your pet. They are all about the money now, not really caring for the animals or the debt that they put people in, when you just want to help your pet.
This place has changed so much. For the worse.

If they had a 10 star option, I would have given them the 10! We came in with a stressful emergency and the staff and doctors were so comforting and reassuring in a time of crisis. They were able to help and fix my dog and I will FOREVER be greatful!!! I have also been to them with another pet and the same care was given. Thank you to the staff and the doctors for helping Lola ❤️?

They charged me $155 to bring my dog back to try to look at a mass growing on his lip but said he wouldn’t allow the vet to look so she can’t tell what it is. They did nothing except tell me to take him to my primary vet to save money for a test to be done.

The staff was so kind and understanding when we brought our cat in, who ultimately passed away. They were so compassionate and comforting during a horrible time and even sent the most thoughtful card in the mail. I will never forget their kindness through such a hard situation.

My dog hurt her leg and I took her to North Georgia Veterinary Specialists since it's Sunday, my regular vet was closed and she needed immediate attention. They are the best! Everyone there was friendly and very professional and thorough. Dr. Coslett was excellent, and again very thorough. The cost was very reasonable. I've been there many times and every time was 5 star review worthy. I'm very glad they are there.

Great emergency vet. Ignore the low star reviews. High stress environment when you drop your pet off there, but they have always handled me well and I'm not an easy person when it comes to my pets.
Money wise, love that they give invoices with left and right margins for procedures. Anyone that complains "they only want money", doesn't know business or services. As a logical person (that still freaks out over my pets), I love how they handle what care there will cost. Very transparent.
The technicians are always friendly and inviting when my pets have had overnight procedures. They take as many calls as I can give them and pet my little buddies for me. Can't say enough good things.

We have gone to North Georgia Veterinary Specialists 3 separate times for 3 separate pets. The staff has always been friendly, thorough and informative.
Unfortunately, this last visit, we had to make the difficult choice to put our beloved cat, Percy, down. The level of care that the staff provided throughout this dreadful experience was exceptional. The Doctor assured us that we were making the correct decision, and was there for any questions we had. A few weeks later, we received a card from the practice with handwritten notes in it from the staff offering their condolences.
This practice is a place you rarely want to go - you're likely not there for a good reason. But the care they offer throughout the difficult times is exceptional. I have no hesitation in bringing future pets to them in the case of an emergency.

Brought my Jack Russell in because she was trembling and panting very badly and we thought she had hurt her back trying to jump on the bed and fell backwards. The first vet told us there was nothing wrong with her legs or back but her stomach was tense and painful and the only way to see what was going on was $350 xrays. The xrays proved negative and we were told there was nothing wrong wity her. So after paying $505 we took her home. The next day she got worse so after Hog Mountain refused to see her on a Saturday we went back to N Ga. This vet told us she probably had a disk issue as she was dragging her back legs and clearly in pain. He prescribed two meds and after $182 off we went. The meds were pain meds and anti inflammation meds that seem to be helpful. My point is why didn't the first vet listen to us and tell us it was her stomach and take expensive xrays. Why did she let her continue to be in pain
I understand these things are difficult to diagnosis but come on.
Just know you are going to pay top dollar for what I consider to be mediocre care. Remember to bring your debit card as they now will charge you 3.25% to use a credit card. I'm not sure of the alternatives out there but hopefully there is one.
UPDATE--- On Friday 6-14 a very nice woman (Donna) called me to explain the situation with our Pixie. We talked about the difficulty in diagnosing dogs that obviously cannot tell you where the pain is. We agreed that this is a difficult task. As such Donna agreed to refund the consultation fee for the second visit ($120) As such we parted friends and we will return to this vet care when necessary. Its good to know that people still care about their business and our pets. BTW-- Dr Dempsey was very caring and compassionate. Thank you Donna and N Ga Vet

Our dog Frankie was struck by a car and had head trauma, a punctured lung and a badly broken pelvis. The emergency vet told us we should take Frankie to North Georgia Veterinary Specialists, so we did. Frankie received the care and treatment he needed, including surgery to repair his pelvis that included a plate and 7 screws, and several months later, he is back to normal, running and jumping as he wishes with the only remnant being the shorter hair on his butt and left leg, and that will go away the next time he gets a haircut.
Thank you so much to Dr Oshin and the whole team at North Georgia Veterinary Specialists, you not only saved Frankie’s life, you got him back to normal.

They saved my cat’s life. He had multiple large bladder and urethral stones that were completely blocking Archie’s urinary tract and causing his kidneys to shut down. This was an extremely time sensitive surgical emergency.
Archie’s kidney values were 4x higher than normal. North Georgia Vet managed his medical and surgical recovery well. He needed to stay multiple days to support his recovery and it was “touch and go” but Archie made it!
Dr. Oshin called us twice a day with updates. All the techs were so patient and helped us spend time with Archie while he was in their care. Everybody was so very patient.
Did it cost thousands? Yes. As it should. Veterinarians are DVM -Doctors of Veterinary medicine. The clinic has operating costs, surgical equipment, Vet techs, and other expenses. When I saw our final, itemized bill I was honestly surprised things didn’t cost more. Why would anyone expect an out of pocket surgery and recovery to cost less than $4500? I’ve had to put a pet to sleep once due to lack of $8000. It haunted me. I vowed I’d never again be in the position of euthanizing a beloved animal for lack of money. We’ve had pet insurance on all our animals since then. It has saved their lives and our financial stability 5 times over since. Those who are upset about the prices might do well to consider pet insurance. People deserve to be paid for their training, experience, and expenses.
There are some opportunities for improvement I could offer if the office manager cares to reach out. Otherwise, all in all we came home with a happy, healthy cat who would’ve otherwise died.

My Golden Retriever is 13 months old.I live 2 1/2 hrs away. 5 hr trip. Had to have a $11,000 total hip surgery. It was worth every penny. They answered every question I had. He was there 3 1/2 days. And now we are starting our 12 week recovery. The whole staff was wonderful. Kristy was so helpful in me understanding what I needed to do for his recovery. Thanks to the whole team. We’re not done but we’re off to an excellent start.
THANK U. Maverick thanks you too.
