I would definitely steer away from purchasing anything from David or Carefree Boats. After driving 9 hrs to go purchase the boat, and giving him notice earlier in the week when I was arriving, I get there and find the boat covered with pine needles and with extensive damage to the Keel of the boat from loading it on the trailer. David met me there when I arrived, and as soon as I mentioned the additional damage that was not there during the survey he left and just said call me let me know what you want to do. Long story short, I had to clean the boat myself and also pay some one to repair the damage caused by whoever loaded the boat. I am not sure how people have had good experiences with David, he was the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in my life. Make sure if you do deal with him that everything is in writing and that you get everything you need. He was dishonest about the price of the boat, it took me threatening him with legal action for him to honor the price we had set before I drove the 9 hrs to pick up the boat. Just be careful who you do business with, definitely stay away from David and Carefree Boats. You will save yourself a lot of heartache and frustration.

Care Free Boat Club was awesome! The rental was extremely clean, everything worked as it should, and David made the process fast and easy. Can't wait to take the family out again the next time we are in town!

Had the pleasure to visit this club out of our normal home network. The boats and marina were beautiful. Enjoyed the day and I would highly recommend this location to locals looking for a club to join.

Excellent club and people working for it. Highly recommended. They have always been courteous and helpful anytime I've ever needed a part or had a boating related issue I needed help with. They have beautiful boats and keep them immaculate.

We live in Jacksonville Beach and spent our anniversary weekend on Lake Lanier Island and the Carefree Boat Club made the trip amazing. The boats are beautiful the owner is so friendly and knowledgeable about the area gave us great suggestions on otherthings to do.

Disclaimer: I don't own a membership.The experience was quick and easy to jump on a boat. The docks are well maintained, the boats are in tip top shape. The service was cordial.Overall great experience, but I don't know what the price is. Seems like a better idea than buying a boat, paying slip rental and boat maintenance.
