PetSmart, Brunswick, GA I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at PetSmart in Brunswick, GA, and I feel compelled to warn others about their grooming services. I left my Golden Doodle for grooming with detailed instructions and reference pictures, only to pick her up completely shaved. This was shocking and infuriating, especially since I had meticulously explained how I wanted her groomed. During the "check-in" procedure, the groomer Amanda mentioned a small knot behind my dog's ear and a little on her stomach, which she said she could brush out with conditioner. This seemed manageable, especially since my Doodle is line brushed every day. When I confronted the manager about the complete shave, she claimed my dog was "severely matted" and had to be shaved. I asked why no one had called me to get approval for such a drastic step, and she had no answer. This explanation was dubious at best, considering my dog had been groomed at the same PetSmart just 2.5 weeks earlier without any issues. To add insult to injury, when I pointed out that my dog was not matted during her last grooming, the manager said, "Well, to be honest, the girl who groomed your dog (for which I paid $93) probably saw how matted she was and just left it and went about her day." This is completely unacceptable. Not only did they fail to follow my instructions, but their attitude was rude and defensive when I sought an explanation. I believe the groomer simply didn't know what she was doing. I have never been so mad or had such a terrible experience with pet grooming. I strongly advise against using PetSmart for your dog's grooming needs. They will ruin your dog's coat and show no accountability or professionalism when questioned about it. Save yourself the headache and take your furry friend somewhere else.

This is my go to place for fish and guinea pig items. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable of the items in the store. I can't remember the lady in the first department but she was very helpful with how many fish in a tank and what fish mix with others well. I need to get two more fish so I'll be back.I wish they were a male and female guinea pig store but they aren't.

The store is always immaculate. Neat clean and organized. However, overall, PetSmart is over priced in my opinion.

Extremely overpriced store unless you happen upon some kind of clearance item. I wanted to buy an item that showed 9.99 online when I got inside it was 19.99

How could you not love PetSmart?!? I've visited in different states, and they're all good. This one in Brunswick has an association with a non-profit organization to find furever homes for cats and while it's hard to see them and not take them home, it's comforting to know they will get great homes. PetSmart is great to share this space and having a friendly and warm environment.

Went in a few times on Tuesday and when I checked out, I ask to receive the 10% discount and was denied by the cashier who said that it was for the military. I told her that I’d check to make sure that it was still given before I dropped my dog off and again she said, No! After thinking about this recurring incident I called on this (Wednesday) morning and spoke to the Manager on duty and was told it was the grooming department’s responsibility to put the 10% discount on the checkout paper because the cashier doesn’t know (PETSMART) about it! She also said that she would tell the grooming manager to remind the new employees to write the discount percentage on the checkout paper. I’ve been going there for over 10 years and the groomers have never put the 10% on the papers because the (PETSMART EMPLOYEE) cashier was aware of the discounts given. Petsmart needs to stop passing the buck and own up to the training oversight of the new hires!
