The plane truth, our pets are our extended families.
If your looking for quality health overall, your first choice in a vet matters. If your new to the area or simply need a primary care option for your pet, Cheek To Cheek is a great choice.

This is a wonderful business and I highly recommend it to anyone who has a pet that needs care. When we had to put our Whoodle down, it was one of the most caring and professional veterinarian visits ever.

Dr. Cheek saved my little heartbeat's life. It's a lengthy story but in summation, my dog had an emergency where her food was unable to pass from her stomach to her lower intestine. She had eaten twice that day and subsequently swelled up to the size of a basketball. I rushed her to Dr. Cheek's clinic and basically insisted she be seen immediately. This was because and only because, I knew her behavior well enough to know the situation was critical. This riled a couple of the office staff a bit, but I will concede that they were probably preparing for a psycho pet parent episode. I worked retail for many years and try never to be 'that customer', and I'm sure I was probably emitting those vibes. Despite this, they did speak with the doctor and he ended up doing emergency surgery. Not only did he address her blockage but he was able to do a liver biopsy that had been suggested previously by an internal specialist while he had her on the table. We needed to go to a Jacksonville facility after the procedure for overnight observation, as Dr. Cheek didn't have the ability to offer that at the time. Upon arrival I met with the internist on hand who was shocked to find out that Dr. Cheek had diagnosed and performed the corrective procedure himself. Suggesting that this type of surgery is typically handled by specialists. This just attests to Dr. Cheek's knowledge, expertise and wealth of real life experience. It's been two years since her surgery and despite the initial opening being about five inches long, you can't even detect the scar unless specifically looking for it. She's had no further issue since the procedure. Let me also include the fact that we hadn't been seen at Cheek to Cheek for close to three years and under a fellow veterinarian's care who no longer worked there at that. For explanation, I now live out of town and had switched to a local vet who wasn't open at the time of the emergency. So not only did Dr. Cheek do the emergency procedure, but he was essentially doing it for a new patient. I have nothing but respect and gratitude for him and his staff. I truly do believe he saved my Ava's life. If I didn't live out of town, he would be our go to, no questions asked.

I was recommended to take my baby here after our vet clinic closed down, and I couldn't be more disappointed with this recommendation. Considering we'd never been here before my pup was extremely excited, so she had trouble sitting still while the vet tried giving her a shot. After each attempt at the shot, the vet grew more and more frustrated. She rolled her eyes and made remarks like "I just need you to keep your leg down for one second." and "I'm not even hurting you.". Her increased frustration caused me to become stressed out and I began to cry. This seemed to be the final straw for her considering she stopped attempting the shot and made a remark about not continuing since "It was upsetting me so much.". Her lack of compassion towards my dog was truly disgusting, and I think she should reconsider her decision to be a veterinarian since dealing with animals who are hyper seemed to frustrate her so much. I'd taken my pup to her previous vet plenty of times and never dealt with treatment like I did here at Cheek to Check. Do not come here unless you want to deal with a veterinarian who has no compassion or patience for animals. Definitely will not be coming back to see Dr. Ramsey!

Dr. Cheek and Dr. Fry have been nothing short of amazing!! Dr. Cheek has been so incredible with figuring out what’s been wrong with our pets when other vets couldn’t. I swear that man is a genius!! Recently our youngest pup tore BOTH of her ACL’s in both knees and that’s when Dr. Fry came into the picture. Yesterday Dr. Fry preformed our pups first knee surgery and when I went to visit her today she was the happiest girl around. Dr Fry took the time to really explain every detail to me so I knew what she was facing. He’s been so invested in her care and procedures that the man has likely lost sleep over her situation in all seriousness. Seeing my girl so happy and walking so great just after surgery was so amazing and made me so happy and so thankful. ALL of the staff have been so incredible with her and her shyness. When she was recovering and waking up from her surgery and getting an ice treatment, her nurse Carson laid in the kennel with her to keep her comfortable while she got the care she needed. Being a prior vet tech I’ve seen some really shady stuff in this town but this clinic really does go above and beyond to ensure each and every baby is well taken care of and treated as their own. Them being an AAHA clinic just tops it off because you know their standards HAVE to be higher than the rest no matter what because they have busted their butts to get that certification of being an AAHA clinic. I’m so beyond grateful for everyone at Cheek to Cheek for everything they have done for all of our babies and us. They really make you feel like you’re apart of their family. Thank you all SOOOO much for being so amazing we love you all so much!!

Got my Pepper spayed today. The staff was very caring, attentive, and informative. As usual, everything went great. Dr. Cheek is awesome... called right after surgery to let me know all was good and she was out of surgery. Great vet and staff
