I have really enjoyed living at The Ashford so far. It was initially built in 1981, so the rooms are a lot more spacious than some newer constructions. That said, it is beautifully renovated and, compared to other apartments I have lived in, rather well maintained. There is also plenty of parking.
The office and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful, and endeavor to solve any problems in a timely manner. I’ve also enjoyed the fact that they organize events such as pool parties in and around the gorgeous club house so residents can get to know each other. On that note, the residents I have met here have also been friendly and helpful.
We are in a stunning setting in the middle of the forest, and I’m very lucky that my balcony is one of the ones that overlooks the trees. I opted for a top floor apartment because I wanted more light, and my apartment really is bright and airy. I instantly fell in love with the wall of windowed doors, leading out on to my balcony, where I love sipping my morning coffee and listening to the birds. There are also windows in the kitchen, dining room and each of the bedrooms, something I definitely don’t take for granted because many apartments just don’t have enough windows or light.
As for the location, it’s ideal because it’s easily within walking distance of Blackburn Park, which has some pretty trails and fun festivals and events. They are also building a new Publix supermarket round the corner from the complex and there are multiple other shopping centers within walking distance. Plenty of food options, two tailors and a Walgreen’s pharmacy. I definitely have what I need right here, but can also venture into nearby Brookhaven, Dunwoody or Sandy Springs.

If you have a maintenance problem, and a serious one at that. Don’t expect them to be quick or serious about it. This is the case for multiple serious maintenance problems over the past 2 years. Everytime.

The repairs needed on the light switch could not be done by your 0n-site maintenance specialist. It required an outside technician and a new part. I will send the bill when it is received.

We really had a great time at the pool party organized by the Ashford team. Everything was very good. Excelent and fun music, cold drinks for the heat and even ice cream. Everything was very fun. Special thanks to Tyrae Jones & Danielle Jenkins

They told me I was approved. 2 1/2 weeks before my move in date, I get an email from Rhonda, she stated that her regional manager said my check stubs and bank statements were edited. Huh?! All this time they said I was approved, right before my move in date they said my docs were edited. How suspicious is that. My docs were not edited, they were my original documents. She asked me to resubmit docs, why would I resubmit the same docs, if you claim they were edited. So I asked for them to resubmit them. They refused. Make that make sense! Anywho, they use a third/party system called “Docuvers,” they check docs… be very skeptical with these people when submitting your docs … they will have you paying for their move in fees, tell you that you’re approved, then right before your move in date they say your docs were edited. Then they will tell you that you can’t get your money back. Smfh, sounds like a whole SCAM to me.

We have had a broken air conditioning unit for over a year and still not fixed. Bought my own window unit. No hot water for 6 days. Cockroaches overrunning every building the summer. AC still isn’t fixed, inconsistent communication, can’t get calls back. Very basic business practices not performed. Think twice about renting here.

Tascia and Sekaria were very helpful staff. Maintenance was on time. Amenities were well cleaned and nice.

Not one to normally do reviews , but moving from out of state, but I must say The Ashford has been welcoming. From their responsiveness with repair request, complex functions (ie pool party, taco Tuesday and so much more) and the professionalism with the front leasing office. Will definitely recommend here for anyone looking to make a new move.

I've lived at The Ashford for over 2 years and have enjoyed the community and the location.
However, our HVAC unit has been not working properly for over a year despite multiple requests for repairs.
This has made the apartment uncomfortable and led to higher energy bills due to the non-functioning unit. We have paid over $200 for our electricity bill in the warmest months, and the apartment has remained at 79 degrees on the hottest days.
We have urged management to prioritize fixing this issue to ensure our comfort, and per our lease, they are required to keep the HVAC working and in good condition. They have to continued to not address this issue.
If you decided to live here, know you are working with management that does not address serious concerns with heating, air conditioning, and costs of energy bills.

Called needing immediate availability. Given an appointment came to the appointment. Informed there are no units available for over a week plus. Apartment hunting is very difficult Don't add to the problems.

I have been in this apartment for 5 years. Very nice community. Management was good. Whenever i had a maintenance request they immediately show up. Never delayed. Apartment are very spacious and clean maintenance outside. Ashford is in prime location for shopping which i loved it.
