I had a 9am appointment on Saturday. The stylist just forgot. As a working mom of five this is unacceptable and no one cared. I wouldn't waste my time making an appointment here!

I was extremely excited to try out this salon that is so close to home. I asked for an ashy balayage on medium length hair. The stylist was nice and easy to talk with, but I am very upset with the end product. Four hours and $275 later, my roots were orange. The stylist mentioned that it could be because I put moisturizer on and recommended that I use a headband while getting ready. I’ve been platinum/ashy many times before and have never had any issues. The stylist said I probably just pull more golden/yellow. I called the salon and asked to talk to the owners and instead of them returning my call, they had the stylist reach out to me. She offered to fix my hair but I explained that I didn’t have time and didn’t want to risk being unhappy again. I asked for a PARTIAL refund and it was refused. Now I’m having to get it fixed and probably be another $300 in the hole.

It was by chance I found Platinum Salon and Ms. Karen when I moved from Intown Atlanta 19 years ago. What I found was a sophisticated salon with exceptional stylists and service. The owners Thomas and Karen Gref are hardworking, meticulous, and very welcoming. I always leave feeling pampered and 5 years younger! Michelle V

I have been going to Mrs. Karen for 18 years now and she has always given me exactly what I wanted and more! The whole staff has always been so kind, always confirming appointments and making sure I was comfortable. I recently started getting color in my hair and Mrs. Karen helped me get exactly what I wanted and my hair always feels light and healthy because of her! I think the pricing is more than fair especially for what you are getting and the salon also had amazing hair care products.

Love what Michelle does with my hair. The highlights and lowlights look great on my dark brown hair. I’m concerned about the inconsistency of pricing. My first visit I paid $216 with 20% tip. Approximately two months later, I paid $238 with 20% tip. Had the same services done and same stylist. A price jump of $22 in two months—is high.

I really like the cut and color, but find the inconsistent pricing a bit upsetting. First time I went, i paid $216 with 20% tip. Second time, it was $238 with 20% tip. Same services, same stylist.
