Dropped a gun off to have a trigger fix on my rifle. They had the gun for a month. Callled multiple times to see if the gun was ready. Every time they would tell me they have not had a chance to look at it yet. I get you get busy with repairs but a month. Picked up my rifle and took it to another repair shop. Franklins has definitely gone down hill.

My family and I visited this store last week looking for a youth compound bow for my oldest son. I was told by a young man working in the archery section that he’d be with us shortly. OK, that’s no problem; I understand they have responsibilities and maybe can’t get to us right away. I’m not expecting red-carpet treatment and detest customers who treat employees like personal servants. That said, nearly 15 minutes passed, with me, my wife and two boys just standing there awkwardly, waiting for some kind of acknowledgement or any sign of life really, which was not forthcoming. Meanwhile, the young man behind the counter seemed entirely unaware that we had ever spoken. If he or the other older employee who materialized had just said, hey, give me just a few more minutes, we would have happily waited, but as it was we left. There were barely any customers in the store, maybe one or two others. I don’t often leave negative reviews and I believe in supporting and patronizing local establishments, but in this case I think the mean reputation is warranted. For a place that sells a whole lot of military gear, they don’t treat veterans or their families or any other families with much care, or so it seems to me.

There are 8 or 9 employees in the store. I was standing at the counter. When the one employee was walking by that asked if I needed anything, told me no they did not have something. He never broke stride and kept going. I was one of 3 customers in the store. Left my items and just left. Hate it because I try to buy local.

This place used to be good.until they made it where guns are behind the counters now. So you have to ask before you touch a gun and cant just be by yourself and see if yoh like how the gun feels or see if it is the way you like to have things set up.

Social Circle ace Bow shop messed up my bow, and I heard great stuff about Franklins so I brought it to them. They know what they’re talking about and I trust them with my bow completely. Very good experience will be using them for the rest of my life!

My family has used Franklin's Gun Store before and has never had any problems. I went on my own for the first time to get help with a used bow I just bought. I am new to archery and know little about the products and process of setting up a bow. When I asked to get my draw length measured, adjusted, and have my peep fixed I knew neither how much it would cost me nor how that process was done. The man behind the counter noted that my nocking point was off and began to adjust that first. He proceeded to install a kisser, another item I could not make out because of his handwriting, charged me for changing the draw length, and for changing out the nocking point completely. The only new thing he installed that he made me aware of, or that I asked for, was the peep. So, after he handed me a paper with a list of items and services he had done on my bow, costing a total of over 50, I was confused. As far as I can tell he at least did a good job, but again, he disappeared to the back before I could ask any questions about the charges or installments he made on my bow. Overall, I felt I was taken advantage of as a young customer who did not know what was going on.

I was in there yesterday and nobody would help me they just sat and looked at me 3 of them I was going to buy a shotgun but I will buy it somewhere else. When I walked out an older man said nobody would wait on him oh well I’ll just go somewhere else.

Had a great experience there this past weekend. They offered a fair price for my trade in and it was a real pleasure doing business with them. I’ll certainly be back and they earned a customer. Nicely done.
