*****ISSUES WITH WEBSITE The website link takes you to Go Daddy instead of the website and log in. Please fix this as paying one's bill is very hard now. We like the Storage units but the website needs fixing.

Not off to a good start. Their phones aren’t working and our access code doesn’t work. Not a reliable business so far.

Pure filth! As I can't get anyone to answer the phone and there is not an email contact on the website, I'll post this here. I guess I'm still in line, since I requested a callback last week! I called again today, but waited over 30 minutes and all I heard was music. The customer service is lacking. We rented a unit online, which was very convenient. Upon arriving at the unit (CC164), we were shocked at the condition!! The previous renter did not clean it and the staff did not inspect it before placing it back online for the next renter. It looks like the salt you put down in winter. The floor is covered in white powder. We use storage units to store furnishings for our clients, but we need to spend time cleaning it prior to placing anything inside. This is NOT acceptable! We ask that someone would call us so we can discuss this in more detail!

If I could give zero stars I would. The code they give you NEVER works. Then there’s nobody on sight to help you. There’s nobody who answers the phones. When you finally get ahold of someone they’re nasty and rude and unhelpful. Let it be known that if you work for a place and have to tell clients or customers you’re sorry for the attitude you had... it doesn’t make it right and you should lose your job. Absolutely horrible. Will NEVER recommend them.

Windy Ridge Storage and John Shirey are the best in the storage business. I recommend them highly!

Convenient and clean facility. Employees are helpful and easy to work with. Easily able to access the facility and load/unload. Would recommend to others.

I just discovered this place. Great location and clean. It came under new mgmt and they are great. (That bad review must have been before it came under new mgmt.) quick response and easy access to the facility. I just need to buy more stuff to store to I have a reason to rent more units! 😉

Morganton Point State Park is a great getaway. The tent campsites A-F are in an awesome spot extending out into the lake.

If I could give them negative I would. Where do I begin? Do not expect any response once they have your money. When we contacted them when payment was sent, when the date was finalized for our arrival and on the day we needed the info to get into the storage. No responses. Our arrival to get into storage, she did not call until after 5 pm. She says she has a full time job that is more important so you just have to wait until she gets around to taking care of any business related to the storage facility. When she did call back after 5 pm, she now said we hadn't paid. When we told her we had the receipt, could prove we did, and had sent this info previously, she said she had to go check and call back. When she finally called back she now complained because it was so late, she would have to pay someone to go out and unlock the storage units. It was HER fault it was so late anyway, but being the sun was setting, it was too late to begin to unload the truck. However we were on a tight schedule to return the rental truck. We told her we would need to begin early the next morning. Next morning we get into the facility and at the very back is a tiny sign, "No Big Trucks". And a pick up truck would have problems. Now she was told we were coming in from out of state with a 16 foot rental truck filled with household items and the truck had to be returned to another location. We would have limited time to unload and it was just older adults. I believe the reason she never once mentioned there were any restrictions for large trucks (everyone else we called later did immediately) was because she knew what the outcome would be. The rental units she gave us were on the section hardly any vehicle could get to easily. Our units were about a city block and a half down. More if you consider where the truck would have to be parked. No way we could unload the truck and carry that much stuff that far. We called, we text we couldn't get to the units. We waited until we couldn't any longer. No response. This is another reason I believe she intentionally set this scenario up. If you were legitimate you would be concerned about your customer/s. To this day she refuses to return our attempts to contact her. She took over $100.00 for nothing. At the very least she should have immediately returned the cleaning deposit since we never opened the doors. We dont even know if she ever unlocked them. When you're from out of town, you don't know who the scammers are unless they try to pull a fast one before you arrive. She still has not returned our effort to get in contact with her, nor even the cleaning deposit. Based on everything, I truly believe when she said we hadn't paid, she knew we had (after all we had sent her the info from paying it) and was trying for even more money. I hope my review/s will save someone else from losing money and being set up. She knew the truck wouldn't be able to get to the units and she knew what the probable outcome would be. And, if a business is operated by someone who has a "full time job that always takes precedence", they don't need to be in business anyway if they can not handle basic business ethics.
