Belyeu Deanna DVM
88 All Creatures Pl, Blue RidgeOne of my dogs became ill on our way up from FL to Blue Ridge. We waited a few days to see if he got better, but he didn't. Ocoee Animal Hospital squeezed us in their schedule as soon as they could and took care of our boy. Michael, the vet tech, was so caring and sweet to our pup and him and the doctor spent a good amount of time with me explaining what it could be and the treatment. Amanda and everyone at the front desk were also so kind to me even though we were not regular patients. This animal hospital cares about your pets and I felt so lucky to have found them while on vacation.

Pet Sitting & Training
Spirited K9
3427 Sugar Creek Rd, Blue RidgeI was on the verge of rehoming my German Shepherd mix puppy because of behavioral issues. She is very smart and I had done a lot of training using positive reinforcement and leash pressure corrections. She could do a lot of tricks and follow commands...until she would (sometimes) decide not to, and lunge and bite at me. She was also aggressive toward certain people in my family and more rarely toward strangers. I had decided I couldn't live with the situation and talked to Nate Schoemer, whose you tube videos I had been using for training. He said I may need to use a prong collar or shock collar to correct the behavior. I wouldn't have used these more severe techniques without professional instruction. Nate highly recommended Maureen for professional training and she is within a half day drive from my home.I really had not considered professional training for my "free" rescue puppy. But I had spent 4 months training Bertie and was very attached to her. She was a lot of fun when she wasn't attacking me! I took her for a 2 week training and it was the best investment I have ever made.I made some dietary changes and have greatly increased her daily exercise. Instead of fighting against her genetic predisposition, Maureen showed me games to play with her that we both really enjoy! I am now confidently walking her off leash on local trails and although she hasn't yet gotten friendly with all people, she will sit in a climb position when instructed and understands she isn't allowed to bark at them. I know this is a long review but I could go on and on. I am so delighted that I will be able to keep my dog Bertie and I'm no longer anxious that she may attack me.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Ferraro's Kitchen Blue Ridge
322 W Main St, Blue RidgeWe had our anniversary dinner here. We made a reservation noting our anniversary. The staff was absolutely wonderful! Our waiter, Sebastian, was very kind and attentive. Dinner was absolutely delicious. At the end of our dinner they gave us a tiramisu and a card wishing my husband and I a happy anniversary signed by all of the staff! We were so touched! Considering making Ferraro’s our anniversary tradition.

Rum Cake Lady Cuban Food Downtown Blue Ridge
205 W First St, Blue RidgeAlways stop anytime we are in BlueRidge GA . Not like a drive thru the mountains is a hardship but we have actually driven the hour it takes to get there just to have lunch.
The Cubano sandwich is literally the best Cuban sandwich I've ever eaten. My wife and I have gone to many fancier " Cuban" restaraunts and yet this little place makes the best . Read the sign in the dining area where you pick up the food . Their family story is pretty cool .

Angry Hops Brewing
341 E Main St, Blue RidgeThe beer is so good. And they can even make cans on the spot to take home for about 5 a can, large cans. I thought the beer was right on, and my family had fun playing Jenga and corn hole.

Mike's Trackside BBQ
3950 E 1st St, Blue RidgeIt is a small restaurant with pretty good food and has some outdoor seating. The staff were friendly, and the outdoor seating, where we sat, was clean. I'd return if I was in the area and hungry for a good variety of BBQ.

Bob's Eatery Blue Ridge
511 E Main St Suite #400, Blue RidgeThe service was good at Bob's but I wouldn't say great since there are no servers. You order and pay at the counter and your food is brought out in a paper bag. I know a lot of restaurants are going this route to save money but it's always nice to have a full service restaurant. The ambiance is just ok. You sit outside in a tented area and it was warm the day I went. Not much air circulation, even with two side hanging fans. As for the food.....it was very good! The sandwiches are tasty and fresh, as well as the personal pizzas. Might be the best pizza in Blue Ridge. Bonus: the pizza crust is made with cauliflower so anyone who can't eat flour would love it. I recommend Bob's for the food and you can always do carry out.

Vine
632 E Main St, Blue RidgeFound this place by chance on our first trip to Blue Ridge yesterday. They had us with outside sign touting wine and beer flights. Small quaint place with great atmosphere with live music great food and drinks. Wife is the wine drinker and they had great selection. Barkeep picked her flight based on her likings and did a great job on selections. Beer flight is limited to whats on tap which isn't a lot since it is mainly a wine bar but what they did have was really good. As a bonus to train fans they have a n-scale train set encased into the bar. Everyone was super friendly and would definitely return if we go back to Blue Ridge

Boat Dock Bar & Grill
335 Marina Dr, Blue RidgeWe visited this spot while on vacation, looking for a dog-friendly restaurant (found via the BringFido app). The view was lovely , and we enjoyed a stroll after lunch to take some photos . Upon arrival, we checked in for a party of three. The host staff was efficient but not particularly welcoming . We were seated quickly, within five minutes . However, service throughout the meal was slow--there were long waits for drinks , refills , and the check , even though the restaurant didn't seem overly busy. Given the limited menu , I expected quicker service. I also noticed a note on the menu limiting dining time to 45 minutes , which seemed odd considering the pace of service. If the establishment enforces such a time limit, they should ensure the service is prompt enough to accommodate it without making guests feel rushed . Additionally, for a holiday weekend , the menu was extremely limited. We drove in from a neighboring town , and this was not indicated on the website, which was disappointing .
