Simply the best! We had a granddaughter visiting who had engine problems but needed to return home for job/school. Highley's fit them in and solved the problem quickly. We've used them in the past and would recommend them for any automotive work - not cheap but worth every penny! Solid repairs and peace of mind.

Buyer beware. Having a 7.3 ford is a challenge to find good mechanics that won't rip you off. With a leaking oil cooler and went by and spoke with the owner to price the repair. New seals only, since part was new. They priced it at $500. Sounded right to me so booked for the next week. Dropped it off first thing on a Tuesday and went to work. After about 20 min the owners calls to tell me that they listed a 1996 f250 and not the 2002 f250 that I brought in. He told me this would mean a different price. Having both of these trucks over the last 20 years I knew they are identical when it comes to that repair. So I inquired why it was a price difference. His reply was it would need an oil change and anti freeze. I agreed, but both would have needed that anyway. He let me know the new price would be $980 rather then the 500 he quoted. I asked how many hours and his reply was 3.5 which sounded right but the math doesn't work. Basically take it or leave it. So I went with the repair u see duress. Had way thru the repair I was told that the brand new solid aluminum part cracked while they removed it and offered to sell me one and used ones are known to crack. Basically they either dropped it or just couldn't deal with getting it apart. I provided the part since I had an extra or $350. The whole experience was bothersome so I called ford for an estimate on the same repair. They quoted $470 and an oil change. Practically double what the dealer would charge. I did ask if they really wanted to charge me that much since it was highway robbery. I would not recommend or refer them to my worst enemy. Even worse I am local and they know it. Not sure why they would do that to me.

Chris and the guys at the shop were great! While traveling through Blue Ridge, I had an issue with my truck and initially took it to Ford, who could not help me. They recommended Highley's Automotive. Arrived at the shop and spoke to Chris, who understood my predicament and immediately took care of the needed repairs at a fair price. I would certainly recommend them to anyone needing auto repairs. Thanks again Chris!Service: Brakes

Never take your classic vehicle here for transmission work. Chris assured me he would work on my 69 Lincoln which had a transmission leak.. He assured me it would be kept inside. After two months of waiting for him to start work on the vehicle I saw his ad on facebook marketplace for his 66 Lincoln which was for sale. Across the parking lot I saw my Lincoln sitting outside with a hurricane due to arrive the next day. Chris would not answer the phone as it was the weekend so I sent him a message on Facebook. He said he just put my Lincoln outside a week ago because it was stinking up his garage. He was annopyed with me for contacting him said I was stressing him out. What did he think I felt like with my treasured Lincoln which had been constantly garaged and covered sitting out in a parking lot with heavy rain and a hurricane headed in. He said he had no room inside for the car but would get it in the following Wednesday or Thursday and begin work on it. I called Tuesday to see if the car was ok. He said it was and again said he would be getting it in Wednesday or Thursday. Thursday evening he called me to say come and get the car he was not going to work on it. He said I had called him tooo many times. He actually said I called six times on Monday when I made no calls Monday only the one on Tuesday for 30 seconds. He complained I had contacted him on Facebook on a weekend. He claims he only has one mechanic for classic vehicles. Then why take one in if you do not have time for it. Chris thinks you just send the car there and wait until he calls you in maybe three years time.Since I see two other people were scammed on transmission work I guess I got out of this easy but my car suffered from sitting outside for two months. I hate being lied to and this man is just that a liar . Not only that but rude and insulting because my Lincoln had always been cared for and had a new car smell. It is no longer the car it was from sitting outin the sun and the rain. It is hard to find someone good to work on a classic. I had the same problem last year with an idiot who did not know what he was doing.

We were on our way to a cabin in the mountains when our car stopped accelerating. At 3:45pm on a Friday afternoon Chris didn't bat an eye at helping us and stayed late to make sure we could get back on the road. Chris, the owner is very honest and helpfull and offered great service at a reasonable price.Services: General repairs & maintenance

My friend and I were in Blue Ridge from Canton for a weekend away when my car stopped accelerating. I couldn’t make it up the incline of 76 any more, so I pulled over on the side of the highway. Hiley’s was the ONLY shop at 3:45 on a Friday that was willing to see me, AND, I just happened to pull over on the side of the road right by Hiley’s. They were even so kind to pull me up their driveway, so I didn’t need to call a tow. The crew stayed late and got me back on the road so that I could still enjoy my weekend. Honest folks, and I am so thankful they were willing to help us the way they did. Thank you!!

Recently had a major cooling problem with my Jaguar XFR and these guys did a pretty good job. This included cooling pipes and an oil cooler replacement. It runs much better than before and they used all oem parts so big plus there. Easy to work with also. But what I'm struggling with is the price for the quality of work performed. The vac lines are routed incorrectly or not secured to the brackets and because of this my engine cover no longer can be secured. I found this out after hearing a rattle from the engine bay and finding the cover shaking around loosely so this was to my surprise. I would recommend this shop but just be aware you may have to do some rework.

Needed to get 4 acorn lugs removed because I didn't have the key. They took the 4 off (one on each wheel) and replaced them with new ones I provided. Took em about 15 minutes and they charged me $120.So I'd be sure to get an idea what these guys are gonna charge ahead of tineService: General repairs & maintenance

Chris Highley was great! Our engine light came on as we were traveling through some steep mountains, so we brought our vehicle in. Chris was courteous, used his diagnostic machine, found what could be the problems, and wrote up an estimate. He cleared the engine codes and told us to drive it for a few days, and if the engine light came back on, bring it in for repair, but if it did not, it was probably a false alarm caused by the steep grade of the mountain (we are from Florida where it is flat). Well, the engine light did not come back on, and we are home in Florida safe and sound! Chris did not charge us a penny for the diagnostic work! Thank you Lord for guys like Chris who are honest and fair-wish there were more like you in the world!??

Always get an estimate on what the estimate will cost. It cost me $120 for an estimate. On the phone when they told me what was wrong, I was told they knew what it was as soon as they started the engine. My fault, I guess. Nice guy at the counter.Service: Engine repair

While on vacation in Blue Ridge, GA from Michigan, we received a check engine light and several other alarms, eventually losing power steering among other issues... We were recommended to Highley's; Chris saw us immediately and was thorough, professional, and trustworthy. He diagnosed the problem, located the part that needed to be shipped in and repaired the problem within 48 hours, allowing us to return on the road home in time. Given the circumstances, I couldn't have asked for a better experience with an auto shop. Panicking, knowing our family had a 10-hour drive home in the next couple of days, Chris went above and beyond to ensure we made it home safely. We would highly recommend Highley's!!
