On my first visit I received a haircut from Helen, the owner, now retired who was filling in for an employee who was on vacation. It was by far the best haircut I have had in the 5 years I have lived in Blairsville. Even better, she only charged $25 and was very proud that the rates at her salon were the lowest in Blairsville. Well, I recently went back and had a stylist named Darlene. The first thing out of her mouth was a disparaging comment about Helen bragging that she gave the best haircuts. Well, Darlene, she wasn’t bragging but merely stating a fact. The haircut I received from Darlene was on par with a haircut from a cosmetology student at the local technical college and then proceeded to charge me $40; outrageous. I won’t be back.
