If you have the chance to use literally any other company, do so. We have never had such a poor customer service experience with a company. We bought a house with their tank already on the lot, called to have someone come out and relocate the tank. They sent someone out and filled the tank - we were not notified the day of that they would be coming out. Called 3-4 more times to have someone come out and look at moving it, finally got it scheduled. We were then charged over $300 for someone to come out for 5 minutes to give a $1,200 quote to move the tank. We were never told about this cost over the numerous calls we had to get this problem resolved. Called again and we were told the system was down and they would call back, never heard back from them. Truly awful customer service, bad business practice - avoid them if you can.

I had my tank filled and the next day I got a coupon in the mail for .25 cents off per gallon. I called and got nowhere. I emailed and no answer. I put a note in when I paid the bill and still no response. It appears Amerigas doesn't care about their customers.

How are we supposed to call if the number is incorrect on google? First of all my grandfather is 90 years old and has asked for his gas to be refilled and they have yet to do it. How have y’all not been shut down for poor buisness?

The worst service. If I could give a minus I would. I’ll just say they SUCK. Switched to Gas inc. they treat us like their business depends on us, Amerigas never came out to fill our tank even after they put a monitor on last September 2023. and now have the gall to charge us almost $300 for having to pick their old tank up after switching. Sorry Amerigas your poor service is the reason you had to pick your tank up and lost our business

Do not. I repeat, DO NOT choose Amerigas. I have been a new customer since October of 2023. Not one invoice has been correct. I call every day and continue to sit on hold with customer service, most often disconnected over 5 times on each call... to which you have to call back and start over. I will not make a payment until and unless someone answers my call, answers my questions and corrects my issues. Otherwise, they can come get their tank. Come get it empty, come get it full. I REPEAT DO NOT CHOOSE AMERIGAS.

Pickens county hit with a tornado last week. We are on the amerigas program where it is automatically filled when it reaches a certain level. We installed a generator 3 years ago after experiencing a 4 day power outage to ensure our family was safe and prepared for future outages. Our generator kicked in Thursday afternoon when the storms hit. Friday morning we checked our gas level and it was at 17%, meaning it had to be at only 25%, way below where the auto fill program comes into play. Spoke with them Friday morning and was assured since we were a valued customer, they would come out that day (Friday) or Saturday. Needless to say, calling back on Saturday, we are told they don’t even deliver on the weekends. We’ve put up with their “customer service hiccups” the past few years and stuck with them through their “difficult times”, which was based on the emails, letters, etc. we received begging us to forgive them for being a less than CSR friendly business. We’ve seen other gas trucks through Bent Tree during this storm, ensuring their customers were taken care of. It will cost you a little more to go with another company, but after losing $500+ worth of groceries, and waiting for something that was promised…. You have to choose someone you can trust, and amerigas is not a reputable or trustworthy company. I also see there was a class action lawsuit involving fraudulent gas fills and I wish I had been a part of that. Each bill seemed harder to understand exactly how much they truly put in each time

Never go here. Just say no. It is the worst company. Both the local and national offices. They literally changed their service department to have auto text messages because they had so many complaints from people that they never called back. The rep actually told me this.Run. Run the other way.

It's been a week since we ordered our propane. This isn't the first time we have had to wait a week or more for my gas to be delivered! We have no heat or hot water!! And don't bother trying to call them directly. They have outsourced their calls! They also wouldn't let me get an UPDATE on when gas will be delivered to OUR house because I'm not my husband!! I'm really angry. And it has been like this the while time I've lived here! (Except the outsourcing of their calls seems new) probably because they don't want to have to tell customers bad news all the time themselves!! Get it together!!!

Bought a home in Ellijay 1 year ago and began using Amerigas. We have a guest and main house. They come to our home but only fill one tank. I have contacted customers' service 3 times, given them directions and my phone number. Delivery guy "Phil" keeps filling up large tank even tho it only takes a couple of gallons because he fills it each time out but unaware of second tank. I spent hours waiting to talk to customers' service and they all apologize, but no gas to 2nd tank. I don't live here full time so not much I can do.Asked to have drivers' number but won't do that, keep delivering and charging delivery fee of $89.Calling them takes 45 minutes and nothing they do helps even tho they put me onto 2 account numbers and using the account number for 2nd tank does not alert driver; nor directions to 2nd tank on order form (it's 40 feet away). My 2nd tank is now empty.and their customers' service lines are busy.

Okay so our tank can hold a maximum 250 gallons according to their company they claim they have brought out 370 gallons and is billing us for 270 gallons because we've already paid for 100 gallons but here's the problem they put it in our neighbor's tank and they've openly admitted twice that they had to go through the chain link fence to get to the tank that they put the gas in knowly that we do not have a chain link fence around the yard so the company said okay we will charge the individual where we've accidentally purposely dropped off the fuel at the wrong place no they did not give them a bill they gave us a bill of $1,350.77 to pay for their screw up so if we want gas we have to pay that amount of money on top of the nearly $500 that we've already paid for 100 gallons to get fuel they claim that we are at 80% pictures will follow and what we are truly on and exactly how many maximum gallons we can hold

We are on automatic refills, came home to the coldest night of winter with no gas. Was never informed of anything & found out by walking into a freezing home. Called to find out why our tank was never filled or topped off & was left to empty, was told they were behind & would be coming the next day. We ensured to have the driver contact us in order to give us 15 minutes for someone to be present so they would not lock our tank. We called twice that day before they came, to make sure the driver had the correct number to contact us & we were informed everything was took care of. Sure enough, no one ever called, we called on the way home from work & they said it was delivered, we arrived home & the tank had a lock on it. Meanwhile, we have called numerous of times expressing our frustration being 1. We should have never ran out being on automatic refill. 2. We were told the driver would contact us so someone could be there & 3. This is day THREE without heat, & they have YET to send someone out to remove the lock. If I could leave a worse review, I would. The lack of customer service is absurd, we will be changing companies considering we’ve been without heat for three days in 20 degree weather. I DO NOT recommend this company which is disappointing because we have been using them for 27 years.

I've been doing business with AmeriGas for ten years; no more. My tank was down to 20% when I called for a delivery on Dec. 22, 2020. Amerigas couldn't say when they could schedule a delivery but would but be within 7-10 days. Come January 5, 2021, no delivery and my tank is to 5%. It took calling the central office (??) to get routed to the local Jasper Ga. office. I'd tried consistently to call the local office but never got off 'wait' music; No place to leave a message, never an answer, When I finally reached the Jasper office , they had no delivery recorded for me. They couldn't tell me when they. could make a delivery but offered that I could check their website within 24 hours to see if there was a delivery time; they had no idea when I could receive delivery. I've switched propane companies -- to someone who has their act together and can act like a business .

Don't believe what customer service tells you when it comes to delivery schedule.
