THIS PLACE IS THE WORST!!!! DO NOT EVER EVER EVER EVER USE THEM!!!! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND COMPLETELY MESS UP YOUR ORDER.THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS ARE VERY VERY VERY UNINFORMED. I'M FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB BECAUSE IMMEDIATELY THEY'RE TRYING TO MAKE ME PAY MORE MONEY FOR THEIR MISTAKES. YOU CAN NEVER TALK TO A MANAGER, ONLY REPS AND UNINFORMED SUPERVISORS WHO CAN'T HELP. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET RELOCATED SINCE AUGUST 30TH AND IT'S NOT SEPTEMBER 5TH AND MY STUFF STILL HASN'T BEEN MOVED AND I BELIEVE THE MOVERS THEY USED STOLE PART OF MY BELONGINGS. I HAD TO FLY BACK TO GET A TRUCK TO LOAD THE BELONGS THEY LEFT, BECAUSE I WAS SENT A WRONG CONTAINER FROM THE START. I'VE GOTTEN A LITTLE DISCOUNT, BUT NOW MY STUFF ISN'T GETTING PICKED UP AS SCHEDULED AGAIN AND AGAIN NO ONE HAS ANY ANSWERS AND THEY'RE TRYING TO CHARGE ME MORE MONEY. I WISH I WOULD OF CHANGED SERVICES . DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL COST!!!! THEY ARE COMPLETE TRASH!!!

Save yourself from this experience.Overpromising and under-delivering. My units were scheduled to be picked up on the 19th. Two days later, they were still in my driveway. The 8-10 business day delivery of my pods were impacted and pushed back until AFTER the July 4th holiday. Customer service agents, sales reps and managers had different explanations, different communications and different timelines. The compensation for this experience was $100 on a $6k order. Not acceptable by any standard. Go with a more reputable organization.

I contracted with Zippy Shell as I was moving from Florida to Georgia. The initial drop off of the container went fine although they came later in the day than they were supposed to. The container itself was not in good shape and difficult to lock but I managed OK. After that, everything went downhill. They wanted to pick up the container too soon when I wasn't ready. Especially when they had dropped it off late. Two days after it was packed and ready to go I still cannot get them to pick the container up and the buyer of my house is livid as he cannot get his moving truck into the driveway. Multiple calls to customer service as well as speaking to two separate supervisors resulted in no satisfaction. The usual responses were "we've talked to the facility manager and they will try to expedite it." Very poor customer service and very poor communication. I will never use this company again.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. First, they didn't come when they said they would, second.... The two men they called "movers" were two inexperienced clods that while moving the first piece of furniture (an average sized dresser), damaged the wall in two places and dropped the dresser on the stairs. We fired them immediately and then had to scramble to find another moving company. Now ZippyShell has the nerve to still charge us a cancellation fee!!!!

The only pleasant thing about Zippy Shell was the drivers and Michele who I spoke with over in their Alabama location. Everything else was an absolute nightmare. My pod arrived a day late for me to pack it. I already had family and friends on standby to help and they had to wait an extra day. Then when I moved I was told it would take about 10 business days for my pod to arrive, no problem. BUT my pod apparently went to a storage facility and I actually wouldn’t be receiving it for a little over a month. That’s a month where we didn’t have beds, clothes, my child’s toys, my animals enclosures. NOTHING. We contacted multiple people trying to figure out options and the best they could offer was for me to drive four hours out to their facility to get my things. This is not feasible as I have already spent thousands of dollars (plus ridiculous additional add on fees) on this company who have zero regard for their customers or their families. One of the managers called me and personally apologized and said he will try to move up the date that my pod will arrive and he will issue me a refund for all of the trouble. He never even tried to move up my date and all I got was a measly $49 refund after I’ve spent close to 5k. I felt blind sided the whole time and there was nothing I could do as they had my whole life in one of their containers somewhere. I will never use this company again and I will make sure that anyone I know who is long distance moving doesn’t use them either. This company is extremely unprofessional and nothing but an extremely expensive headache.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Worst pod company out there: My pod was delivered almost a full week later than what my agreement said, and when I called about this I was told it was due to lack of availability to pick up/deliver pods. I had to live out of my suitcase with barely any of my possession for two weeks. Not one customer service representative told me that the dates were subject to change, or that it could be as long as weeks/months until people get their things. It made my moving process a lot more stressful and unpleasant than just getting a u-haul or using a different company. Their customer service is also awful and I'm usually on hold for at least 30 minutes when trying to contact someone. Representatives are typically very rude. Zippy shell is cheaper than other companies and that's the only positive, but the cheap price is not worth it at all.

We were told our shell would be delivered to our new location 2 weeks after it was picked up on 6/24. I called on 7/2 and was I formed that it was still at the origination facility and they didn’t know when we’d get it. Unacceptable. I called again on 7/6 and was told I’d get an email that day for delivery on 7/7. No email, no delivery. I called 7/8 and was told that rep was wrong and it was still at the origination facility with no known delivery date. I called again on 7/9 and was told it was at the destination facility and we’d get an email with a delivery date. That came and was for 7/24. Weeks after we should have received it. I called on 7/23 as I had not gotten a delivery time and was told between 8am and 8pm on the 24th, and we’d get a call. At 7:30pm the 24th we had no call, so I called again. The rep said it showed it was supposed to be delivered, and some drivers stay out later, but he couldn’t confirm if we’d get it. He said if we didn’t I could call for an update the 25th (Sunday) because they still deliver and are open. They were a no show no call the 24th so I called the 25th and was told I couldn’t speak to a supervisor because they don’t work sundays, there are no deliveries sundays, and they don’t know when we’ll get it. My biggest frustration is the lack of communication and transparency. They should have contacted us and told us delivery was delayed to the 24th. When the driver wasn’t going to make it the 24th we should have had a call and been given another date. This company deletes all of their negative Facebook comments or tags in posts. Their FB page will show multiple comments, but when you click to view none come up. They don’t allow commenting on Instagram, or tagging of the main company. I wish I had read and trusted the reviews, but we used them as a last minute emergency when we couldn’t get an additional pod. Our POD came on time, picked up on time, they communicated with us, and delivered on time. This is a nightmare. We’ve paid them thousands in full since the auto take everything.

Over a week after my things were packed and stored, despite being told my unit could be delivered on a specific date, I was told that my delivery was in fact not confirmed, and only after calling to re-request the same date, told that it was not even in the delivery region, and thus I could not even request a date for delivery (even though I had before with another rep). After 3 days of being told my unit would arrive in the region “that night,” it finally arrived and I was told I could not schedule a delivery sooner than two weeks (16 days after the initial delivery date I was promised). I still do not have my belongings, nor is the company returning my messages.

Keep in mind, ZippyShell will not guarantee a date of delivery, even if agreed upon on calls with representatives beforehand. For example, though I had been told I could receive a certain date and attempted to follow up throughout the week preceding that date, I was told that my things were only then being transported to the destination storage facility, and once they arrived, I was told it would be 16 more days until they could be delivered to me.

We ordered a Zippy Shell large container and were told that they would be able to fit our timeline (1 week lead time) IF we also purchased their loading service. We purchased the loading service and called the day of the move as we were not provided a window for arrival. The representative told us they generally arrive between 8am and 12pm for loading service. We did not receive a call until 12:30, when the company called to tell us our movers had a tire blow and there was no way they could make it today. We asked when the next available time would be and were told that it wouldn’t be until the following Tuesday.We told them this will not work for us as we only went with their company so that we would be out by Sunday. The company said they will see what they can do and give us a call in 30 minutes. 1 hour later I call their line, have to explain the situation again and am told yet again, they’re still working on it and someone will reach out to me within an hour. 1 hour and a half later- no call. I yet again call their number and again have to explain my story to another representative. I’m now told that we’re back to square 1 of Tuesday being our option. I instantly request a refund and after the representative spoke with their supervisor I was told they’re still working to see if they can make arrangements for Saturday. At this point I had 0 faith in the company and was blown away by their lack of communication. I canceled my order and am renting my own u-haul.This company is unreliable and heavily lacks communication skills. Avoid them.

If I could rate 0 I would. We moved across the country and were told it would be delivered to our new place in 10-12 days. They were great when they came to pack up the containers. The contract stated that containers would be delivered to new location 4-6 days after received in the moving city. I received an email the day after the delivery to contact them regarding the delivery so I did then they said they would send another email to confirm delivery with 72 hours. So I received the email stating that containers would not be delivered for 2 weeks which now makes it 3 weeks from the time the containers are delivered to the moving city. Which leaves us without any furniture for 3 weeks not good!! I DO NOT recommend using this company because even if it is in writing they do not follow through on what is stated in the contract!
