This is a great bookstore but the service is rude and inconsiderate. I have been a frequent customer of this location and the former. Why is it when I visit I am never greeted nor receive an inquiry for assistance? Customers who enter the store after me are greeted and helped. After being in the store for well over an hour and approaching the counter to make a purchase, I was completely ignored by the cashier who was engaged in a conversation with a friend. Obviously my money is not welcomed at this establishment. ?

Great bookstore! The staff was friendly, and Alex was super helpful and found the book I was looking for. There seemed to be a lot of variety, and the prices were very fair. I will definitely be back!

The Book Tavern is my favorite bookstore. It is positively tranquil inside, the books are organized in a thoughtful way, and the employees are always kind and helpful. I am so thankful that The Book Tavern is our local Augusta indie bookstore. I love this bookstore!

Absolutely love this little book shop in downtown Augusta. The building is beautiful, with a mix between new books & used to choose from. The staff was kind, and the pricing was fair. Will definitely be a regular here

I've visited this place a couple of times now when I'm in the area. I never leave empty handed. They have a wealth of titles, new and used, and really great staff. They always have great displays, as well, and promote local authors, which I love. I'd always rather spend my buck at a small or local business. It looks small, but they have tons of stuff, plus the store itself is cozy and cute.

Been here twice now and does not let down. They have a large selection of books for different readers. The staff has always been polite and interesting to converse with. They have many books that are on sale, clearly labeled for your attention. Pro tip: ask for a recommendation and spark that conversation. Might be an eye opener for your day.

Book lovers, take note! On my quest to explore bookstores everywhere I go, I stumbled upon this quaint spot. Don't let its size fool you – the collection is great, with an impressive array of LGBT and some foreign language books too, something I wasn’t necessarily expecting for the area. The highlight? The gentleman working there. Not only did he recommend a great poetry book, but he also shared some fascinating insights, making the visit educational and enjoyable. A must-visit for anyone who cherishes a good read.
