Suggs has taken care of our dogs for the last few years and I cannot say enough great things about them. The staff are phenomenal and there is not a lot of turnover, so we know people by name every time we walk in there. Our puppies are always excited to go there and have always been treated well. On multiple occasions, they have saved us with accommodating last minute boarding and do so with a smile every time. I cannot say enough good things about how beneficial they have been for our two huskies!

Suggs Kennel is the very best dog groomer I’ve ever took my Dog to My Little girl Maryjane goes there & They are wonderful with her I’m blessed I’ve had her 19 years and I truly trust them with her !!!?

I have taken my whole crew here (3 dogs, a cat, and a rabbit!) twice and I can tell that they are really taken care of. One of my generally apprehensive dogs came to trust Mr. Robert by the time I got back 4 days later. All animals have been very happy when time to go, and they are spoiled rotten. I will continue to use this kennel as long as I live in Augusta. Prices are decent and this is a military friendly business.EDIT: I boarded my animals for the first time since 2019 and the pandemic for Thanksgiving 2022. I did not do my research before going back, but the Suggs are no longer in charge and there was a difference in care.Both of my dogs, who were perfectly fine before boarding, started having diarrhea and vomiting within 24 hours of my bringing them home. I sent extra wet food in case we had to extend our stay, but found that they were given more than what they should have gotten in a day.The opposite happened with my rabbit, it 'appeared' that he had not been fed more hay since I dropped him off. The bag was still completely full. After a bit of questioning it was revealed that the rabbit was only fed as he ate the hay. But fresh hay should be offered EVERY day, no matter what. He has been boarded several times before and the issue of fresh hay being given every day or his stressful appearance when I picked him up was never an issue before this visit.When I call in regards to these concerns, the new manager was extremely nice but he tried to convince me that what I could see what my eyes was not the case until I pointed out that if my dogs were not overfed, what happened to the extra food? If you did not give it to another dog? And if you fed the rabbit, why was the bag of hay still completely full? He deeply apologized but with my dogs still very sick 4 days later, I don't know if I will use Suggs Kennel again. Again, very nice people but I think they were just overwhelmed with boarders for the Thanksgiving holiday. If that be the case then maybe a limit should be in place so that the animals are receiving the proper care.

Been using them for years. My doggo loves this place and actually gets excited to go! The folks working there are very nice and seem to really care about the animals.Old school, though, don't bring your credit card expecting it to be a payment method, cash and check only.

I have never left my pups at a kennel before. I was extremely nervous and distraught at the thought of leaving them somewhere for an upcoming business trip. Suggs' team were absolutely amazing! Not only did they take good care of my boys but the took care of me too, dealing patiently with my calls and check ins. Especially Samuel and Mark! I really appreciate the great care they gave my babies

We had our dog here for 5 days during the Christmas week . The staff was friendly and the cost was low . The problem I have with this place is there was over 85 dogs here when we got our dog and he was covered in his own pee . They did not bath him and he was like this for almost 2 days . We had to throw his bed out when he got home and bath him. He has been not himself since we picked him up. From what I can see there was just to many dogs to take care of . But also if you leave your pet here and they have an accident they won’t call to tell you . And they only bath them if they are scheduled be bathed . My dog will not be going back here .
