I have assisted Mrs. Erica, the lead cook, in the kitchen in the month of January. She gladly let me volunteer in pursuance of a school project. I learned how attentive and dedicated she is to the work she does with The Salvation Army. As a person who has been behind both sides of the counter, she truly has tireless character and heart, creating a welcoming environment. I will happily continue to find time for what Mrs. Erica alongside The Salvation Army Center of Hope does for others.

This review is for the young receptionist when you walk in. I can't remember her name, but she was very sweet and helpful. She went above what was needed and I greatly appreciate her for helping my sister.

Women with and without children, and men, it's a bed, shower and meals. The only thing I would suggest is that having to leave at 8am and check in at 5pm, leaves me some times looking for a place to go to dress for work@4-10 or 12 pm... Having family emergencies or just not being able to get there before 9, I am locked out and subjected losing my bed and all my things are bagged up.The place is definitely resourceful and necessary, however;,, I would appreciate being able to stay inside for medical and personal reasonsThe staff is awesome, they are kind, caring and respectful. So I really don't have any problems with Salvation Army.Rules need revaluated for people who have jobs, medical illnesses and those who needs shelter throughout the day. Thanks for everything.

NOT A WOMEN'S SHELTER,NOT GOOD FOR THE DISABLED. PRETTY MUCH A WORK CAMP. ARMY STYLE. AND YOU PACK EVERYTHING UP AND LEAVE THE NEXT MORNING AFTER YOU WORK SOME MORE. I'D DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY ASSISTANCE YOU MAY NEED. BUT NOT FOR SHELTER.
