Pet Stores & Supplies
Hollywood Feed
630 Crane Creek Dr Suite 108, AugustaI love stopping in to visit and pick up all of my niche and quality pet items. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly and the store is ALWAYS clean and organized. Travis, the store manager, is like a walking encyclopedia when it comes to pet care. He is always so warm and approachable. If he doesn’t know the answer, Travis will find out for you because he is dedicated to giving you the best customer service possible and because he will be curious as well. You will never get a pitiful “I don’t know” for an answer followed by seeing someone’s back as they are walking away that has unfortunately become too common at most places. Not from him or any of his employees. They are all true animal lovers which comes across in the work that they do. This is my go to store for everything that I need for my pups and at a reasonable price.

Fetch 501
501 Broad St, AugustaThis placed is closed/empty all signs of this ever being a dog/pet store/grooming etc. are non existent. We just took our small dog there for grooming this past weekend and today I walked past and it was empty, called and was informed closed for seasonal not sure what that means. Does anyone know if the groomers are still around town? Love the groomers best one's yet, hope they return or at least read the reviews. My experience was a 5 and so I will rate on that.

Meadow Brook Kennels
3424 Milledgeville Rd, AugustaWe've been taking our dogs here for years. They use awesome products that leave the dogs smelling good for...well as long as dogs can smell good for lol. A family friend has a dog that has a naturally funky smell to him and she booked an appointment with a local groomer but was disappointed when her dog came back smelling the same. We recommended her to this kennel and she was genuinely shocked when she got him back smelling like a brand new dog! They're awesome.

Her love for animals shines through and exudes in such a way you feel that your fur baby is in good hands. Hannah was such a sweet, caring soul as well. They were all so kind and so respectful towards our decisions and our loss. They went above and beyond to accommodate our wants and needs and I’m very grateful to each and everyone of the staff members who helped and took their time with us through this difficult and heartbreaking time. VetIQ Petcare
3209 Deans Bridge Rd, AugustaStaff was very nice, proficient, willing to help and even made my big grandson feel safe. I love that the staff was able to stay on the phone with his parents and break down the pricing for the products. That took patiencw and time and I'm glad they did that. I would recommend anyone to go. The Vet didn't rush to give information and walk off like most doctors. I think that's rude when someone wants answers, but the Vet Dr. was on point and caring. They didn't forc anything. Just gave the information and the education. Bout time I go somewhere in GA and the people are nice. No, I gotta set up an appointment for my Bubbles.

Mc Neill Ruth DVM
244 Boy Scout Rd, AugustaMy review pertains to an event that happened months ago. My dog began vomiting one night suddenly. She had been much less active that day and was acting differently but we had no clue anything was wrong until she started getting sick. Her health declined rapidly and we didn't know what was wrong. She got a fever and was shivering and was so sick I wasn't sure she was going to make it. We took her to our normal vet and they told us she had an infection in her uterus which they could see on X-ray and that they would need to do emergency surgery to remove her uterus and the surgery would cost $1200. Before committing to have the surgery we decided to have a second opinion because our vet didn't actually let us see the X-ray and just wanted us to give them $1200 right then in order to save our dog's life. Of course we would do anything to save her life, but the symptoms just didn't match up completely. My mother in law uses this vet and told us to go here for a second opinion. They did xrays and blood work and it turned out she had a horrible stomach bug due to eating a raw bone with meat still attached that was purchased at a pet store. They prescribed antibiotics and anti nausea meds and she was feeling better within hours. The other vet clearly didn't see what they claimed they saw in the X-ray because that is not what was making her sick and if we had gone ahead with the surgery as they suggested we would have lost our best friend. I am so thankful that Westside has an experienced vet that is honest and caring. I highly recommend Westside Animal Hospital. Also, after this experience I warn people to not give their dogs any raw meat, even if purchased specifically for dogs.

Outpatient Vet Clinic
3039 Peach Orchard Rd, AugustaThey were open for walk ins when all other vets were booked for the day and week. My poor baby had a UTI. We waited 10 minutes, probably less than that, and out the door within 20 minutes. The doctors expertise showed with the way he handled my pet. The office is a little small, but with how short my wait time was it didn't matter. I definitely will bring my other pets in when it's time to update their vaccines. Photo is of my poor baby cat.

Dr. Tribby, Catherine and Sam (in addition to the other ladies I unfortunately didn’t get the name of) took care of my dog as well as comforted me in a very stressful situation. A+ Pets & Plants
2801 Washington Road, AugustaAll three of my puppies have had a great time when their babysitters come to play with them!! I think they even learned some social skills and how to make better choices when they’re very excited, the structure and personality of their new friends seems to help. It’s nice that the other little things are taken care of too, like mail and trash bins and plants. The pictures and videos of their pup-tivities are adorable and make it easier when I have to be away from them! Prices are way more affordable than boarding too

Graced Kennel Boarding, Daycare and Training
1918 Colony Park Rd, AugustaIn July 2023, I moved to the area, and as I settled in, my biggest challenge was finding a boarding facility with which I was comfortable for my two (spoiled rotten, over-protected, coddled) Chihuahuas, both of whom are treated as my children! Dont ever say, "They are just dogs." I have only dealt with one other facility, which was in West Virginia, where I previously lived, and which was terrific, so a new facility in Augusta had to measure up to a very high standard. When I first visited Graced Kennel, I knew I had found what I had been looking for. I picked them up today from a weekend, 3 day stay, and I was thrilled at their attitudes when I brought them home. No signs of fear or anxiety! They were happy, energetic, and, of course, glad to see me. Jimmy has been so patient with me as I worked through my anxiety of leaving my babies with total strangers! I'm impressed with their facility that meets the needs of all dogs (the setting is incredible), their mission of hiring people who are recovering as their staff, their expertise with regards to dogs, pets, and their parents, and my feelings of relief that once again I've found a safe and loving place where I feel entirely comfortable leaving these two very important beings in my life. If you need day care or boarding services, Graced Kennel is where you need to go. I know it's the only place in August's where I will leave my kids!

7 Brew Coffee
105 Charlestowne Way, AugustaVisiting Augusta for a long weekend and one of my favorite things to do is find fun coffee shops. This isn't exactly a coffee a shop it's a drive thru. It's very similar to one of my favorite ones in Dallas - no not Dutch Bros but when I spoke with the broista they said they are compared to them. I not only went once - I went back a second time. There's a secret menu and the first visit I had a popular on menu drink. The second day I asked what the favorite was on the secret menu. She said something about a salty - something. Both drinks were delish. My husband who doesn't drink coffee had some shake which he enjoyed. I would love for them to open one in North Dallas. Good coffee. Fun vibe.

Bodega Ultima
353 Highland Ave, AugustaI do not usually like lavender drinks but the lovely waitress recommended it when I asked. I was intrigued by the mixture of white mocha (which I love) and the lavender. I full well expected it to taste perfume and just as plain awful as they usually do... BUT I was pleasantly surprised when it tasted AMAZING! Still not a lavender fan but it is by far the best one I have ever had with a shuttle yet refreshing Lavender taste and a wonderful white chocolate finish with a hint of lavender. I was amazed that it did not overwhelm my taste buds and more so that you could taste all of the flavors, not just the lavender. The waitress did excellent from start to finish, we were never rushed by any of the staff and it was a wonderful and very relaxed no pressure atmosphere! My kids were wanting to explore the patio a bit as we had been at appts all morning so they weren't quite willing to sit right when we got there and the fountain caught their eyes immediately! The papas were amazing, skip the ketchup and go straight for whatever blessing of sauce they provided! It's sort of like a lite BBQ flavor with zing and taste bud awakening flavors. The sauce definitely pushes these to the top of my must have list. The goat milk yogurt parfait is delicious. Ps.Goat milk is gross and most days the flavor sucks and makes we gag. But this coat milk yogurt with honey, granola and fruit was blissful on my tongue. It was creamy like a freshly whipped cream cheese, the honey was fantastic by itself but they complimented each other very nicely with just the right amount of sweetness.I was however disappointed by one item. The croissant breakfast sandwich was good but didn't hold up to what the rest of food and beverage led me to believe it was going to be. I kind of expected it to take center stage with it's aioli. I love aioli but this was lacking by possibly the amount of aioli that was on it or by the flavor of the aioli. I definitely recommend getting extra maybe just going straight for the papas sauce! Maybe add a little salt and pepper to the egg. Though the bacon was perfectly crisp and flavor full. Over all I'm impressed, ready and excited to go back for round two!

CSRA Humane Society
425 Wood St, AugustaI'm mainly reviewing bc the two one star reviews are from one person who got turned down for adoption bc they wanted to cut a cats knuckles off (declawing) and the other bc someone missed their appointment for volunteer orientation. Think of the animals instead of yourselves. Rescue is unforgiving and hard and these are petty reasons to leave a bad review for an animal rescue. That said, this is a no kill shelter! Go and see if your soul pet is there waiting for you.
