Bizarrely, the entrance was on the back side of the store where it looks more like you're in a warehouse district. It wasn't the most impressive Asian grocery, and indeed the other one I visited nearby was better in selection on almost everything I look for: Asian produce, fresh noodles, hot sauces and oils. The notable aspects of this one were an owner who really knew his selection, and who commented on the fact that I must be a vegetarian. The reason being that I bought (and they sell) an absolutely enormous variety of tofu. There were frozen tofu bits, tofu sheets, fresh tofu, tofu with some kind of "lava" inside. I found at least four separate sections in the store with notable amounts of tofu products. So while I didn't buy a ton of other things, I will be flush on soy products for a while and would definitely recommend to any vegetarian looking for some high-protein products to come here.

This is one of my favorite Asian Marketplaces of all time. They are well stocked, have superb quality, and are very friendly.

When my husband and I were there, we grabbed an expired bread with molds , we didn’t realize until we got to the counter. My husband pointed it out and said that they should be checking their products regularly to avoid customers getting an expired product. The man on the counter literally said “just return it to the shelf where you got it, you don’t have to buy it if you don’t want it or you can go to other Asian store!” The audacity of this oriental store selling expired products and the attitude is beyond me!!! Since then we never went back to this horrible place!!! If I can give a 0 score to this place, I would!!Glad we found Cho Bah Mien, Kim store and Z oriental market place!

New look, same poor customer service. I'm honestly surprised that he can still keep this place running given the history of selling expired items and treating customers poorly. I would recommend the new one by Famosa or even Amazon. Also take note that not every item is marked**.

The Woner of this is very rude and racist. I ask him about an item he didn’t understand what I was asking for got very frustrated told me that I’m asking too many questions. I had few times to purchase and told me that I can’t buy these items and told me not to come to his store.

Would have been nice because they're closer. But, don't have what I need for the most part and you can't take the cart outside because they closed the front door and you have to go out at the back on the stair.

The entrance is in the back! I'm glad I was warned ahead of time about where the entrance is. You walk up a set of stairs that was right next to the dumpster, which was a bit aromatic when I dane by on a weekday. The workers at this location were not keen on interacting, but when I did approach asking about dashi packs the cashier seemed friendly enough. There are a wide variety of teas available, but most of the meat is frozen. The produce looked like it was of acceptable quality and there was a good variety. For dried goods and teas, this market is a good option. There were not a lot of expiration dates on anything, so for sure I would watch out for that with packaged items.
