My 14 year old Shiba Inu tore both her acl. I was terrified we would lose her. Dr Kevin Kunkel was absolutely amazing. The entire staff, the middle of the night ICU staff too, all kept it together for us! God Bless every single one of these angels at Blue Pearl!

The worst emergency animal clinic to go to. I brought my dog in because he appeared to be seizing, and I had just lost a dog in February with no known cause. They immediately stated at the desk that my dog looked like he had THC. They harped on this the whole time, though he even peed in the lobby as he was barely able to get on his feet from once we had walked in. His symptoms were sudden lethargy, sudden loss of awareness, unable to determine who I was and afraid, difficulty with back legs, racing heartbeat, tongue hanging out, and uncontrolled urination. They were so adamant that they stated testing needed to be done. The testing came back negative according to them which they stated to me but they still put THC because that's what they believed despite the objective test results and myself denying this was not even possible at which point they blamed my neighbors. They wanted to keep him over night even though they were already wrong and then charged me $830 with no resolution and no apparent knowledgeable vet on site. Horrible experience and will not recommend them to anyone. I thought I was losing my dog and because they "see this a lot," this is how they diagnosed my dog and they were proven wrong yet chose to go with that incorrect diagnosis and did not properly treat him or treat me with respect to which I had another family memeber come because it just did not feel right. I have told them about poor ethics, and they do not care. You all should not be surprised as this was the care we were given, and I have already called to talk to someone because I wanted to report to the ethics committee, and it went no further than that conversation until now. I can't reply to your comment, but I have no interest in listening to you all defend this treatment.

The experience we had with Blue Pearl Augusta was unpleasant. Had we gone on the veterinarian and staffs “observation of the dog, we would have euthanized as it seemed no hope. However, once we insisted on seeing the dog ourselves, everything we were told was inaccurate and the animal was not at that point. The dog left within an hour and was running zoomies, eating, and happy! The veterinarian, Sequoia Bruinton, at this location of Blue Pearl need to listen to the owners and not speak in a rude manner and follow a “one size fits all mindset! Not every animal is the same!
Other Blue Pearl locations have been excellent with knowledgeable veterinarians.
The picture is the dog once he arrived at home from Blue Pearl and is aware!

The veterinarian was very patient and thorough. The veterinarian technician was absolutely the kindest person I have encountered. She was so caring with my dog. The care provided was exceptional! Blessed to have them in our community in Augusta.

This was my fourth visit there over the past two years. Two of the visits she had to have hip toggle surgery. I couldn’t be more pleased with the care she has had there.

Great service and nice staff! The vet tech and Dr. Runnels were great with my cat (Acorn) that was experiencing a severe UTI. I took her in and the staff took us into a room right away. We had to wait about 45 mins to be seen by a tech and we were there for a few hours but it was SO worth it because I know they were trying their best with treating my kitty to the best of the abilities. The vet tech made sure I knew what was going on at all times and gave me at home directions of how to medicate her. Highly recommend if you need an EMERGENCY vet! ?

I want to share with you all how Thankful I was with Blue pearl and their staff!! They are very loving and kind. Having them there on a holiday weekend was so Awesome. Our fur Baby would not have survived without them. They kept us informed on everything even the wait time. Letting you know that it’s going to be an hour or two was appreciated and had us mindset knowing. Comforting us on everything step. I will always be grateful to them and their staff. ❤️

This place was the only animal hospital open at the time & we had no choice but to come here. Our dog was in anaphylaxis shock when we brought her. My husband had to perform CPR on her in the car as she was not responsive at all. They saw her quickly and said she was in anaphylaxis and they administered the necessary medications. When the Vet came in she was saying she recommended blood work which was $600 dollars alone & that she may need a plasma transfusion?. I’m in the medical field and have read the reviews on here so I know they are all about $ and they don’t care about your animal at all. I’m so glad I made the decision not to do it. Everything would’ve been $1000 easy without “plasma transfusion”. We only paid $350 for the necessary medications. We followed up with her Vet the next day and he checked her out and said she was fine and didn’t need any of that as she was very young still. Paid $60 for that and Thank God she’s been fine since. Go with your gut & follow your instinct just do what’s absolutely necessary and don’t let them bully or scare you into spending $ that you don’t have to! Please go anywhere else!

200 ER visit...
400 Blood work? ?
Over 500 for 1 xray??
80 for a dogs blood pressure??
They about the dollars not the pets!
If these crooks are your last resort your screwed! All that and still not an answer to be had! Scum of the earth!
