I left the Ulta Beauty store in Toco Hills today January 7th, 2024 about an hour ago. My husband and I (both African American) went into the store together. No one greeted us, nor asked if I needed any help. I walk towards the Juvia's Place makeup and I'm look for a specific color for a while - never being asked not one time if I needed any help. Meanwhile, there's a young African American woman not too far away watching as I look - never one time moving from her spot just to ask if she could help. My husband and I leave and go to another store. I return at least thirty minutes later, to look for a different color of Juvia's Place lipstick that I saw online, but wanted to buy it from the store. I go to the aisle and I tell a woman in the aisle "excuse me" only to realize moments later that she's a former parent. This parent by the way is a caucasian woman. I say all this to say that in the midst of conversing, we get asked at least 3-4 different times if we needed help which I found to be very interesting. Why wasn't I asked the first time I came in. Ulta, you need to do better with training your people customer service-wise. It's poor. And when you work in customer service, you don't get a chance to pick and choose who to help. Its terrible and I will reconsider coming into this specific location because of the bias.

Did not have a great experience with the customer service at this location. I walked in looking for Too Faced products, asked an associate where it was and she pointed me in the direction of where it was. The product I was looking for wasn’t on the shelf so I needed someone to check the locked drawer below. I found the same associate from before who seemed to be free & asked for help. She paged someone to come help me. I waited 20 mins and got no help. There was however an associate helping an older lady with make up who was right there where Too Faced was located. When she got done she left. Not so much as an acknowledgement of me and we were less than 5ft from each other & she saw me hovering the whole time. So I went to the cashier (there were only 2) and a 3rd employee doing online orders. I asked for help & said that I had been waiting awhile. She responded with the sentiments that they were short staffed and someone would get with me shortly. Again, I waited another 10 minutes and still nothing. All I needed was someone to check the drawer. I found the first girl from before and told her no one has helped me and what exactly I needed. She checked the drawer and GUESS WHAT, the product was there. Something I waited over 30 minutes for and all it took was 30 seconds. I’m truly disappointed, so much of my time was wasted and this would never happen at Sephora. Needless to say I won’t be returning. And judging by the reviews, this is not the first time customer service has been reported.

The beauty sales professionals were friendly and greeted you warmly as you entered the store. However I went on a Saturday which was quite busy but the store is fully stocked with beauty items.

I am a total makeup novice who wandered around the store like a lost puppy. Anna was kind enough to help me and was absolutely fantastic. She made great, specific recommendations that always helped me find just what I was looking for. I'm very happy with my purchases, and I'll likely be back thanks to her amazing service!

Always good for things I use regularly. Uneven customer service store to store, city to city. No consistent personal branding like their major competitor. They could use an upgrade in making consumers feel welcomed. Eye contact, pleasantries go a long way toward putting a product in the hand.

I only recommend u shop at this location if u don't need any assistance because the customer service is beyond horrible!! I stopped an employee on floor to ask could she assist me in choosing correct concealer. She was so blatantly rude I stopped talking & said I'm sorry are u off work?? Because the way she made sure to keep letting me see her look at time on her ph & it was an hour before closing I assumed I stopped her as she was walking out door. She replied rudly no but I was about to go on break! I said OK don't worry I'm good! She then said in a dry voice if you're still here when I'm back I will help u because I am the only person here who can color match. I repeated that I was good & didn't want someone with her attitude pretending to help me. She basically shrugged & walked off laughing. I stayed against my better judgement because I didn't feel like traveling across town the next day to another location only to get to register where there was about 5 ladies behind the register but only one helping customers while the others laughed & talked & pretended to change trash bags. As I waited in line & a line formed behind me they continued laughing & talking. As the only young lady who was ringing up customers (she was sooo pleasant) finished up & I was next, one of the ones laughing & talking turned around & said can I help u. I tried to hold my composure because I honestly assumed all of them were off because that level of bad service is always crazy to witness. As I walked up I said wow I thought all of u were off the way u guys just watched the line form. She just laughed & said did u find everything ok? I said no but don't act like u care u are just saying what they trained u to say. She actually laughed again & just kept chit chatting with the other ladies. My receipt says her name was StephanieIt's so disappointing the service I got because I wasn't finished shopping but I refused to get anything other than what I needed right away. I went somewhere else the following day to get the other items I wanted.This location is NOT for the person looking for ANY assistance!!And to the person responding to ALLL the negative reviews about the horrible customer service they received please don't waste my time pretending to care because those reviews go back almost a year & I was just there last week so clearly there hasn't been any effort for improvement because those ladies didn't have a care in the world about the lack of service they were providing. I guess as long as u continue to get people money u can pretend to care without actually DOING anything smh

The location is clean, organized and well stocked. I'm able to find whatever I need with ease and there are usually staff who are also willing to help. I plan to continue to come back especially as it's close and near lots of other establishments.

This Ulta beauty always have the stuff I need when other ones are sold out so I like to coke here just for that. I take in notice how the cashiers are very professional and nice every time I come here. They always have patience which is very important when it comes to working in a beauty store so I’ll rate them 5 stars overall

I had the worst experience at Ulta Beauty. The customer service was absolutely terrible. The staff seemed completely disinterested in helping me and were downright rude. I asked for assistance in finding a specific product, and instead of offering any help, the employee just pointed me in a general direction and walked away. When I tried to ask further questions, they ignored me completely. It was incredibly frustrating and made me feel like my business was not valued at all. I will definitely be taking my beauty needs elsewhere.

I cannot express how disappointed I am with the customer service at Ulta Beauty. The staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I had a simple question about a product, and instead of providing any assistance, the employee rolled their eyes and gave me a condescending response. It was clear that they had no interest in helping me or providing any sort of quality service. I left the store feeling frustrated and disrespected. I will never shop at Ulta Beauty again and will be sure to share my negative experience with others.

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS ULTAIf I could I would’ve left 0 stars…Let me start by saying that I loooove Ulta but this location in particular is not it.I came in for a pick up order and to get a couple other things. The staff was extremely unhelpful and rude, I asked one of the beauty advisors for some advice on a setting spray and she gave me an attitude and tried multiple times to sell me something that I said I didn’t like from the beginning. I then decided to walk around the store on my own and get some extra things and they were kinda following me around the store like if I was going to steal something. Because I was feeling very unwelcome I decided to just go to the register and pick up my order (that was supposed to be ready hours ago) and they said they couldn’t find the order, and then realized that whoever was supposed to do the pick up order never did it. So I had to wait and extra 20 minutes for them to make the order that should’ve been done hours before I got there.As I said, 0/10, I would recommend for anyone reading this to save themselves the headache and just drive to a different location in Atlanta, I assure you that you won’t regret it lol

I would not recommend the salon at this location. Especially if you are black. When asking about the stylist they recommended me someone they said specialized in black hair and color. Only to find out from the stylist herself that she was nervous about doing my hair all week. That doesn't sound like someone who specializes in what they do. All that to say they over sold her abilities and I am not happy with my hair. The highlights were not done right but unfortunately I could not tell bc my hair was curled at the time. When I called the next day when all the curls were out to express my issue, they stated they could fix it but would have to charge me for styling my hair again. The manager was passive aggressive and the hairstylist never once called me to address the issue. The color was nothing close to the picture I showed her but I accepted it bc the color wasn't horrible...it's just not what I pictured or asked for... she ended up having to redo a few pieces bc it came out too blonde, and my hair was super dry from the blow out. I would not recommend and I will not return to this location after how they dealt with my issue.

Wish I could have left 0 stars! I kindly asked for assistance with an item and you would have thought I asked the staff to carry the world on her shoulders for me. She rolled her eyes and then SLOWLY came to help.... with an attitude!I will not be visiting this store again.

I feel as if I was racially discriminated against by one of the employees. She stared me down as I searched for a perfume. Once I finally decided to ask for help, she gave me the nastiest attitude as if she did not want to help me. She then handed me the box and asked if I had more shopping to do because I asked for multiple bottles of perfume ( it was two bottles) I said I was done shopping but, of course, I wanted to do some impulse shopping. She followed me around the store until I checked out. I'm very disappointed with the customer service that I received upon spending hundreds of dollars.

This ulta is always understaffed. Expect a huge line every time. Hire more people, this is a big story in a big plaza
