Room felt damp and pillows felt "damp" after touching them. I noticed mold on the picture mat in the frame. Clean because there was no trash or hair noted, but just felt icky. If I could've switched hotels I would have. Very conveniently located to Emory for our tour.Rooms: Ehhh. Not a fan. Needs to be remodeled.Walkability: Across the street from campus and close to hospital.Noteworthy details: We did a campus tour of Emory. Allowed to keep the car parked there while we toured. That was a bonus.

Walking distance to Emory U. Old hotel but clean. Our room is HUGE with king-size bed, and plenty of space. Breakfast provided with good outdoor patio.

If I could give a negative star I would payed $189 dollars online reserveing the room just to get there to find out they want another $50 and I didn't have that since I only had enough to cover the gas to drive 4 hours to my surgery and 4 hour home but since I didn't have the extra $50 they said I could not stay there even tho I already paid $189 online will never go there and even if you ask for the bosses number to see if they would help in anyway the people at the front desk won't even give it to you they just keep throwing the $50 fee in your face and said there is no way around it after arguing with them for about 10 to 15 min I just told them to refund my money and left to drive the 4 hours home then 4 hours back to the doctors in the morning thanks for nothing university inn

Very dated. Larger rooms. A bit of an odor. TVs are not HD and are small. Also the water has a brown tint. Unless you are wanting to walk across the street to Emory, I think avoid.

The first night we stayed we got a bottom level room that on top of being very dingy looking absolutely reeked of mold! We asked for another room but were told the smell was coming from the air conditioner and would air out that night. It didn’t. I woke up the next morning having a mild asthma attack and needing my inhaler. When we asked again for another room we got one on the top floor that actually looked nice and didn’t smell of mold at all.I was very surprised to see reviews of other people complaining about the moldy rooms months in advance of our stay and still getting one. If the rooms smell of mold, let alone, have mold visually on the ceilings like ours did then they shouldn’t be used for customers! That’s a huge health concern. If someone got sick from their stay thats a lawsuit in the making. With all that said the staff were very nice and overall accommodating. Our second room looked nice enough even if the inn is a bit old, that’s not really an issue.

Quite short on amenities currently. They are not providing daily housecleaning (only once every 3 days). Also note pool is closed — they mention (bury) this tidbit on the website, despite all the photos and mentions online. Breakfast is weak — gas station pastries, cereal boxes, chewy granola bars (no fresh fruit, eggs, bread, bagels).Good things: Rooms are spacious (not suites, but more room to stretch out than most motels). Friendly staff (nothing above & beyond but they are pleasant).

Crown molding was loose but that's easily fixable. The shower faucet temperature control is on backwards so cold is hot hot is cold. There was a slight smell lingering an ozone machine can fix that. It was a rainy weekend so didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool. Frond desk representative was sweet and pleasant. Made sure that we could check in early. Thank you Miss Montine. ?? Thank you housekeeping department for making it happen ????. There was a courtesy call to see if our room was ok and approved. There was a weird ceiling piece in the closet that could be fixed. Other than that decent price. Free parking on site, complimentary grab and go breakfast.

I stayed here because I had an appointment at the eye center at Emory - I highly recommend it for that reason because it’s super close. The staff was great and the room was large. My low rating is because the pool was closed and I saw a roach in the bathroom on the last day of stay. Yuck.

My mother has been in the ICU at emory hospital for 3 weeks. She was lifesupport for 14 days and came off this past Sunday. I've stayed every night at the hospital with her. Until tonight I was afraid to leave. I called emory inn and they man was so nice and understood got me a room and a discount to help me. The 1st room I got the fridge was leaking water. He moved me to another room within 5 minutes no problem. Very nice and helpful and I'm literally still across the walk way from my mom. Definitely will stay here from now on when we need a hotel. We live 4 hours from here but this is the place that is the best for moms health conditions so we will definitely stay here from now on.

Beware! Lower level rooms have very significant airborne mold! Room 218 is really bad and 215 is not much better. Very difficult to breathe for someone who is sensitive to mold. Hotel still charged us for the room even when there was no way to we could endure one night. The condition is even worse if you stay for surgery at Emory. Apparently there are no regulations for airborne mold in Georgia, but this place is really bad and I strongly encourage you to go elsewhere. Management/Owner does not seem to understand difference between visible mold and airborne mold (which cannot be seen).
